Leopard print trousers are everywhere- and they are all wide legged! I was in next today and they had what looked very similar to the Thea trousers in store. I love leopard- I have some denim on the way for a skirt 😉 great plans!!

You should do the Styla Taos in rainbow colour block somewhat an 80-90's style! The pattern reminds me of the ski coats from the 80's! For your leopard denim, let's face it, the pattern of the fabric is bold, does it matter if the pants are wide? lol You can always take them in if you find they are too much! lol I love seeing your sewing round-ups each month but you could do it weekly if you wanted to add more videos. I'm thrilled with whatever content you provide, have you done anymore knitting lately?

My biggest difficulty is putting outfits together for what I need to wear them for (if that makes the slightest bit of sense!!) so I find it sooo helpful to see how others do it. Firstly, Happy New Year 🎉 secondly you are a big tease, starting a video with Jessie casually draped over your mannequin, I thought ‘she’s finished it’ but then hear you are going to finish it. I hope when you do, you will like it and wear it as it’s been so long in the making. I certainly want to make one, looks so easy to wear! I was pleased to make my nieces a hoodie each for Christmas and they loved them and haven’t taken them off yet so am planning to make them another one each. Both were different patterns and material, chosen by them. It was so rewarding making things for others. I must however then get on and make something for me. I am making a toil of the Hovea jacket as I want to get the fit right before I cut out the material. This year is all about mindful sewing. Making clothes I want to wear, taking my time and adding finishing touches that make them so special. I really like your videos of what you wear in a week. I like seeing how things look in the wild as opposed to plans. :) All your bestie bags sound great! Everyone will love them. I made makeup remover wipes as gifts this year. I found that looking at makeup smears on lighter fabric makes me sad so I'm going to use black terry fabric in the future. LOL. I never put them in the pouch I made, so consider if your daughter is a neater person who would put them away in a pouch before you expend the energy. What about the Megan Nielsen Dawn jeans? So many leg width options in that pattern, if you are leary of too wide of leg! Great instructions for just going for it. ❤

Thanks Angela. I love the variety of videos you do. You could maybe do the 1 week me made once a quarter instead of every month. Might make room for some extra construction. Not full sew alongs but maybe picking some hints and tips that relate to something you’re making anyway. (You may already do that of course and I’ve forgotten!). Just a thought - if you’re making face wipes as a gift it might be nice to make a bag that can be used in the washing machine for washing the wipes. 😊x

Happy New Year! I made little facial wipes for our church bazaar and extra sets for family. I presented them in little mesh laundry bags. They are roughly 5.5 inches wide by 7.5 with a 1.5 inch strip at top which closes with Velcro. Very cute and very practical. Regarding leopard trousers : Unless the fabric is flowier than it looks I think I'd make straight leg trousers of a more medium width.

Also strangely enough I have started making mats for my sewing machine and Overlocker, I just have the bias binding to attach to my sewing machine mat, I’ve done a bit of quilting on it and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. The Jolie Lab Ines trousers are a slim leg pattern which Cara from Sew So Mad first introduced me to. She does have a video on this particular style. I think they would look really classy with that fabric (maybe because I prefer a slim leg). I love all the videos you do; I do like your 1 week Me Made videos also.
I think the denim print is a stretch for you so stick to a silhouette you know you like. You are more likely to wear them if they are familiar in some way. They will look great with a simple black top and loafers or Chelsea boots. A few gold toned bangles and away you go.
The red dress or top that you are wearing looks amazing on you. How about making the Styla Taos collab in red sherpa? Go bright! Becki made her Theas in leopard print and they look great. I enjoy all your vlogs. Please just keep vlogging and being you.

I'm cutting out my first Southbank at the moment, thanks to you and all of your dresses. I might have to copy you in your plans to use the cream/white cable fabric as I have the same one. I'm crossing my fingers that the one I'm cutting out fits and doesn't need alterations! Coincidentally, the pattern you are making for John is the same one I have that I wanted to make my son one out of. Was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but I forgot how much work it is to have the kids home, the coming and going, the baking, the cooking, the cleaning up, etc, etc. So I am very excited to have you do a sew-along. I enjoy all of your videos. I think I like plans and makes the best. It's interesting as you were talking about plans for sewing and life how similar they are to mine. I also want to make bestie bags for me and my 2 daughters. I was also thinking 2 of my sisters might also like them. I have many WIPS to finish and that is definitely a 2025 goal! I love the fleece top you are planning with friends. I bought one made of sheerpa fabric, it was an amazing price. It's so cozy and warm. Somewhere I saw a vlogger was making one with a printed fleece, that would be my choice if I was making one. Wide leg jeans would look awesomenin the leopard print. I bought some puffer fabric to make my puppy Archie a coat but I think instead I want to make myself something like the pogo. Not sure if I have the correct name. I have a similar pattern in my stash. And cleaning and organizing are at the top of the list. A list i actually made and shared with my hubbie. And I was also thinking of quilted mats for under my machines. I saw a free one that folds up to be a cover for the machine. Today I'm finishing up some tiny outfits for the little stuffed cat and mouse I made for the great nieces.

