Your new dress looks fabulous on you, perfect colour. The detail on the hems was definitely worth fuzzy cutting to save. Your up-cycled are all wonderful makes. I particularly love the pj’s you made where you are holding teddy and the shorty pj’s. Xx ❤️❤️🌺
What is gorgeous dress! I agree with your commenters, you would never know it was from a tablecloth! You have so many beautiful pieces made from thrifted fabric we’re going to have to dub you the “Thrifting queen“! ☺️🤗
Beautiful dress and what a great color! Agree with you on the belt being better when it goes all the way around. Good trick using the existing hem on the sleeves as well as the bottom. Nice outfit, perfect for fall!
Looks great - love that burnt orange fabric. You’ve made some amazing upcycled clothes. 👍. You’ve inspired me to try some more of this myself. Thanks for sharing your vlog.
I think the dress is very nice. Even the back, though simple is a nice A-line shape. I like how you use vintage sheets and shower curtains to make clothing. Good way to make use of some nice fabrics that could otherwise be discarded.
I love it Andra, such a fab upcycle. The hem detail is really pretty and i like the belt. Thanks so much for sharing and for taking part in our challenge 😁 xx
Lovely Andra!! I totally love the style and color of the dress. Love the recap of the other up cycles. I like how you cut your front and back in the fold. I’m definitely making this. Tfs.
I love seeing the details of this dress. The hem is so pretty and I loved what you did with the sleeves. I would not know this dress is from that pattern. Looks totally different. Beautiful job. And your slideshow is so inspiring! Makes me want to go thrifting right away!
I like the idea of using a tablecloth to turn in to a piece of clothing, too. I've just been looking for sheets basically when I go thrifting but now I'll be on the look-out for tablecloths, too!! Happy Sewing!!
Hi Andra - Love the dress. It is really a cute style. The seams down the front and back are just style lines. And the dress looked great without them. You are such a clever lady to use the edge of the table cloth as the hem. Added a lovely touch. I really liked seeing all the past upcycle pieces you have made. I laughed when I saw your comment about your hair because I was thinking of saying I liked seeing all the different hair styles over time right before that appeared on the screen.😄 Always fun to see what you have been sewing. I have not done any garment sewing since August. Although I have been working on my cross stitch. I am a big cross stitcher. I am making little ornaments for all the neighbors in our court which will be attached to boxes of cookies for Christmas. A lot of new young families in our court now. I have finished the stitching and now just need to make them into ornaments. So that will be sewing. I have also been working on the finishing of several other pieces that I have stitched. I do the finishing myself which includes lacing the piece onto a board or making them into little pillows. So that is also sewing 😉 Once all that is complete I can focus on my sewing again. Take Care
Thank you so much, Janiece! Your ornaments sound amazing, and, I know the recipients will treasure them! I know they are beautiful! What a wonderful gift! You are so thoughtful! 🧡
That is a lovely Autumnal colour on you Andra. What a great upcycle and I was pleased to see that pattern made up as I have that and not made it yet. It does have my favourite type belt but I would probably tie it up tighter or maybe add fish eye darts in the back. 2 challenges in one project, amazing! ❤xx
Thank you so much, Carole! If I tie it tighter, the back of the dress is too close-fitting for my liking! I prefer one that goes all the way around! Can’t wait to see yours! 😘🧡
Beautiful dress. I have that pattern but not made yet. Great to see it made up. Elastic in back might work to just lightly take up fullness. Love your accessories, too!
Hi Andra, your dress is beautiful! I love the color for fall. That is such a pretty hem detail. I think it looks pretty from the back as well. I was thinking " do I have this pattern?" Lol you've got me wanting one. Great upcycle. I would never have thought that was a tablecloth. You rock! Love the jewelry pairing too btw❤
You've inspired me to look with new eyes the next time I go thrifting. There are only a couple here in Northern Mississippi. I miss the ones in Knoxville.
Yay! I am thrilled I inspired you, Jeanette! Any time I visit a different town or city, I scope out their thrift stores! Keep me updated on what you find! 🧡
Just beautiful! I love that color, it flatters you. I use sheets and tablecloths, duvet covers, old quilts, or whatever else that I can find. It’s getting harder to find quality fabric at the thrift store near me, because more people are getting into up cycling.
That hem is so pretty! Is it a decorative stitch you could do on your own machine? You were smart to get such a big tablecloth - lots of fabric. Your upcycles are always fab. Love you! 😘
it suits you so well! love the necklace and boots that you paired with the outfit. i wonder if they added the CF/CB seams to allow for narrower fabric. it would be a nice feature for colorblocking or stripe play.
I have sloping shoulders and I’m only 5’1. Dolman sleeves look terrible on me. The dress is cute! I’ve never tried sewing something out of a tablecloth or sheet. How do you know where to place the pattern pieces because of the grain?
You certainly overcame all the challenges!! So pretty!! Love the dress! Love you!!
Thank you, Mom! Love you! 🧡
That is a beautiful dress you would never know that the fabric was a tablecloth. Awesome job. 😊
Thank you so much, Elaine! 🧡
Oh my word, love all your upcycled fabric you used! You look fabulous in all the makes!
Thank you so much, Debbie! I love to up cycle! 💗

Pretty dress with the fancy hymn/hem band. Terrific upcycles!

Wow that sleeve change turned out gorgeous! U are so creative. Thanks for posting.
Thank you so much, Biz! I just couldn’t let that pretty hem go to waste! 🧡
Your dress is so nice. I'm glad you were able to use the trim. Linen tablecloths are so nice and that gave you a decent amount of fabric. ❤
Thank you so much, Cynthia! 🧡
Great upcycle. Love the embroidered edge detail on the sleeves! All your other makes are awesome too. 🥰
Thank you so much, Becky! 🧡
Your dress is beautiful. I actually love the ties.

Andra, you are so creative! The dress is fantastic! I've said this before, but you always seem to find the best stuff at thrift stores! 🥰
Thank you so much! One of my fave things to do! 🧡

You have fantastic vision Andra! Queen of unusual fabrics 😊❤
That is a huge compliment, Annette! Thank you so much! 🧡
@@AndraMakes it's true, what you can do with a table cloth and shower curtain, it's like magic Andra.

I have that pattern made it twice already but you've given me new ideas to make it again
Yay! Thank you so much, Genevieve! 🧡
Pretty!!! I guess you could add a couple narrow darts in the back for shaping. But it’s already lovely.
Thank you so much, Cheri! 🧡
Beautiful dress. I have that pattern but not made yet. Great to see it made up. Elastic in back might work to just lightly take up fullness. Love your accessories, too!

The back would be pretty with a "waistband " across the back that would match in width the the front in the sideseams.
Fab design idea, Jane! 💗

Thank you so much, Sue! It is so fun to use “unconventional” “fabric”, isn’t it?! 🧡

Thank you so much! I just guess and don’t overthink it too much! 💗
I, personally, do not look good in self-tie dresses..I am short and like more of an elongated look for short little me.😂
I definitely prefer a belt that isn’t attached! 💗
Your dress turned out great. All your thrifted makes are so cute!🙂
Thank you so much, Lisa! 🧡
