Carole, You had me cracking up with your facial expressions when you were talking about your fabrics! I think that will be me! That blue fabric reminds me of a exercise shirt I have
I am so excited to join you in this series. ❤ I still plan on using my Lutterloh this year, I just don't know when though.😅😅😅 I just ripped out my seams four times on my raglan sleeve top. I've only done one raglan sleeve and now I remember why I haven't even though I hear these are very easy to do. I have to do more!❤
I knew I could rely on you Nancy!! Thank you so much for doing your wheel, I love your take on it with giving the results immediately. I am not that organised 😂. Let's get this hashtag going xx👏🏼
I love that idea. I have tried to do something similar. So I am just going to have a box and add paper tickets and just draw one out. I can do it for projects to tackle next (WIP's) and perhaps fabrics on one colour paper and patterns on another, so just picking one of each. Great idea
Thanks so much for watching and your idea sounds fantastic! Anything that makes doing projects we aren't keen on or have been putting off more fun works for me. Good luck and keep me updated 🧵😊
Hi there from Australia...I love the Fabric Wheel of Fate! Some of your fabrics on the wheel are uninspiring just now here on the east coast in our current PHEWmidity however, I look forward to seeing you complete your challenges 🇦🇺 🐨
I love your FWofF series :D they are soo much fun. The baby cord would be great quilted as Oakley Vest, the linen mix could become fabulous set of napkins (especially if you do lace edge or monograms) The dbp is asking to be wing top :D Can't wait to see the results
Thanks so much Agata. I love your suggestions and yes, in my mind I think the linen has to be something other than a garment! Let's see what happens. 💗🧵
I started watching your fabric wheel of fate videos last year and made my own with an old clock blank. I re-do thrifted clothes more than I make new ones, so I went through my stash of clothes to remake and came up with 23 items! I pared it down to the most important 12 and wrote them down. I spun it at the beginning of this year, and what I came up with was to make a pattern from an RTW kimono which I am in the process of doing now. By the way, the 23 were only the ones I have here, I have more in storage!
Excited to see the return of the wheel, love the anticipation and seeing the make. Great to see others doing their own version (spin offs 🤭!). I have been strong over the sales period and only shopping my stash, planning ok at present but would definitely do a draw of some sort if I get left with indecision on some fabrics.
Love it! So much fun to see what happens next. I use a lot of Joann's dbp because it's so soft but the poly in it can make it hot to sleep in if that's an issue.
Whooop whooop!!!! Its back!!!!!!! Love the ideas for making our own! Cant wait to participate!! What a smart idea to do an instagram hashtag!!!! I love when you talk to the wheel! Im gonna make me. FWOF of some kind this week!!!! Squeeeeee!❤
Thank you so much Trish and it would be great to get you excited about sewing again!! I talk to the wheel as it only has my best interests at heart...at least that is what I tell myself 😂😂. Really hope you join in as I would love to see what you come up with 💗💗 Still miss you and we need some facetiming 🥰
Just a suggestion, you can always sew something for someone else. For instance, the cord you can make a jumper or jacket for your granddaughter. The first fabric, PJ’s, shorts 🩳. Think out of the box. 😊 good luck.
Thanks for your comment and don't worry, I have used my Fabric wheel for other members of the family in the past! Some of them might not even end up as garments. Great ideas thank you. 🧵😊
Return of the FWoF!!! Yea, what a fun Monday video. Can’t wait to see what you make. I’m starting a top today of fabric I’ve had too long. In my case, it’s been FoCO…isn’t that what you called fear of cutting out? It’s so beautiful, but I don’t want it to on my shelf another season, so here goes. Happy sewing! 😊-Deborah
Hi Deborah! Ha ha you remembered my FOCO! I still have a few of those fabrics so well done for being brave. I've just cut out the wheel fabric and taken a chance on something. If I go wrong ... every will see my mistakes 😂. Happy Sewing 🧵😊
Thank you Jen!! I hope I don't let you all down with a boring make. I am still thinking about what to do but I have a deadline now 😂. That is the beauty of the wheel, I know in a week it will all be sewn up! xx💗
Hey Carol! I'm in! The fabric wheel of fate looks really fun and I'm going to make a wheel and give it a try. Funny thing, I think I have that same double brushed poly from Jo-ann's sitting in my stash. LOL, maybe I should make that up first.😂❤
That makes me so happy if you would join in Becky!! It honestly brings a lot of fun into sewing. That is so funny you have the same fabric, I wondered what your original intention was for it? I can't remember mine 😂. Please make that one up first with me! 🧵😊
@socarole66 It's been a while since I bought that fabric but I think I was going to make a dress. Shall we surprise each other and make a video about it? How soon are you hoping to use that fabric?
