@@apoorvchauhan6258 Jet propulsion drones are still years (if not decade) ahead. We are still working on data link verification of the turbo fan propulsion MALE drones. We still do not have armed drones. Work is being done slower than some govt offices. Also, repurposing engine developed for fighter plane for drones because it was a FAILED project is not a good way of development. We Indians will proudly call it JUGAAD, but in actual it is laughable. Even peons in private office get more work done in a day than "scientists" of DRDO in years.
@@apoorvchauhan6258 I guess I will have to challenge all your points one by one: 1) TD for Ghatak UCAV have already taken its first flight -- GHATAK scaled down model flight has taken place an year ago. It will take 2+ years to create 1:1 and production will take 5 years. This is as per the conservative estimation of DRDO itself. 2) India recently demonstrated over the horizon capability for MALE drone (controlled by SATCOM). Ops included switching control from Land Based CS to Naval Vessel. - Yes that is what I mentioned in my comment. Data link verification is the basic feature of drones along with flight capability. MALE drone is delayed project and will take few more years for all features to be tested. Turkey has a viable drone project with less money and time because their scientists are motivated and project management is to the point. 3) We have indigenous Loitering Munition and Swarm Drones (demonstrated back in 2021) - Indigenous Loitering Munition is not a big project. A kid can attach hobby drone with explosives and drop it. Ukraine is doing it with cheap Chinese drones. Swarm drone is a great project and it is working at great pace. Both these projects are done by private companies though NOT DRDO. So get your facts right. 4) Kaveri is not repurposed🤡 rather downscaled with similar dry/wet thrust performance to fit our UCAV requirements. - KAVERI engine is a FAILED project. Even DRDO accepts it. Thrust output is way below the target. It was decided to use Kaveri engine for jet propulsion drones only recently. So it is at conception stage. Remember the scaled down GHATAK drone is not using Kaveri engine. 5)it's not jugaad rather versatility of our Engine. - Boasting about a failed project as if it was the objective is sublimely MORONIC. Accept that it was failed project, learn from mistakes and move on to the next project. Wasting 20+ years on a single project is nothing but idiotic. Only govt org can afford such morons. 6)I guess i hit the nerve by calling your friend Peon whose sole purpose of existence is syphoning kickbacks while DRDO scientists have developed ICBMs, AAMs, LCA, MBT, SAMs and what not. - Yes you did. You degraded the job of peons by mocking it. Your classist, elitist, racist attitude dripped in your comment. It showed me that you are north-Indian typical son who was coddled every day in his life and hardly worked for anything. Everything was given to you by your parents. Regarding my friend, he is working for a reputable company in US making them cutting edge tech with his 2 Masters degree! Morons like you make India develop slower than a snail running track.

Oh man, just last night I was thinking “wouldn’t it be great if the two Abhijits come together in a podcast!” I’m not lying. So much has happened on the geopolitical and security fronts recently and I haven’t found more neutral and outspoken experts as these two.
After listening to AIM going into depression (kidding 😂) because we are so corrupt & lazy that these reforms will never happen. Our diversity becomes our curse. Great conversation 👏
I am extremely impressed by Abhijit Mitra’s planning skills. Why is the government not listening to him? He is extremely knowledgeable and everything makes sense. I strongly agree with his views. What a knowledgeable man!
I get depression every time I hear about types of Indian Aircraft Fleet, It's not actually 6 types but far more, Airforce:- • Mig-21 • Su-30mki • HAL Tejas (MK1 & MK1A) • Mirage 2000 • Jaguar • Mig-29 • Rafale × Upcoming Airforce Aircrafts • Tejas MK2 • AMCA • ORCA (Maybe) Navy:- • Mig-29 × Upcoming Naval Aircrafts • TEDBF • Naval Tejas (Maybe) • Naval AMCA (Maybe) It's actually 7 different types of aircrafts currently in operations, which might go upto 13 different types of Aircraft, That's literally suicidal...🤯🤯🤯
What's more depressing is that we haven't done anything tangible about ORCA, AMCA, TEDBF. Airforce is in a hurry to retire MiG-21s and reduce the squadron strength even more. Heck they even retired the MiG-27s and MiG-23s when they could've been upgraded and maintained the squadron strength until suitable replacements came. Something is better than nothing. An old plane is still better than having no plane. Purani chaddi ko phekne se pehle, nayi chaddi toh khareed lete....
Future aircrafts will replace existing aircrafts, tejas mk2 will replace mirage, jaguar and mig 29 , and amca will replace su30mki and tedbf will replace naval mig29 and tejas mk1a is for point defence, read well about Indian defence before you follow such stupid analist
Same with the firearms in the Army. You have Western guns which use NATO standard 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm and then you have the Russian/Eastern European guns that use 7.62X39mm and 7.62x54mm. Man I genuinely hope that we don't have a war real soon otherwise we're gonna have a logistical nightmare. This kind of thing was prevalent in every country back during the World War era and we haven't learned anything from it. And let's not forget that we import a lot of our ammunition because our domestic factories and reserves are completely off the mark.

We saw what happened in Israel against Netanyahu. I hope GOI will be well prepared this time for any so-called protests. Expecting more such conversations!

