Not all heroes where capes
As someone who got a H1 in maths in the leaving cert, it really is just about practice. I can honestly say I don't understand maths much, but the leaving cert doesn't test your intelligence, simply your ability to rote learn. The problem with higher level maths is just the sheer amount of topics you have to cover, and generally (definitely from my experience) your teacher will have to rush to get through everything. I definitely spent much more time on math than I did other subjects, however it was worth it in the end. Just keep a positive attitude! Another thing is if you struggle to learn a topic with the method your teacher is using, simply google another way to do it. As long as it is mathematically correct you will get the marks (unless of course you are told to use a specific rule/law). Goodluck to anyone doing their leaving this year!
Damn that's a serious achievement.this is pretty great advice. I'd be happy with a H5 in maths so this was useful
Honestly this helped just had a test that really kicked my butt and I needed this positivity
@@kyesyn448 Congrats for getting through it! I wish you the best
I wanna study maths now thank u
* ੈ✩‧₊˚steps
1 learn proofs, constructions, theorums, etc off by heart you don't need to understand them, just to know them
2 strengthen your algebra- its the core of everything.
3 treat the examiner like a child. Don't skip any steps, leave your workings etc
4 don't tipex your answers, put a line through so the examiner can see. You might get marks for strange things
5 use online resources. Khan academy and such
6 close your log book after using it. It gets you familiar with it
7 study with someone. Maths is practical, you need to understand and if you're doing it with someone you teach eachother and find answers together, and end up learning a lot
8 stop being negative about maths! if you're happy and open to learn, by being positive you can learn easier because you pay attention more etc. Having a different attitude and finding fun in learning helps!
ੈ✩‧₊˚other tips
Find your problem areas by making note of any questions you find difficult, redo and redo it to learn it. Even if you redo it correctly go over it again in a few weeks/months/whatever works to really get it in!!
Thank you
I'll be honest, all those points are great but the first, really you should try to understand all them, you won't remember them unless you understand them
Really great grades 👏
Bonne chance😇😇
i love you
she did get a H1 😭😭❤️❤️❤️ congrats 💞💞💞
The attitude thing is actually so true. Need to change it asap
Exactly if u keep telling yourself you're bad at something, you WILL be bad at it. But if u tell yourself u are good at maths, you like maths, maths if fun, your brain will be more likely to pay attention and grab what is being taught!!
This is 4 every1 who is bad at maths:
Your not bad in maths only tht u lack practice
"treat the examiner as a child" As a future preschool teacher I should. Especially when I'm failing maths, lmao.
OK HER VIDEOS ARE LITERALLY MY BIBLE FOR REVISION TY
Did my LC last year and tbh maths is just a lot of practice and improving slowly :) Get your hands on all those sample papers! I would also divide the topics up on a mindmap and be ticking or highlighting as you revise through the year. You’ll also see the overlap of topics like sequences and financial maths.
How many points did you get? I'm in LC rn😭
You don't know how much i have been waiting from this video !!!
I swear I can't stop staring in your eyes they are so sparkly it is so nice to see someone talking about their favourite subject with such passion
You literally uploaded this on the day I’m feeling the most low. I just had my Christmas test and I studied and everything and when it came to writing I frozen up. I really enjoy math but I hate not getting the results I know I can get, HL math will be the end of me 😂
Had Christmas exams too, I'm usually good at maths but this time I failed lol
studied 2 weeks for maths and still failed. I know how you feel
@Ruhnk I got 39 in French and I'm literally so mad, I studied for it the most and nothing paid off. I was literally expecting 85 percent or something
just love how she motivates.
i love studying maths , but sometimes it burns me out so bad and I have been watching this video since the day it was uploaded, I watch this and every time I watch it I find a new tip idk how that happens but yes it happens and I am thankful that you uploaded such a great video..
.
.xo
Thank you so much for the tips! You inspire me so much, that I actually feel I like maths even more than I did before lol
I wish you the best for your Leaving Cert :)
I literally didn’t need any advice (I know how to deal with math and I enjoy it🤓) but I still watched the vid to support you ♥️
MORE LOVE ANNA
KEEP GOING 🌸
All yr vid's almost help me
With good things 4 U 🙏🏻💕
hey!! jus letting u know that as of last year we can't do the LC maths exam in pencil bc the exam is scanned by a computer and it won't pick up the pencil!! I recommend erasable pens like the frixion ones
Oh I didn’t know that!! Thank u so much for letting us know 💕💕
yeah you´re right for most of people its easier to say that maths are complicated but in reality you just have to practise a lot and know your basics as you said and for sure be prepared to come up with a solution when they ask you something challenging
i litreally love you🥺
Dude this was so helpful thank you ♡
i love ur videos gurl 🎓💕
happy birthday!
