Saw you the other day saying your brother isn't a watch guy because he has a Hamilton,. I'd say your not a watch guy as you bow at the feet of Rolex,. Any true watch guy wouldn't wear something that treats their customers so badly, but hey I only have a watch roll of Seiko's and a Hamilton oh yeah and a g shock but I'm not a watch guy
@@ChrisJones-ki2bx I’ve have never said he isn’t a watch guy “because” he has a Hamilton. I’ve said he isn’t particularly a watch guy but I helped him buy a Hamilton. I’m a watch guy and I own a Hamilton. Make videos on Hamilton’s and have another one coming up!

That new Fears X CW watch is stunning! The Brunswick case is such a classic... incredible dial... and the way the hour instantly flicks. 🤯 Best wishes to the Alliance!
I looked at this watch from alliance one website and mainly all parts made in either Switzerland or Germany except the leather band and the design concept Itself which both designed in England
Thank you for all your educational videos for the watch enthusiasts. Me and my son who just turn to 8 years old watching your videos and he just into this hobby . The best thing in your channel and theo and harris are suitable for kids to learn without any bad words in your videos 😍😍
I actually got one of these today. I was very lucky. They sold out within 2 minutes, so I am very pleased that for once luck was on my side. I got watch number 02, so that is really cool. I am looking forward to getting it, and I hope to pass it on one day to one of my children. Great video Adrian. I really like your work. You always make informative and entraining videos. I am American, but I must admit that I wish I had an English accent. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers!
Just ordered my first British watch last night, coincidentally. Chris Ward Bel Canto with black dial. Not due until the end of this year, but I'm excited to start my British watch journey!
Adrian talking about the inventor of the tourbillon sounded like people who say, "you know, french fries were actually invented in Belgium?....I know right."
Fears is awesome. We had the good fortune to briefly chat with Nicholas Bowman-Scargill at the Red Bar Global meet in New York. Brilliant fellow and beautiful watches.
You got me to sign up right after this video and I don't usually memberships with annual fees online other than Amazon. That was a great pitch and can't wait to see what the Alliance has to offer. It's very exciting to see the best of the Brits get together for a common goal. BTW I am from the same country as Breguet, we don't usually sign up for any type British alliances :)
Cool piece, fun to see the Fears Edwin font in a jump hour. Definitely very retro looking. But the FIRST modern day collaboration between two British watchmakers? 🤨 what about the Fears Garrick less than a year ago?
some lovely inventions from british watchmakers and clockmakers over the centuries, and a rich history, and here too in the US. it's nice to see that both are seeing a resurgence of watchmaking (not fast enough here in the US, however)
Yes more power to the Alliance. It was a great idea in the first place and this watch confirms it. I was never a massive fan of jump hours but this is elegant and classy. But then what else would expect from Fears or for that matter Christopher Ward too. Excellent stuff guys I bet they have sold out already?
I wasn't patriotic about British watches until I was handed a Smiths Astral that belonged to my Grandad and I really liked it. I had a spare watch box to keep it in with the space for 4 watches, and those 3 vacant spaces really bothered me about 6 months later I decided to fill the space with other British watches, I got a 'Mr Jones Watch - The King' (Yes I will be wearing it on coronation), a few months later a Christopher Ward C5 mk3 Automatic and the last slot, some say the best till last, my Nephew had a Bronze Bremont Broadsword that he wanted rid of, he is strictly a 2 watch man, a G-Shock and a Statement watch, he upgraded to a Tudor Blackbay and he expressed his desire on selling on the Bremont last Christmas, I made a cheeky offer, cheeky being a triple figure number for which I thought many swearings and then laughter would ensue, but he accepted my offer (With a few free trips to the airport and a nice bottle of Scotch for Christmas). I feel I have a nice British watch collection.
You don't really need a seconds hand, just a little window so you can see the balance wheel moving suffices, and you can make it so it matches any dial... yes, I also find annoying not having a visual clue about the clock running
Great video Adrian I have the C/W jump hour great watch. This is a beautiful watch but the price tag ?. Couldn't they have done double the number at half the price to make it accessible to us mortals.
I remember I bought my CW jump hour new in a sale for 670 pounds. I’m thinking now what a bargain I got. I love the watch, you not only hear a little click on the hour change but sometimes feel a tap to ur wrist also. Love it
"Limited", great! Not really worth getting excited for then. I'd genuinely love one and love the design, but they haven't made it for the like's of me. And this is a problem for a lot the watch industry, its all about pompous exclusivity that only the wealthy or famous have access to. Shame, I'd love to of purchased one as IMO is reasonably priced for such a piece. Great video Adrian, really informative as usual.
Great video. Love this watch. Really original design. Very elegant. Beautiful dial. Case shape reminds me a little of a Panerai Luminor Due (minus the crown lock). I also prefer to see the seconds ticking but agree wouldn’t fit the design.
It looks possible to integrate a spinning circular dual or ring into this watch to display running seconds easily. Incorporating it into the movement inside or outside the hour disk is probably easier said than done.
Fair play to this new alliance / Co - lab , looks fantastic from where I’m sitting - gorgeous colour , love the jump hour style dial - next step would love to see a piece that can challenge a A Lange Zeitwerk with a digital style face .
A lovely watch, thanks for the video. It maybe a silly detail, but for me it’s nice to see ‘England’ stamped on the dial and not ‘UK’, as England is almost always referred to these days. Cheers!
I’d love RS to do something like MB&F with the Mad1. Perhaps a collab with CW where the case and movement is CW and Sellita based but RS adds a fancy module to the movement. After the success of the Bel Canto I’d love to see CW do something like this next.
Thanks for the awesome content and the info on watches that are new to me. I am newish to the watch collecting and really would like to finally get to own a grail. How did you eventually get to own a grail if you don't mind me asking. Cheers.
Great vid Adrian. British watches are so seriously underrated and overlooked in my opinion. Hopefully you’ve peaked some interest in the watch community. It’s not always about the Swiss.
Cool "Collab"(?). IF a running seconds were to be added, perhaps it could be opposite the jump hour window and be at the 6. Maybe a small framed subdial that is same scale as the jump hour. Wouldn't need much detail as it would just be to see the watch is running. But, this works just fine as designed.
My apologies for stating they’re already sold out. I was misinformed. They’re not on sale until next week. Only 50 are available and you have to be a member of the British watch & clockmakers to buy one. A first come first served basis.
Bloody Brilliant. Go Briitish watches! Love that jump hour. Black would be so good on a polished case.and yes, perhaps something moving, does not have to be a second hand but perhaps a pendulum or a disc?? at the 6? Just a thought
The minute hand was a missed opportunity to flex their design chops. As the focal point it could’ve been a lollipop or stop sign hand to complement and balance the circular hour window.
On the Fears/CW, when the hour indicates a "5" and the minute hand is very near the apex, how do you know if the time is a few seconds short of six, or a few seconds past five? Other, of course, than waiting a couple of minutes and taking another reading. Stunning watch though. Applaud the alliance, but beware of committees.
Absolute stunner! Make the minute hand reach closer to the minute track and add a small seconds dial at 6 o'clock that mimics the jump-hour window and this American would attempt repatriation! 😄

