- I attended the Wellingborough Town Council meeting on 30th April 2024, where new planning applications are to be discussed and advisories sent to W.T.C's governing body North Northamptonshire Council. The main reason for me being at the meeting was to get information on the three discharge Planning Applications put in by the developer that's looking at felling our historical lime tree avenue. Little did I know that I was in store for more information than that was expected. Residents of Hillside Road have already opposed a plan to develop an area near Ladywell Allotments, The Hemmingwell Church may be set for a new design. Something awesome to which I'd rather stay quiet because there are some people in our town that don't want better amenities for one and another. 😢. Oh and doom loams over our old post office building on Midland Road as a developer puts a proposal in front of the council.

Hi purple from Dan
will the shopping centre(Swansgate) be modernized as it looks dated
Altering the post office is a very worrying. I used to work at James brothers grocery store just up from the post office. I think it's now a gambling place in the old James brothers store are tunnels that lead to various places in wellingborough. If the tunnels go into the post office where the tunnels be able to hold up the flats. Because I do believe some of them have been bricked up. Don't quote me on this. It's just what I remember from 50 plus years ago. Hope we don't pull down the post office.
What happened to the hospital