Thanks for this video , you really helped me .
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I LUV YOUUUUUU🌚🖤🖤🖤🖤
I'm in 5th year right now and I did really badly in the Christmas exams and my excuse at the time was "I have no motivation whatsoever", however, I had this sort of "epiphany" if you will, where I decided, hey this is only gonna be another year and half before I do what ever it is I want and I know I may be not the best but your videos really make me feel like I can do so much better, thank you :)
Please do a video on how you study physics!💛💛
Absolutely freaking out because I’m wearing that hoodie right now, honestly if you were any other girl I’d be low key sad or embarrassed but right now I feel honored
Luv it!🥰
Former 6th year here, I failed ordinary maths haha, but your video is actually sound advice and very well formatted. You tackle the main points of getting good grades in the subject. Thank you for this! I’m sure Leaving Cert students who see this will find great use out of it. Some subjects aren’t for everyone after all! Good luck this year hun ❤️
If you fail a cumpolsory subject, are you forced to repeat the LC exam?
This one was one of the best tips for maths
Im trying to apply to the same school your no1 choice is and your tips are helpful as hell. I am Latvian myself but my J.C results last year were awful (no A's but no D's (except Art, but thats an easy A)) and maths has been my weakest subject until now. I finally understand so much more concepts but your videos are quite useful and I could see myself using your guides and ideas as guides for myself. Im in 5th year rn but I will be trying quite hard. Thanks for doing these videos
Thanks for making this video. I'm sure many people will benefit from it :) I'm probably going to drop to ordinary level anyway because I could never grasp maths.
We need more of these! ❤️ Love you Anna :)
i'm currently trying to get better at maths since getting a grade i was very unsatisfied with so this video was perfect! tysm
How beautifully made one of the hardest subjects as one of the easiest subjects to deal with. But still I hate maths.
that was really helpful thank you
Tip 8 is actually me but about physics , I really love it even its hard , also i don't have problem with math i found it easy but thank you ❤❤
This is actually well educated advise tbf
your video always motivated me to study
Omg I’m the exact same haha! I love studying maths so much that I’d procrastinate studying other subjects just to study maths for the Junior Cert
Your eyes are so pretty
My country have almost the same educational system as yours and I feel soo motivated when I watch your videos I studied 6 and a half hours today thanks to you and I always watch your videos before I start studying
Damn that's a lot of study. Maybe to be it down a but so you don't wear yourself out
Thankyou sm!! Xx
Thanks for this video
I was waiting anxiously
Great video 👍🏼
Hello from Korea!!🇰🇷 I'm a new subscriber👋 I think you're good at math👍
This was great 😁
step 1: be good at maths
Please do make a video for PHYSICS too....I guess many people like me are also struggling with physics
You should try make a video for this in English and biology
Grades are important, but you are so much more. Please do not let your results be a gauge of your self-worth, because they are not. Use this awful system and experience of the leaving cert to your best advantage, because once you go to college or get a job, no one will mention your results again. Personally, I had a mental breakdown after the exams ended. I'm sure they had much worse effects on others. Please do not let these pieces of paper bring you down, don't let them ruin your health. It's not worth it. Remember to breathe and drink plenty of water, the leaving cert is not forever and you will make it through.
I just got a maths ad and had to work out a problem because of this. WHAY?! Anyway, I'm in ordinary but have absolutely no idea what I'm doing so this is a good start, I guess? Thanks!
I just want to educate and study mathematics!💙
thnx a lot !!!!!
thank you
Yess girl i need this right now😘
Normally when I am doing maths, I would do the sum and find the answer and then cry after it
MashAllah. Now you are getting on 400+ subscribers each day which is remarkable achievement. It is one of those times when your channel need constant uploads because youtube has picked up your channel. Just like you made a video "1 week before exam" and it got nearly 200k views because it was an exam season. In spite of that you can also make videos like "how to make your time useful after exams or vacations". Your content is more valuable than any other viral content because it has research and method to it. It is most likely that sponsors + advertisers will contact you, so be prepared and always put best value of your work in front of them. Hope you get alot of success in future.
