Years ago I looked forever for a Deathclaw to tame. He was a bad pet. He attacked everybody, even those on my team. I had to take him for a long camping trip in Scorchbeast Territory to get rid of him. RIP Spanky.
@@ObsidionshadowX that was on the survival mode server so I'm sure it's different now. Base turrets were also hostile to all other players in survival, which was stupid.
Thank you for sharing the information about pet transferring from one camp to another; this fixed my biggest gripe with the permanent death issue we have been facing for years. I had pretty much not bothered with taming in 76 for years due to the random death issues but this fixes everything.
@@UraniumFever76 Just wanted to let you know my copy mongrel just died and the original one was also killed and no longer was spawning as well in my backup camp so I'm not sure if this was patched. I'm going to be taming a bit further to give it another go, might have been my fault due to grabbing multiple tames at once though; will let you know if I find out anything different.

Been waiting for this one since the last one... I want that Chameleon Deathclaw! Hubby's Deathclaw is always changing but the most badass one was a glowing Alpha Deathclaw. His camps in the Ash Heap.
@@UraniumFever76 My hubby is a high level, in the 500s or so. I’m not sure how tied to the levels some are. And with my glowing deathclaw at the whitesprings , and I am over level 400.

Great info, I had no idea different variants of pets are available depending upon your level. I am a bit disappointed that the level range for the chameleon deathclaw is so limited. I will definitely never have one of them, so I'll let go of that dream!
Thank you! Yeah it is disappointing and strange it’s so low, I think it’s tied to the level they spawn in the wasteland. What’s interesting is there are other level range spawns, we just don’t know what they are exactly yet. They should look at changing the range to be honest!

I always wanted to know how to get the glowing deathclaw, ive had the Diseased normal looking version for a while, super happy all I had to do was toggle a different camp active in another biome and bam lvl 50 diseased went to 100 glowing diseased, most excellent

@@dotchub996 it’s just a standard Deathclaw,can be found and tamed in random encounter locations, to change it to chameleon you just need to have a camp in a specific region savage divide/cranberry bog (send it once tamed to your original camp then switch to the one in that region mentioned and when you swap servers you will have a chameleon deathclaw
I do hope they make deathclaw stronger, right now they are not scary at all. And I hope there will be a stat system so we can see the rank at what you have taming. And more info on taming in Fallout 76, many people dont know how to tame. Im lvl 1000+ have played over 2200 h and have not tame anything 🤣

Very nice. Where are you getting the supplies to build you advanced camps? Your camps are highly advanced and seem much more involved than what are typically found in the game, or even in many different videos on building camps.

The Part with Backup the animal, is King. I'll send my future tamed creatures to my secondary Camp and then copy the stronger Version to my primary Camp. If it die, I have the Backup. Thx man.
This one is a bit more confussing. Are you implying that pepita the deathclaw is in a fact a clone with alter dna from the fors *stranger things theme* Joke aside i tamed one and expecting to arrive to the second camp. But how long it takes?

I dont know if it truly is level specific because of people managing to find them despite being waaay higher level. Also there a video of someones level 50 regular deathclaw turning into a chameleon deathclaw when he turned his 2nd CAMP on at the Ash Heap region

Thanks mate! I thought you would like the terrarium lol. Did build it in custom to mash the asteroids together (and for the extra budget). Right haha its lucky I barely played on two characters otherwise no chance. Really don't understand why they've set the spawns to these levels honestly.
When I pacify an animal in game it doesn’t give me the option to tame it. I have maxed out animal companion, is there something specific I need at my camp?
Hmm it sounds like you might have the taming bug on that character. I have it on one of my own - it basically won't let you tame anything even if you have all the requirements. All you should need is an animal friend at rank 3. Do you have any other characters you could try it on? Also just in case make sure you are standing close to the animal lol sometimes it won't register from a distance
@@UraniumFever76 yeah I set camp 1 back up and fast traveled back, it went back to level 50 regular sadly. Trying to figure out how to go back to my normal camp by relay tower El b1 02, and keep the chameleon.

I’ve been trying for years based on the taming tutorials this guy has made, and I’ve yet to ever see the prompt to send an animal of any kind to my camp.
It should turn to glowing! I'm not actually sure what the level range for mythic is yet - going to be testing more and working with some dataminers to find out for all the other variants.