@ I promised everyone it would be done in a week. I think I've decided what to sew now so will get cracking on it this week. That maybe too soon for you x
@socarole66 I'll see what I can do. I've been recovering from shoulder surgery since November and I'm just starting to sew again but I'm anxious to get back to sewing. Even if I don't get it made in a week, I'll use that fabric just for fun!🥰
Carole, you are a brave lady. I'm sure whatever you decide, will be awesome. And yes, we have all bought fabric simply because it was love at first sight and/or a great bargain and had no idea of what we would make. I'm not on Instagram, but you just might talk me into wasting more time on social media. Have fun! 🤣 Bernadette
Hi Bernadette. Brave or stupid I am not quite sure 😂. I will get such a sense of achievement if these fabrics are made up and especially if they work! I am useless on Instagram but I need to learn to use it as all the other Vloggers use it all the time! Funny really as I am really trying to cut down on phone use 😂. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Hurray! Fabric Wheel of Fate is back, and with a hashtag too! I can’t immediately join in as I have promised a dress for my granddaughter but as soon as that is done I will be on it. I can choose my fabrics though can’t I! Expect to see some truly awful fabric on Instagram, and thanks Carole. You’re a star! Trish S
Hi Trish, I am so pleased that you may join in the fun. I can't wait to see your fabrics 😂There is no time limit, I just want people to enjoy the fun and it really does take the stress out of choosing the next project. Thanks so much 🧵😊
I was yelling out suggestions to you as you were showing each piece of fabric. I hope you know that.😂 i’m so excited for the wheel of fate and for the # hashtag! You know, I will be joining in and posting my pictures. I just have to get a move on with filling the bags! For the ity how about a yoga tank? The cord would make a nice bestie bag(i’m sure you have a pattern similar to that) and I agree with Agata about the double brushed poly Have fun!!!❤❤❤
Thanks so much and why not give it a go too? I know in a couple of months all those fabrics will be sewn up or I have people to answer to 😂. I will have such a sense of achievement then 🧵😊
Thanks so much for your comment and a great suggestion. I am not sure there is enough fabric though and what I was shocked at that I didn't notice was the HUGE selvage! 🧵😊
Looking forward to this Carole (as you know). Not sure I can take part as I don't have a big stash, and all the fabric I do have I know what I want to do with it. However, I will be checking out the Insta page. I'm no good on Insta either, but there is no-one I can ask for help I just have to figure it out which usually involves a lot of swearing 🤨.
