Too cool. Wanted one of these old Autocars for about as long as I've known them to exist. Someday I hope I'll have one, but in the meantime, it's really nice to see people posting videos of them still moving around.
Wish someone would make a definitive full history of this very cool company. They made a panel van that would look right at home in the Fallout 4 video game.
The story about the duals happened to me before. Only I was in a 2000 Volvo Tri-axle dump. I saw one wheel & tire go right by me up the soft shoulder of the road. It was the RR axle, and I was freighted to. The shop mechanic screwed me over that day. He was fired for drinking at work.
I watched a set of duals come off a north bound trailer on I69 just south of Fort Wayne Indiana, duals went through the median across south bound lane and take out a medium size tree. They bounced a good thirty feet in the air coming out of the median… I’ll never forget that praying it wouldn’t hit a car or truck.
Dangerous going wild at 60 to 80 mph on a highway. No one’s expecting that. Good thing those you saw didn’t hurt anyone. I never knew what happened to the ones I saw.
OMG, you didn't use a torque wrench to tighten the lugs, those tires are going to fly off!!! ROTFLMAO, JK. I just get a kick out of all the young "techs" who think everything has to be done with a torque wrench. My favorite part is when they use their torque wrench on stuff with dirty, rusted, or damaged threads. I guess that A-Car has a Kysor Alarm/Shutdown on it? I ran an A-Car with a 318 in it with one pulling an 8 axle combination. Some of those western Pa hills I'd have everything in low with that detroit screaming and only moving at a slow walking pace. That thing would start to get hot and the Kysor alarm would come on, and I'd have to hold the button in until I could get it off the road somewhere to let it cool down

Fantastic to see these old beasts still working! Here in Ontario all the classic rigs are too shiny, and they all say NOT FOR HIRE 🤦♂️
Good job James you did just fine 👌

Yeah this one is regularly being used like our Mack trucks.
We don’t have any newer than about a 1987 model
@@AppalachianRustWhat kind of tractor model is this?! 🧐
@@ЭминМаврин it’s an AutoCar.

Cool Autocar. It reminds me of the red one featured in the Stephen King film "Maximum Overdrive"
Man that dump trailer needs new style hubs😂😂😂
Beautiful Dump truck 🤩🤩🤩
Virei fã de você!! Seu canal é espetacular !!
funny how all the old Acars with the white steering wheels alll crack
The Mack road tractors steering wheel has cracked as well. It’s a tan color. The DM Mack has a different style wheel and it is fine

I know that override is for the oil pressure on this truck I’m not sure if it works with the water temperature or not

Its a Cummins
You should find a coal haul for that Jewel 😉

sweet yard. mud ruts bad there?
It gets muddy in the winter months but doesn’t rut around the shop, not bad anyway. There’s a heavy rock base

How many gears bro?
9 speed on the highway. Transmission is an 8LL with a deep reduction so it’s got some low end gears
من یک دستگاه مدل 1964داشتم بدون سوپر شارژر بود و فرمان خشک بود ویک کمک وسط شاسی داشت سه عدد دنده میخورد و گیربکس پنج دنده بود موتور هم کامینز 180بود

Wanted to purchase this Truck....
It’s not for sale, we use it often
