We started it a couple weeks ago for our 2nd grader! We are doing Town Mouse and Country Mouse! It's honestly such a cool curriculum! I love that it turns into a book when you're done.
Just about to throw in the towel on fix-it -Robin Hood. My 8th grader is struggling. We are on week 4 and she was so excited thinking this time I got everything right. Then was totally let down when she had 9 mistakes. I felt so bad! I already have easy grammar 6 and if this doesn’t work. I plan to use that. For reference she was in public school through sixth grade and then did The Good and the Beautiful level 7 for homeschool last year. Thanks for this video we will be giving some of your tips a try before we give up!❤😊
My daughter is in 7th grade and our first year homeschooling. We started with The Nose Tree and we are loving it! We will be doing the next level next year and I am going to add S and S.
I wish I would have known about the cards before I ordered. Im assuming those are just all the things in the appendix section? The only one we are struggling a little with is prepositions, ugh 😅 We are using fix it for the first time and are using robin hood which works perfectly with the era and books we are using for our main spine so was excited that was the level they recommend.
My kid is 9 and I am considering starting fix it grammer - you mentioned concepts are reinforced in structure and style but can you just do fix it grammer first because I don’t know if she’s ready for the weight of structure and style.

How do I purchase the vocabulary cards please? I purchased the wall. Thank you!
On the website there are game ideas to use with the cards.
Oh neat, I didn't know that!

Can you share where I can find the "but, but but grammar" video? I can't seem to find it anywhere!
It's on this page under "my favorite video & audio talks". Paid/affiliate link:

For some reason i cant access your fix it grammar link. Do you have another link
Mandy, how does FIG compare to the Analytical Grammar series by Demme Learning?
I haven’t used that one, so I’m not sure. Sorry!
For kids on grade level, do you suggest getting each kid the level of their grade?
I think with Fix It Grammar, you need to start all kids at level 1 (from my understanding).
@@mandy-maltz that makes it so much simpler since I have 2 kids in different grades (one in 2nd and the other 4th). Thank you!
@@mohhkneekuhh you’re welcome ☺️
Is the structure and style similar to the themed writing lesson?
I have kids doing Abeka grade 5th and 7th. If I wanted to do Fix it Grammar together, which level would you recommend?
I would recommend asking IEW this question. They'd be better for placement than I would.
@@mandy-maltz thanks
In your opinion if I use IEW, fix it grammar and a spelling curriculum would that be considered a full language arts curriculum?
I add in spelling and phonics/reading/literature.
How
How is this curriculum for those who are dyslexic? My daughter is a rising 8th grader who has dyslexia.
You’d need to ask IEW that question :)
I really wanted to give this a try. Link doesn’t work.