Sorry very late reply, the walls are a mix; jail walls, metal walls with alien wall paint and glass roofs . I actually watched a tutorial for the circle blueprint so hopefully there should be some on RUclips for you to check out that explain.
I’ve found that you can’t normally unfortunately. I normally use a camp that I’m not interested in it being at, but send it to the camp I want it at. It will be glowing at every other camp (assuming all are in the right region). Or an Alpha in the ash heap.
hey mr. fever! i have a question. how rare is a tame spawn. i have been server hopping a couple separate locations for over 2 hours and have yet to find an animal i can tame. plz let me know if i can do anything to fix this. and thank you
Agreed. I think the general spawn ranges are shared too because you never see them. They should just randomise everything instead of making things region specific.
I copied a deathclaw to a second camp. It was there for a couple weeks and then it disappeared. My original is still at the first camp. Is there a way to re-copy my deathclaw or some way to fix this? P.S. thank you for making this video it was cool when I saw this. I really wanted an animal at my C.A.M.P. after I watched this.
Thanks mate! So unfortunately once you’ve copied a creature once you will need to find a new one and copy that. Bit annoying but you can’t copy one twice. I would recommend trying to make a cage of some kind with your camp module in the middle. I’ve found they tend to last longer that way!
Wish there was some dedicated taming spawns that only yield a random creature. Feel like taking out some of the randomness would make it a true pet feature that everyone can easily. enjoy..
@@WehKheezy normally I would agree. You want a cool pet? Put in the work. I just wish "the work" wasn't server hopping 425 times to find a dog that's gonna ether die in a few days or never make it to your camp. Make em work for the rare pets sure but everyone deserves like a dog or house cat to make the wasteland feel less lonely at least.
Any pet can become scorched! I don’t recommend keeping them though as they will try to attack a lot of your camp objects. I don’t think they can damage them anymore but can get very irritating.

dont know if you know the fix for this but i had two sloth and 1 deathclaw wanted to clone the death claw and couldnt get it to work on my 4 or 5th camp looked at the link you had to help find more info. Found out you can only have 1 Tamed animal and the rest have to be copys from how i read it. So i then killed my two sloth b,c they are kinda anoying with all the yelling. After i killed them tryed to clone the deathclaw again and yes i did log out on each camp that had a sloth once after they were dead and that camp was active to remove the corps. But for the life of me the clone thing will not work the only thing that might mess with it the camp that has my death claw is #3 not my first camp. Anyways any advice.?
Hmmm. I've never actually been in this situation actually - I will have to test it myself. Which regions are your other camps in? And does the Deathclaw not travel to the other camps at all?
@@UraniumFever76 They are all in the savage Divide and one is in Cranberry Bog. the only thing i can think of is there is a set time after a tame dies that you need to stay on that camp for the body to go away or soemthing. i cant find the corps on either of the camps were i had the sloth killed
@@thenotoriousdog8149 literally happened to me. How to fix it is make sure you have no pets active or alive at any camp then restart the cycle of finding and taming a deathclaw. Place the new deathclaw at a camp you want to be the main and start from there
Late to the reply better then nothing I suppose, it has to be a random encounter to "tame" it and it also has to be a solo random encounter so it can't spawn with another person/creature
PLEASE HELP! First, great video! One thing i dont understand: My home camp is in the forest. I cant move it anywhere else bc it is build in a stone wall and i want to keep my main camp here. Is it possible to make a fast second camp, change my deathclaw to an alpha in a second camp in the ash heap, then put him back in my main camp in the forest and KEEP the alpha death claw? Or will it change back to normal, no mather what i do simply bc it is in the forest? Thx for any help!! :)
Took 1 hour 11 min for my deathclaw to make it to my camp. Tamed it in the mire, camp is in the southernmost part of the mire. Felt like a lifetime lol.
My primary pet Was killed by other Player Camp, on full purpose. pacifist active, but Larry is still dead. Now i try to get a New copy from my secondary camp, but is do not Transfer anymore. Dont wanne go for a New one. Also I Think about get an third Camp slot to have More savety.
I think it's just one copy. Like you do the process for one camp, and that one you choose will have the unique variant. If you switch to other camps eventually the pet should be there too I believe but it will be a standard one. Would need to run again really its been about a year since I last did it!

When u create the variant deathclaw can u replace the old one, like with a mirelurk or something completely different without it affecting the new deathclaw variant you created, or do you have to keep both deathclaws

