Of course you know your spoiled rotten over there in the sierras heck every piece I saw in those pans was a picker where I prospect😳… that fine stuff you total up at the end of the year is what I’m used to. If I ever get out that way I’m stowing away in the back of your jeep 😂😂 your prospecting skills are off the hook. I’m pretty sure you were a piece of gold in a former life and remember how you traveled downstream,( Jeff was a lead nail apparently…😳 jk Jeff lol) how else would you know where all the gold is all the time??? Not a bad day at all with 2+ grams. We chose to go metal detecting for gold in the Mojave last weekend over going to the Sierras as the cold water and cold mornings and evenings have us looking for warmer spots until late spring.

Thank you for teaching responsibility of tying to leave no trace of placer mining. If everybody on the West Coast would have placer mined as you suggested there would not be the drastic shutting down of placer mining on the West Coast. Your a good man that deserves to learn how to dowse for gold and maybe next year my partner and I can meet up with you for personally seeing how dowsing for gold. We would enjoy making a few of our RUclips videos (channel will be up and going very soon), and have fun panning together.

Well you got four and a half times more than I normally get in one year. In one day. But I typically only go out once a month my legs are bad so I can only do like one maybe two buckets. But for me it's more about being able to get out and do something. The gold is definitely a bonus

don't try this at home in california. the "Fish and Game Code, the Clean Water Act, and the California Water Code" are strict and require permits for any form of motorized mining and water discharge. The FAQ says $10k to $25k a day fines.

As a small gas engine mechanic I feel for ya with keeping things running. Fuel, nowadays, and small engine fuel components are enemies.

That's a pretty nifty little high banker. Can a person use a high output bilge pump with a lithium trolling motor battery to run it rather than a gas motor pump? I've seen that setup for just a sluice box but not a high banker. btw, clever place to dig!
Bilge pumps are ok, but lose pressure rapidly if your hose has to climb more than a couple feet. I use trolling deep cycle battery to run my pump and trommel on my gold cube / gold fox setup. Works great, but you need to be right next to water source, even with 2000 gph pump.
Gary is highbanking legal in California? I thought due to the Clean water act, we were no longer able to high bank? Honest question, i just don't know.
