Dr. Isa Blumi is Docent/Associate Professor of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies at Stockholm University within the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.
He has taught and researched at universities located in Germany, Belgium, Turkey, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and Albania/Kosovo.
He has authored and co-authored numerous books, including "Destroying Yemen: What Chaos in Arabia Tells Us about the World" (2018). #Yemen

I have spent around 200 days stranded in Yemen waters on my ship, and I had no idea things were so complicated there!
Neither Captain, nor any other senior could explain why we could not discharge our cargo (Diesel) in time. We knew from the news that the country was suffering from shortage of food. So it is shocking to know that Yemen had rich soil for agriculture!
India is not the only nation screwed up by Western world. Yemen has been unable to recover from that so far, and based on the limited news we get, can never recover from such political powerplay. I feel sad for that place!
Amazing Fact - Majority of the inscriptions inside hoq cave in (beautiful and mysterious) socotra island (south yemen) are written in brahmi script.The name socotra is "believed" to have been driven from the greek word dioskorida which appears to be a contraction of sanskrit word द्विप सुखदरः।

What a waste! The guest assumes that everyone knows the Yemen basics. Most people don't can't even point it out on the map. Had so much hope from this but utterly disappointed. Won't be surprised if people stop listening a few minutes in.
A disappointing episode! The guest went on long rants, making it difficult to digest the information. It would have been much better if this had been broken down issue by issue in a chronological order. Extremely incoherent episode! Clearly downvoted!
