Impressive but the cab is a American Lafrance and the back end was definitely a Walk in Rescue
Its not an ambulance body! It was a rescue truck
resqjason2 correct!!
Not a semi either it’s a tiller
@@farmertyler8087 a tiller would've had a really short frame. A quint or a ladder truck makes more sense from the frame size.
great video - always cool to see a farmer's ability to spot a good deal and make it work for what they need - 0:25 say it with me now, wa,pack,ah
Love it, lights sirens and all and he said he paid 500 for it good on you!!!
Love to see people doing things right
Impressive marrying of two apparatus together. That was not a Semi in a traditional sense though. That was either an Engine or Quint that they put a walk in Rescue body on. It is not an ambulance body either.
It was probably a tiller
He did say it pulled a 100ft ladder before
We have agencies in Texas with 106 foot ladders on a Quint.
@@TallTexasGMan Not on a short wheelbase single axle chassis.
it was the tractor on a tiller
I try to watch your videos and shows on the rfd channel but you should really try to show what you're talking about. Every video the camera is on you almost the whole time. We get it, you like to see yourself on the screen.
That is a pretty impressive farm service truck and you can't argue with the price
And the cab wasnt a regular semi truck. It was a tiller truck that was purpose built for the fire dept.
resqjason2 that makes way more sense being a tiller tractor. i was trying to figure out how they extended the frame but yet it was a ladder truck.
Ould also been a mini quint ive seen a few where the. Chasis are small
Incredible
When I saw Wisconsin and an emergency vehicle mashup, I had to wonder if a certain group in Appleton was involved.......anybody else catch the "Refurbished by Pierce" sign inside the Rescue body???
Good chassis! Would of been nice to see the inside view,
Typically fire trucks are very low geared, with low top speeds. Not sure about his, but should be kept in mind for any kind of long trip applications.
Great job.
Another great one Dave!!
That's cool but he really needs to take those EMS and rescue stickers off of it. Speaking as a firefighter myself. Don't want the public thinking that he's an emergency vehicle.
Firefighters are queer
@@HarryHov STFU troll.
Interesting but smart with diesel generator hook up truck fuel tank. Our farm doesn’t have big service truck but mid size truck with flat tray with toolbox, air compressor fitted.
Nice outfit!!!
I've got my service truck set up so everything runs off the truck batteries too... But my welder/generator is gas😥. It's got a jumper plug on it, so if I have to take it off, I can plug the jumper cables to it if I need to start it... All the extras are on their own disconnect switch, so there is no chance of a battery draw, except while in use..
Love the water truck too!!
It's a nice truck the problem with it is as that used American LaFrance cap in the France has gone out of business so getting into your parts may be a very big challenge for him disc brakes for standard on these trucks
It’s a rescue body and a tractor not a semi and he needs to repaint to make the colors match
Dam cool
That’s one of the coolest and useful truck I’ve seen in a while. How does someone find a truck or pieces of a truck like that? Thanks again
Where I'm at one can have lights sirens all over your car, BUT unless you belong to a dept and have a State Fire Marshals sicker you better not light your vehicle up. You will draw undue attention to yourself because sticker is usually applied near yearly inspection sticker.
You said the name of the city wrong. It's Wa-Pack-A
Who cares.
@@смиренный-х2б Obviously I do, if you're a host pronouncing a city name right is key.
Good video
Ok this awesome but I would like to know where he got that fire truck for $500 I have been trying to find something kinda like that to haul my antique tractors
Fire hall flea market on Facebook, firefighters and departments selling anything from tools, gear, lights, regular vehicles, fire trucks, rescues and ambos
okay but why is he still running emergency lighting?
Daniel why not😂 it’s cool
Chill with the my God he is Lord of all
NOT A SEMI TRUCK, IT'S A FIRE TRUCK PLATFORM
Well it originally tow a hook and ladder semi trailer, so it was a semi truck.
@@markfryer9880 Not really. Tiller trucks are permanently attached, so it's not a SEMI truck.
STOP CALLING IT A SEMI. ITS A TILLER. STOP CALLING IT AN AMBULANCE ITS A RESCUE
A tiller is a tractor trailer style ladder truck with the rearmost axle controled with a steering wheel. The ladder truck repurposed in this video is not a tiller but a truck with a single solid frame with no swiveling or "trailer" piece. Not a tiller.
John Reitmeyer its the tractor unit from a tiller. Thats why they lengthened the frame. Otherwise it would have a really short back end.
@@corey97140 Right i understand that but what makes a tiller a tiller is the trailer portion attached. With the extened frame its just like any other aerial truck with a rescue box instead of a ladder mounted.
John Reitmeyer what makes a tiller a tiller is it being a tiller. Both either of the parts in particular. A banana without the peal is still a banana.
omg someone should have done research on the truck. LaFrance tiller cab an chassis. an a Rescue body. NOT AN AMBULANCE BODY AN NOT A SEMI TRUCK .LOL
The emergency lights and insignia should be removed.
