For her last question, she actually honored her statement. I'm obsessed with her concert recordings, and she even reads a love letter her grandparents wrote during the war. And she does sing a lot of 40s music, it's so beautiful. Love how dedicated and loving she was in honoring her grandparents.
Phantom is not actually an opera. It's a Musical Theatre piece that happens to take place inside of an opera house. A real opera for example would be Madame Butterfly.
Especially since Sierra said she wants to play Lucy in "Jekyll & Hyde", I think her and Ramin should work together again with Ramin playing Jekyll/Hyde. Another revival, I think so!

Sierra is an incredible singer but she was never trained in opera. Here are some real opera singers. Renee Fleming, Natalie Dessay, Anna Netrebko and Sumi Jo. If you listen to them sing and compare to Sierra. You can hear how different their vocal technique is.

Actually it's a common mistake when people think that Sarah Brightman sings opera. She sings classical cross-over. Which is still remarkable but it's not real technical opera.
Well, Sarah has actually performed in full operas on the theatrical stage, no microphone, at numerous venues. She, by technicality, an opera singer. She does call herself a classical-crossover singer, but she when in operatic & classical performances she considers herself an opera singer.

(Kristin Chenoweth & Kelli O'Hara did) She has a Bachelor degree in Musical Theatre. However you can't deny she's a versitle singer. :)
Big News! If you live in New York or taking a trip there in Mid til late January. You are in for a real treat. Sierra is going to repise the role of Christine on Broadway! She'll be there performing for a limited engagment she can participate in the show's 25th Anniversary. :)
Sierra is going to returning to the West End for a limited engagement in Les Miserables once again. This time she will be playing FANTINE!!! Afterwards, she comes back to Broadway in the new musical revue Prince of Broadway, which pays tribute to Harold Prince!
I swear shes me in a few years. ha I ice skated for 10 years and love broadway! Plus she answered the questions the same way i would, like to play lucy! I would love that! but thats awesome!

We all did a huge array of songs (I specifically remember doing Finian's Rainbow, Carrie, and some Sondheim -- another cast member alternated between Broadway and classic rock) and some even imitated voices. And sometimes if a song was well-liked, we'd all finish singing it in the dressing room. It's all about getting your energy up. Legit warm-ups come a bit later before places. :)

Even though she had lessons for the play Master Class, she isn't a trained opera singer. Plus she's ver bright, humble, funny, down-to-earth, appriciates her fans & life. I think she's a great role model for girls to look up to. :)

I did 5 shows over one weekend and did two choir concerts later that week, and died. I forever will worship these people who do 8 shows a week.