ооо так ты русская, первое твоё видео , которое я посмотрела,но мне прям зашло, спасибо тебе!
Me das ganas de estudiar :))))
Podes hacer como que un video de como seguir siendo productivo en las vaciones?
Helpful
How do you study for applied math? I'm really struggling😭😭😭
haytch ones ahhaha ur english is so cute
I am from Latvia!! And I know your nationality is Latvian. (Im fluent in Latvian)
Nice video
Would this work for how to get a F1
I HAVE A MATHS TEST ON MONDAY
How often do you study maths?
Could you please do the same thing for physics starting to loose in test but want to prove I can do it
Studyclix my man. It's is a godsend for physics. And loud of exam questions they help too
In time🍃
Hey Can you do a video on "How to get A+ in Coding Subjects"... Pleaseeeeeeeeeee
Notification gang??
I Love maths took❤️
which lamp do you use
Yess
Thank for commenting
where did you get your jacket?
Lots of luv from india😍
I feel like RUclips just supplied me with a personalized youtuber...
Also teaching herself Korean.
Is a fellow army
And simultaneously studying for the leaving cert.💜💜💜💜
How do you compare your maths pre to the actual leaving cert like I got a H4 in the mocks but still want a H1/H2. Is that unrealistic? Also thanks for making this video, so helpful!
did you get a H1/h2?
@@justtyna2215 got 88%
@@Madhatter-op3pv was it rlly difficult to improve your grade?? my maths grades are all over the place like sometimes id get h2s, h3s then suddenly h4s and h5s
How do you study Irish?
Y'all also there's two main maths mocks companies but generally DEB is harder so if u practice their papers from the past you'll *probably* find the exam SEC will make easier? Ps. RUclips has videos on the 2019 solutions as well if u can't get ur hands on the latest ones. ALSO graphs pls pls pls graphs can come up in practically any topic you could cover so yah. Ugh sorry last one but know your logs book in and out or how many variations of formulae u could use for eg area of a triangle and know when to use em
Also, variation is important. Go for the easy then harder topics kinda pattern so u don't get bored or too burnt out of the questions u do
7:50 my book looks like a chinese ancient scrpipt my only source of theoreum explaing is an old dude on yt (im not from an anglophone country so khan academy cant work that well cause i have to bridge the language barrier with the teriminology)
I've tried to change my attitude towards math but its hard. My brain keeps asking these questions like " When am I ever gonna use this again?"
I love Study
What app does she use to write on iPad
This was very useful. It's nice to see someone so passionate for their favourite subject. Didn't they say you have to do the exam in blue or black pen though so you can't write in pencil
History is better though
Se que hablas español me podrías recomendar páginas o tips para aprender ruso saludos
This should help my revision 😂
Currently my maths teacher said on the 1st day " Don't expect us to finish by the mocks, if some maths teacher tells you this they are lying. We will only finish the course 2 weeks before the leaving cert and that's best case scenario " this was after a good morning on a Monday. Everyone is in turbo mode in class but by the time we get home we have questions that we kinda half forgot. 5th year would be better if I skipped Transition year tbh
I need this XD
Mate already I get good marks in maths.. proofs, construction and theorums are mandatory
study with other people, man, imagine having friends not complaining/hating maths
Relatable😂
Ugh all my friends complain about every subject and never study so I guess in going alone
it’s the day before… 😬
YUP DCC
i found this video really really good however i did fail ordinary level maths with 24% before i watched this video i was getting 80%
Calculate this integral Sqrt(e^x-1)
I literally can’t even see the numbers, they are a blur and I regularly take notes down wrong and learn things incorrectly because I saw the numbers wrong on the board. It’s so frustrating because I’m getting H1’s and H2’s in every other subject but I can’t get over 60% in maths no matter how much I study
check if you have dyslexia (theres one for numbers?)
also love your name and profile picture
Pls do study with me ❤️❤️👍🏼
Trying to figure out what ends her accent is from 🤔
Thanks for this!
I'm fully convinced her accent isn't 100% Irish. I dunno, but she pronounces MATHS, as MOTH (Without the "s" at the end and that's really not an Irish thing.)
@@DestineChinae she pronounces it as 'matts' not 'moth' like you are saying.