I’m seeing a lot of stuff online that it’s only possibly to have one tamed animal, and even in game it says that it will replace any tamed pet if I tame a new one. Hi Sam! Glad you liked the video. So yeah it is possible to have multiple a lot of people do. How this works varies though - so technically if you have a Deathclaw at a camp slot switching to a second camp will copy it to the second camp most of the time, this won’t happen straight away though. They don’t actually travel between them. So assuming you have a Deathclaw at camp slot 1 then you could have a copied Deathclaw at camp slot 2 or a new pet.
I have a problem with my deathclaw, i tame it and i switch the camps because not see this video before, but now the deathclaw spawn all the time around the area where i tame him. soo now dont know what i need to do to make him go to my camp. And i try to copy him to my second camp but dindt work :(((
I’ve never seen one (that I’m aware of) but as I often hunt and do a circuit of random spawn points, I’m wondering how many potential pets I’ve unknowingly killed 🥺🥺
So I'm kind of running into a glitch, it worked the first time no problem. I copied the deathclaw over to one of my camps, then the deathclaw randomly died by floating up into the air and falling. The problem is, I tried to repeat the copy process to try and bring it back and now that initial deathclaw won't duplicate over to my other camp. Any idea as to why? Like, can that initial death cannot be duplicated more than once?
Very informative video. I have a question: I have two camps, one in the Mire and one in the Savage Divide. I had a pet in my Mire Camp and I had a deathclaw at my Savage Divide Camp. I let the pet in the Mire Camp die to enemies because I wanted to copy my Savage Divide Deathclaw to the Mire Camp to make it a glowing variant. I followed your steps of how to copy the pet but nothing shows up at my Mire Camp. Do you maybe know why its not copying?
Hi there! Thanks for checking the video. Just to clarify - was the Mire Camp pet also a Deathclaw? If you had a Deathclaw at both then its possible it was just travelling between them or if you had a different pet at the mire its possible it could have locked that slot. I would recommend maybe attempting the process again with no current pets or activate a third camp and find a new deathclaw sending it there first and then try copying it to the mire camp. I normally try to do the copying process with nothing else currently tamed. Let me know if you find a workaround!
@@UraniumFever76 Thanks for the reply. The Mire camp pet was a mirelurk king. I lured some enemies nearby to kill it, thinking it will reset my camps pet slot. So after the Mirelurk king died I tried the copy method again, basically: I activated my Savage Divide Camp. Tamed a Deathclaw and waited for it to arrive at my Savage Divide Camp. Then logged out the world. I logged back in and changed camps to the Mire Camp with no pet now. Logged back out and back in again and still nothing at my Mire Camp. Not sure if my camp slot is still taken on the Mire Camp and Im also not sure how to “reset” it. I think I’ll take your advice and clear both my camps of pets and try the process again.
Update on my previous messages: I cleared both camps and tamed a deathclaw again and sent it first to the Savage Divide Camp. I followed all the steps in the video and the copy worked! Me and my glowing deathclaw thanks you.

I'm really sorry but it sounds like you have the taming bug. I have it on one of my characters - they always get pacify not tame option. test and make sure you are very close to the animal but it doesn't sound good. I only have it on one of mine works on the other characters. They need to fix this, its been a problem for so long.
Went to my camp one day and my old buddy deathclaw (Fred) was gone ! Don’t know why must have run away ! But seriously fumming took me ages to get one and one day gone don’t know why had my perk on at all times ?
awsome video thanks only i have 1 question i wasted my full day or lets just say today i server hopped for 5 hours straigth and i wanted to look for a alpha deathclaw at ash heap i did find a few tamebles but didnt find a single aplha deathclaw i was realy disapointed but i would like to know if they even spawn there i got a few times normal deathclaws on other random encounters like the one near foundation but i didnt found a single unique one i did found like a milion times an encounter of supermutans fighting a alpha deathclaw but that one cant be tamed pls help
Hey mate! So what you need to do is find a standard Deathclaw at a taming location. You can’t tame the unique ones directly. This is the process - find a standard Deathclaw - send it to a camp slot which you DONT want it at - once it’s arrived switch to a second camp slot where you DO want it at - load out and load back in. For the alpha variant to spawn you need to have a camp in the ash heap too btw.

Watseland Whisperer is useful for pacifying 'creatures' like Deathclaws in the wild. Don't need it for taming though! :)

The Part with Backup the animal, is King. I'll send my future tamed creatures to my secondary Camp and then copy the stronger Version to my primary Camp. If it die, I have the Backup. Thx man.

I dont know if it truly is level specific because of people managing to find them despite being waaay higher level. Also there a video of someones level 50 regular deathclaw turning into a chameleon deathclaw when he turned his 2nd CAMP on at the Ash Heap region

Thanks mate! I thought you would like the terrarium lol. Did build it in custom to mash the asteroids together (and for the extra budget). Right haha its lucky I barely played on two characters otherwise no chance. Really don't understand why they've set the spawns to these levels honestly.
Just tamed a scorched death claw and when i switched camps i got a albino deathclaw instead of a glowing one which i found pretty cool

When I pacify an animal in game it doesn’t give me the option to tame it. I have maxed out animal companion, is there something specific I need at my camp?
Hmm it sounds like you might have the taming bug on that character. I have it on one of my own - it basically won't let you tame anything even if you have all the requirements. All you should need is an animal friend at rank 3. Do you have any other characters you could try it on? Also just in case make sure you are standing close to the animal lol sometimes it won't register from a distance

I tamed a level 50 deathclaw while I was level 79. Set up second camp in bog, reloaded and he turned into a level 75 green chameleon deathclaw.
That is awesome!!! Glad it worked. When you load in each time you play it might change colour too.
@@UraniumFever76 yeah I set camp 1 back up and fast traveled back, it went back to level 50 regular sadly. Trying to figure out how to go back to my normal camp by relay tower El b1 02, and keep the chameleon.

hey! So normally when you get a new pet but already have one currently, you will send it to your camp and it will replace the current one.

