When you say that you are using pastels, what are you using exactly? And does that go on before or after firing?

She is using Pastel Chalk (the same thing artist's use to draw with). You can find it in any craft/art store. It's better if you shade the clay BEFORE you bake it - but you can also brush it on afterwards. If you do it after it's baked you will need to apply either a matte or glossy finish on it so the chalk doesn't wear off. Hope that helps. ;-)

I don't know what brand of clay she uses......
most youtubers colour their creations first, bake and then glaze it..