HI Carole, all those fabrics look nice. I particularly like the needle cord which would be nice as a short sleeved summer shirt / blouse. The double brushed poly is very nice but I am also at a lose as to what it could make. Whatever you do with it I wait with anticipation 😊
Thanks Babbra, the fabrics as you say are nice but have been stuck in the 'no-sew' zone for too long as I just couldn't think what to make with them so moved onto easier projects! Thanks for your idea re the needlecord, I hadn't considered it as a top. I have a lot of DBP long sleeved tops so it really needs to be something different. Tomorrow is the day I will get cracking on it!! Thanks for watching 🧵😊
I’m so excited the wheel is back! I might actually play along with you because I have a few cuts of fabric I have no idea what to do with. Can’t wait to see what your turn that DBP into! Xx 💞
Thank you Izzy. It would be amazing if you had a go but I know how organised and pre planned you are! I need help with decisions or I waste so many hours staring at fabrics and patterns. To think that in a couple of months all those fabrics will be sewn up is a great weight off my mind 😂. I have chosen a pattern for the DBP but I am really not sure if it will work 😅. Have a great week 💗xx
Thanks so much for your comment and I really appreciate you watching. As long as you are sewing and enjoying it, I am happy with that! Glad you will still follow my challenges! 🧵😊
Double brushed poly - great short nightgown. Maybe like Simplicity 9219 with no sleeves. I have made this several times and my advice is to go with your upper bust measurement. Can’t wait to see what you come up with,
Hi Carole! I love that pick fabric, I would love to have a shirt made from that fabric, but you might not have enough to match. I have seen some slightly offset the pattern pieces to keep from having to match. I’m probably not explaining that correctly, but maybe you can piece it together. It would make for for an interesting make. That double brushed poly would make a beautiful nightgown, lol. You’re so creative, you’ll figure it out. Can’t wait to see your results.😂 take care
Hi Sue, thanks so much for watching. Great point about the pink fabric, I hadn't thought about needing extra to pattern match and isn't that what they always warn you on every single pattern envelope?! I have now cut out something for the DBP and I am hoping it works, I would hate the first spin to be a fail 😂. 🧵😊
I think one reason you haven't seen these is because many of the colors really aren't in your wheel house. Pun intended. The brown and floral would be cute in a vest. Good luck. I'm organizing my stash a bit at a time. That is feeling good. Have a good day.
Thank you so much and you really have a great point there about colours! I did have my colours done back in the 1980's but I have been fighting it ever since as I got Winter 😂. I still tend to gravitate to colours I like rather than colours I should wear and yes, that means I get stuck on making them up into garments. Well done for sorting out your stash 👏🏼🧵😊
I like your idea about posting wheel of fate makes on Instagram. I will definitely tag you when I do. I have a mountain of fabrics that have to get sewn up!! Are you "so carol " on instagram?
Thank you so much for highlighting that I hadn't told anyone my Instagram handle, I warned you I wasn't good at it!! I have put it into the description box now and it's @so_carole Thanks and can't wait to see what you make 🧵😊
Hi Carole! Wow… I am so impressed with the idea for our very own wheel of fate! I have to get on with doing this. I’m so inspired! ❤ Diann
Hi Carole. I’m looking forward to watching this series. Have fun picking patterns. 😊
OH YAY! THE FABRIC WHEEL OF FATE IS BACK!!! LOVE these videos!!!

I made a double brushed poly roll neck top leading into Christmas and I've been wearing it tons. Good luck with your piece.
Thanks very much Nancy, that is something to think about! 🧵😊
This has been enjoyable before so it is exciting to see you do it again. Best of luck.
Oh thank you so much Ann. I enjoy doing this series so much and always get surprised! 🧵😊

Hi Carole 👋. Why don’t you make a 6650 secret dress? You love the pattern so what could go wrong?

@ I have considered doing it since your first series because it’s such fun. I’ll have a word with Dee and see if she’s up for it too. Kxxx
@ the fun thing would be for each of you to choose each others fabrics 😂
@ ooo that would be fun 😂
I love this series. I already have too many sewing plans so I am not joining in but it’s fun to cheer you on from the sidelines
Thanks so much for your comment and I really appreciate you watching. As long as you are sewing and enjoying it, I am happy with that! Glad you will still follow my challenges! 🧵😊

Thanks so much for watching and that suggestion! 🧵😊
I need to do something like this myself
Oh I really hope you do, it definitely puts some fun into sewing. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Carole, the dbp can be pajama pants and top 😂❤
Thanks so much for the suggestion Stephanie! 🧵😊
Hi Carole! I like that floral fabric -- what did you call it -- needle cord??? This is such a fun series! Happy Sewing!!
Hi Deb, yes that was a really thin needlecord fabric. It is really pretty I just don't know what to make from it at all 😂. Thanks for watching xx
I think one reason you haven't seen these is because many of the colors really aren't in your wheel house. Pun intended. The brown and floral would be cute in a vest. Good luck. I'm organizing my stash a bit at a time. That is feeling good. Have a good day.