This is by far one of the best interviews if AIM. The questions are more mature when the host is a SME as well. My father and I have started a podcast called TechnocratTalks which resonates with several points AIM makes. -- GHATAK scaled down model flight has taken place an year ago.
3) We have indigenous Loitering Munition and Swarm Drones (demonstrated back in 2021)
- Indigenous Loitering Munition is not a big project.
Mr Iyer I hope your video reaches the people who have the ability to rectify the ills you have pointed out
You are the chanakya of our times May you get a chandergupta if luck favours our nation
Abhijit Iyer should be made as an external advisor on foreign policy and economics. His knowledge is fantastic and outstanding and I'm a great fan of his work @narendramodi should consider him. Also I would like to thank @Abhijit chavda sir who is great himself and is helping the Indian youth and society by enlightening them on geopolitics. Keep up the good work Sir❤.
Two best Abhijeet’s on same set 😅
Abhijit sir dropping bombs upon bombs on the podcast community. Massive respect to you for doing this.
I always had a question in my mind, why is Bihar so poor it once used to be the mighty Mauryan empire, this podcast answered the question. The amount of knowledge I gained from this podcast is incredible. thank you both Abhijit's.

It blew my mind that the podcast was beyond expectations. And specially the last 10 min was and being from Bihar it's always great to see.
Oh man, just last night I was thinking “wouldn’t it be great if the two Abhijits come together in a podcast!” I’m not lying. So much has happened on the geopolitical and security fronts recently and I haven’t found more neutral and outspoken experts as these two.
Abhijit Iyer Mitra showing levels of his defence knowledge 😯🔥
After listening to AIM going into depression (kidding 😂) because we are so corrupt & lazy that these reforms will never happen. Our diversity becomes our curse. Great conversation 👏
We could have made our diversity into our strength but we ourselves made it curse
@@rohansarma6346We couldn't diversity is B'S and a curse on itself.

I am extremely impressed by Abhijit Mitra’s planning skills. Why is the government not listening to him? He is extremely knowledgeable and everything makes sense. I strongly agree with his views. What a knowledgeable man!
I get depression every time I hear about types of Indian Aircraft Fleet,
It's not actually 6 types but far more,
Airforce:-
• Mig-21
• Su-30mki
• HAL Tejas (MK1 & MK1A)
• Mirage 2000
• Jaguar
• Mig-29
• Rafale
× Upcoming Airforce Aircrafts
• Tejas MK2
• AMCA
• ORCA (Maybe)
Navy:-
• Mig-29
× Upcoming Naval Aircrafts
• TEDBF
• Naval Tejas (Maybe)
• Naval AMCA (Maybe)
It's actually 7 different types of aircrafts currently in operations, which might go upto 13 different types of Aircraft,
That's literally suicidal...🤯🤯🤯

Thank you Abhijit for bringing Abhijit.
I learnt so much from this conversation between Abhijit sir and Abhijit sir! I just completed watching the entire conversation. Learning a lot from these conversations! I heard that Indian Government is now also talking to influencers and taking feedbacks and suggestions from them. I hope they watch this conversation. I remember Sanjeev Sanyal mentioning about Judicial reforms post 2024 on BeerBiceps. I hope they will be able to deal with foreign interference (protests) whenever it's implemented. We saw what happened in Israel against Netanyahu. I hope GOI will be well prepared this time for any so-called protests.
Expecting more such conversations!

I really, really enjoyed watching my two favorite Abhijit's together, face to face. I've been wanting to see this meeting of two brilliant minds since last year. Please keep these going. BTW the sound, lighting, camera, and editing are top notch. Well done 👍🏼
This is by far one of the best interviews if AIM. The questions are more mature when the host is a SME as well.
My father and I have started a podcast called TechnocratTalks which resonates with several points AIM makes. We have dwelled upon the subject of "respect for Technocrats in India", "management overheads" and "problems with Indian education system and Policy" extensively. Its a very new podcast. We hope to cover these topics in depth.
I bow down to the prowess of Abhijit Mitra. I first noticed him on another podcast but was not aware of his depth. This podcast has made me his loyal follower. This pair of “ABHIJTS” are toxically enriching source of geo- political and strategic literature. These people are exactly the gems we need in our think tanks and policy advisor pool.
This is till date the most compelling and insightful discussion on the war.....and Abhijit has brought the best out of the other Abhijit ! one of the very best podcast available.

Chavda ji , Tussi great ho ❤
mitra is the stup!dest person i hv come accross in recent times in geo politics, none of his analysis forget forecasts are accurate
It's Abhijit Chavda & Abhijit Iyer
Mitra is a defence expert but I don't think he is good at geopolitics he will speak about them but on a long run his predictions are more often wrong than true because I feel he lacks understanding nuances of geopolitics situation like he says American weapons are great so we need to go for them. But he fails to understand the fact that American weapons always comes with caviet and at huge prices. Weather these caviets are detrimental for your security or not.
@sakalasiva if you listen to him carefully, he is not telling to buy everything blindly.. he is telling stratagize everything.. As he said , indian military has 6 different types of weapon suppliers with very less compatibility with one another.. so more you mix , more problematic it becomes
@@sakalasivawe have to acknowledge that west has superior technology.. that is what they leverage..