Happy New year Angela lovely to see you back. I enjoy all your videos but I imagine they do all take up quite a lot of your time. Love all your sewing plans and can’t wait to see everything. I am also making bestie bags for my two daughters and my sister and the ladies in my local sewing group all want me to help them make one too 😊. Love the idea of declutter ing - I love to do that in January too.
Thanks Angela. I love the variety of videos you do. You could maybe do the 1 week me made once a quarter instead of every month. Might make room for some extra construction. Not full sew alongs but maybe picking some hints and tips that relate to something you’re making anyway. (You may already do that of course and I’ve forgotten!). Just a thought - if you’re making face wipes as a gift it might be nice to make a bag that can be used in the washing machine for washing the wipes. 😊x

Happy New Year! I made little facial wipes for our church bazaar and extra sets for family. I presented them in little mesh laundry bags. They are roughly 5.5 inches wide by 7.5 with a 1.5 inch strip at top which closes with Velcro. Very cute and very practical.
Regarding leopard trousers : Unless the fabric is flowier than it looks I think I'd make straight leg trousers of a more medium width.

Hi Angela I really enjoyed your vlog today, you have some great plans. I’ve just made my first Nina Lee sweater dress and I love it. Also strangely enough I have started making mats for my sewing machine and Overlocker, I just have the bias binding to attach to my sewing machine mat, I’ve done a bit of quilting on it and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I need to declutter the bedroom I sew in, I’ve been saying it for too long now and this month it’s going to happen. 😂❤

The Jolie Lab Ines trousers are a slim leg pattern which Cara from Sew So Mad first introduced me to. She does have a video on this particular style. I think they would look really classy with that fabric (maybe because I prefer a slim leg). I love all the videos you do; I do like your 1 week Me Made videos also.
I think the denim print is a stretch for you so stick to a silhouette you know you like. You are more likely to wear them if they are familiar in some way. They will look great with a simple black top and loafers or Chelsea boots. A few gold toned bangles and away you go.

I'm cutting out my first Southbank at the moment, thanks to you and all of your dresses. I might have to copy you in your plans to use the cream/white cable fabric as I have the same one. I'm crossing my fingers that the one I'm cutting out fits and doesn't need alterations! Coincidentally, the pattern you are making for John is the same one I have that I wanted to make my son one out of. Was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but I forgot how much work it is to have the kids home, the coming and going, the baking, the cooking, the cleaning up, etc, etc. So I am very excited to have you do a sew-along. I enjoy all of your videos. I think I like plans and makes the best. It's interesting as you were talking about plans for sewing and life how similar they are to mine. I also want to make bestie bags for me and my 2 daughters. I was also thinking 2 of my sisters might also like them. I have many WIPS to finish and that is definitely a 2025 goal! I love the fleece top you are planning with friends. I bought one made of sheerpa fabric, it was an amazing price. It's so cozy and warm. Somewhere I saw a vlogger was making one with a printed fleece, that would be my choice if I was making one. Wide leg jeans would look awesomenin the leopard print. I bought some puffer fabric to make my puppy Archie a coat but I think instead I want to make myself something like the pogo. Not sure if I have the correct name. I have a similar pattern in my stash. And cleaning and organizing are at the top of the list. A list i actually made and shared with my hubbie. And I was also thinking of quilted mats for under my machines. I saw a free one that folds up to be a cover for the machine. Today I'm finishing up some tiny outfits for the little stuffed cat and mouse I made for the great nieces.

I love your vlogs and find a lot of inspiration from your videos. I would love some ideas of making garments with individual high end style trims and embellishments. I am never quite sure how to incorporate these into a pattern. I love contrast trims done in a classy and bespoke way and would love to see a video on how to incorporate these into a bespoke way.