The Alliance concept is awesome and if pieces like this collaboration come out, I guess British watchmaking may welcome a renaissance era.
I would like to see that 👍

Ive been waiting for someone to review this!
Got to say this is super cool!
Let’s not forget George Daniel, the briton who invented the coaxial escapement mechanism used by omega

Just bought a MHD SA2. They're part of the Alliance and their watches are so cool. Bought the watch because I liked it. Being British is a bonus!
Excellent video and gorgeous watch, cheers Adrian!

Lovely footage and shots of a stunning watch! British watchmaking is a serious deal these days. Hugely excited about where it's heading...
beautiful watch
Great to see the joy you brought to the video
Jump hour mechanism is seriously cool. Very nice timepiece
What a piece of work THAT is. Just BEAUTIFUL.
seems like clear nods to early Panerai Radiomir as well - cushion case, no seconds. really interesting and different dial - love it!

Entente Cordiale? or more sinister: Sykes-Picot?
Nice bit of history about Arnold, the tourbillon, and Breguet. This is the stuff of legend…
Love it. Dont miss the seconds hand, if you aren't timing a lap you really never need or use a seconds hand.
Great watch, I am a proud owner of a Fear's Redcliff “Streamline”; lovely watch.
great info to get us excited about a British resurgence. Your site is on a rocket ride to have bagged this horological scoop. Congrats
Like the idea and the watch, the name is fearful.

Great video. I learned a few new things from this today. Very neat way to display time as well and, I agree, I miss a running seconds.
Loved the George cameo at 1:42 😂😂, all AET jokes aside, amazing video and piece from the collab, keep it amazing adrian
Thanks! Can you do a brief history of British watch making! ❤
Very nice.
Idea: You could have the seconds sweeper running around the outside but hidden in in the middle but the centre dial ?

Lovely watch, isn't that same movement as Bel Canto?
Absolutely stunning watch. Exudes luxury.
This is a great collaboration designed watch, I have the Christopher Ward jumping hour. Mk111. 40mm it's a great watch also.
Awesome watch. I agree with the running seconds. Might be nice at 6oclock to mirror the jump hour and maintain symmetry.
Another great video, Adam! Is visiting the Royal Observatory worth it for a watch enthusiast, besides standing on the prime meridian line? Thanks
It's a really nice watch the dial reminds me of Ming which is no bad thing. It's a shame they're not making more of them.
Holy crap! That is stunning.
Love the Fears / Christopher Ward watch. Running seconds not required
30 seconds of your life and you’ll see it working.
Maybe the Alliance will eventually result in British watch makers putting "British Made" on the dials, rather than "Swiss Made" as they currently do.
Those Easter eggs are top notch!
Great video Adrian
