I love this movie. Me and my brother saw it the day after it released in theaters and me being young didn’t know what it was supposed to be about. But I remember crossing my legs because I had to pee so bad but I didn’t want to miss a minute of it
As a medical professional, I can say that most people, before death, fearing death or even in a lot of pain, are quite religious. Atheism requires comfort.
Really cool deep dive of the trilogy Thomas , I'm also called Thomas (Tommaso in Italian) and the original movie Is one of my favorites..that's a lot of coincidences 🤣 ! I discovered your channel thanks to this video and I'm very interested to view your short film , I'm a filmmaker too😁👍🏻. Maybe at the end of the year the fourth film , which Is a direct sequel to the original and directed by Babak Anvari, will come out so can't wait to see your future analysis 😉✌🏻.
14:37 I disagree on that as I can’t leave this realm and go to a place where I aren’t disabled and in pain almost all the time so as for as I’m concerned if there is alternate reality’s were everything is true they may as well not exist, the only reality that matters is the one that this me lives in and the choices I make, the description some other version of me makes in their world have no bearing on me and how I see the world or move though it.
I would say a normal person would stop filming during an emergency and concentrate on surviving. However, look at all the people stopping to film with their phones during dangerous situations in real life.
I really liked "Cloverfield Lane", I have a soft spot for lockedroom dramas and this was a good one, perfectly cast, perfectly paced....lol I gotta build me a bunker😂😂
The genius of the Cloverfield movies is that they mash up colossal monsters and tiny human moments, reminding us that when the world goes to hell, we all just shrink. It’s like, yeah, sure, there’s a skyscraper-sized creature out there, but the real terror is in realizing how insignificant we are. Plus, the whole setup, where we’re left scrambling for scraps of info while some bigwig knows the full story, feels uncomfortably close to real life. It’s like the movies are whispering, hey, welcome to the horror of modern existence: you’re always in the dark, and someone else is holding the flashlight. 👽✌
So, your take on the meaning of the "Cloverfield" franchise is that it's a warning to us about the risks of pushing the boundaries of the scientific possibilities!? If so, it truly is thought-provoking; I wonder if the makers of this franchise made the films with that intent!
As a Christian who is a fan of horror movies, I love your channel! Would be great if you can somehow not just raise these good questions, but weave the gospel in and show how Jesus provides real hope and salvation through his death and resurrection. God be with you!
Hey brother, thanks so much for your comment! That's really helpful. I could definitely be more explicit about the lens through which I'm viewing these movies. You might appreciate this little conversation I had with a Christian friend about horror: ruclips.net/video/Q4ZZWA342cg/видео.html
