Looking good, take your time don't rush like we did on the ol B cab KW, found we were 3/16s off from right frame to left frame, brand new inner and outer a month later finally had drives under it
Frank, I ran across something today you might be able to use, it's a Velvac brake light switch, part # 57S-21, I'm sure another part number superceded it now, but it is for air brakes, it's also rebuildable....how do I get it to you?
ill have to look into that. i wonder if id be better off with a 13 or an 18 so i could split the gears in the hills and having 350 horse. thanks for watching Frank
@@Digginok i live at the bottom of the mountain and there's some pretty good grades around here. even with the 500+hp trucks at work i end up down in low range to pull most of them. im estimating ill only be grossing 65k ish for a few of my machines but who knows what ill find next. there's a scale next exit over from me and id like to weigh everything.
@@73DiamondReo an 18 would be the ticket it sounds like. Never can have too many gears, I wish mine was a 13, the difference is 400 rpm per shift, a 13 would be around 250.
@@Digginok yeah an 18 is big money. last two trucks i ordered i put 18's in them. Great trans! Id have to come across a good deal on one and a bell housing. it'll have to do for now. just go a little slower but it will still do the job
Good to see another video. I like the way you said the mag drill makes it easy, so what constitutes a hard job? It is without a doubt a labor of love. When you said 70 to 75 I thought my 6V71 Diamond Reo could only dream about that but at least it will sound like it’s going fast! I was curious about the progress on the skid steer. By the way, the Link-Belt is on my mind.
havent done anything with the skid steer. i have the engine back from the machine shop but still have to put it together. cat 60 is coming along well. you'll be after the linkbelt in no time
@@73DiamondReo When the holes are reamed for the bolt, the bolt also acts like a locating pin. If a spring bracket loosens up a little it will more likely to stay in alignment with the holes being tight. Other wise things would get very loose and chuck around.. Just my .02.
some good progress, a mag drill is a absolute must have for a project like that.
its been a life saver!

measuring from the same spot on both side of the truck i was within 1/16th. i checked it a few times so im pretty happy with that
WOW DOING AN AMAZING JOB THAT RIG IS REALLY GONNA BE Something when she's all complete
Its going to be a good working truck but not anywhere near show quality. trying to work within my budget and time frame. Still a long way to go
Cool to see a truck from my area lol ! You need to be in sandals in order to create the Pakistani truck channel lol !
ill pass. dont need to be pulling metal shavings out of my feet for days
@@73DiamondReo Those guys make me cringe..

I dont understand 50% of your words, cause Im from Ukraine))) but Im so interested) waiting for next video! Best wishes from Ukraine!
thanks. new video is up
Making good progress! That 15 speed can be made into an OD, would be about right for the 4.11 axles. Nice work

@@73DiamondReo a 13 od would be great. I’m running 3.73 and a 15 over. A bit too much for a heavy load. But I’m never that heavy.

Usually frame holes are drilled undersize then reamed to size for the bolts, in my experience.
probably a better job but for a shop building replacement rails i could see why they would go a little oversize

Glad to see some progress, what type of drill bit are you using? I'm not familiar with a bit that has a pilot...keep up the great work!! God Bless!!
its an annular cutter. they're great for drilling thick material
That drill is the bomb. Is it magnetic?
yes it has an electromagnet in the base
Qwal motor ele usa?? Brazil um abraço!!
