I have been a Vangelis fan for over30 years and i thought i had all of his music and here comes along this most amazing piece that just takes my breath away like so many that he has composed. I can't thank you enough for bringing this most sublime and heavanly piece of music to our ears and life. Vangelis - we love you and Thank You!!!
This is a new piece i've never heard before which fully explores the virtuoso of this mans musical vocabulary. An atmospheric and deeply evocative soundscape that carries you away. Why this piece of music has not been released by Vangelis remains a mystery. Perhaps it has a personnal meaning, but whatever its origin it has a haunting melancholic aura about it and one of his finest suites composed to date. Genius
Among his brilliant film works, (Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire, Antarctica, L'Apocalypse des Animaux, and 1492) ...The Bounty has some of his finest soundscape masterpieces. This is an additional treasure indeed.
Cette musique est vraiment magnifique :) et le plus incroyable c'est que je l'ai découvert par hasard parce que au départ je cherchais les musiques du film Lunes de Fiel de Roman Polanski et j'ai découvert l'artiste Vangelis qui a fait les musiques de ce film et de films cultes et connus comme Blade Runner, les chariots de feu,... Donc voila je ne regrette pas, c'est une sacrée découverte musicale !

Hello! It was released on the CD called Themes 2, which was a special limited release compilation, and was not intended and licensed for public sale. I have this CD in my collection, and I have never seen this track released anywhere else.

I saw The Bounty in a single screen theater in N.C. in 1984. Whatever I felt about the film was amplified several times by Vangelis' wonderful music.