Load out and load back in means log out and log in from the game？

It should turn to glowing! I'm not actually sure what the level range for mythic is yet - going to be testing more and working with some dataminers to find out for all the other variants.

Sorry very late reply, the walls are a mix; jail walls, metal walls with alien wall paint and glass roofs . I actually watched a tutorial for the circle blueprint so hopefully there should be some on RUclips for you to check out that explain.

Question - once you've copied your Deathclaw to the correct region (say, made it Glowing), can get it back to your first camp as a Glowing One too?
I’ve found that you can’t normally unfortunately. I normally use a camp that I’m not interested in it being at, but send it to the camp I want it at. It will be glowing at every other camp (assuming all are in the right region). Or an Alpha in the ash heap.

hey mr. fever! i have a question. how rare is a tame spawn. i have been server hopping a couple separate locations for over 2 hours and have yet to find an animal i can tame. plz let me know if i can do anything to fix this. and thank you

Agreed. I think the general spawn ranges are shared too because you never see them. They should just randomise everything instead of making things region specific.

I copied a deathclaw to a second camp. It was there for a couple weeks and then it disappeared. My original is still at the first camp. Is there a way to re-copy my deathclaw or some way to fix this? P.S. thank you for making this video it was cool when I saw this. I really wanted an animal at my C.A.M.P. after I watched this.
Thanks mate! So unfortunately once you’ve copied a creature once you will need to find a new one and copy that. Bit annoying but you can’t copy one twice. I would recommend trying to make a cage of some kind with your camp module in the middle. I’ve found they tend to last longer that way!
Wish there was some dedicated taming spawns that only yield a random creature. Feel like taking out some of the randomness would make it a true pet feature that everyone can easily. enjoy..
I love that it's difficult, not everyone can easily get a pet and a rarer one like deathclaws or mega sloths are extra impressive
@@WehKheezy normally I would agree. You want a cool pet? Put in the work. I just wish "the work" wasn't server hopping 425 times to find a dog that's gonna ether die in a few days or never make it to your camp. Make em work for the rare pets sure but everyone deserves like a dog or house cat to make the wasteland feel less lonely at least.

Any pet can become scorched! I don’t recommend keeping them though as they will try to attack a lot of your camp objects. I don’t think they can damage them anymore but can get very irritating.

dont know if you know the fix for this but i had two sloth and 1 deathclaw wanted to clone the death claw and couldnt get it to work on my 4 or 5th camp looked at the link you had to help find more info. Found out you can only have 1 Tamed animal and the rest have to be copys from how i read it. So i then killed my two sloth b,c they are kinda anoying with all the yelling. After i killed them tryed to clone the deathclaw again and yes i did log out on each camp that had a sloth once after they were dead and that camp was active to remove the corps. But for the life of me the clone thing will not work the only thing that might mess with it the camp that has my death claw is #3 not my first camp. Anyways any advice.?
Hmmm. I've never actually been in this situation actually - I will have to test it myself. Which regions are your other camps in? And does the Deathclaw not travel to the other camps at all?
@@UraniumFever76 They are all in the savage Divide and one is in Cranberry Bog. the only thing i can think of is there is a set time after a tame dies that you need to stay on that camp for the body to go away or soemthing. i cant find the corps on either of the camps were i had the sloth killed

@Peesidan what did it change in to? They can also spawn as glowing but reloading multiple times can trigger it.
@@thenotoriousdog8149 literally happened to me. How to fix it is make sure you have no pets active or alive at any camp then restart the cycle of finding and taming a deathclaw. Place the new deathclaw at a camp you want to be the main and start from there

I’ve seen that death law twice and had the max animal taming perks but never worked for me guess it was cuz it wasn’t a random spawn
Yeah you will need to tame a standard deathclaw and then convert it in to a Chameleon sadly!
When I try all it says is “pacify” not tame, I’m level 452 and I have both the perk cards equipped.
Late to the reply better then nothing I suppose, it has to be a random encounter to "tame" it and it also has to be a solo random encounter so it can't spawn with another person/creature

As far as I know they haven't. I found it was only affecting one of my characters not all of them!

First, great video! One thing i dont understand: My home camp is in the forest. I cant move it anywhere else bc it is build in a stone wall and i want to keep my main camp here. Is it possible to make a fast second camp, change my deathclaw to an alpha in a second camp in the ash heap, then put him back in my main camp in the forest and KEEP the alpha death claw? Or will it change back to normal, no mather what i do simply bc it is in the forest? Thx for any help!! :)

Took 1 hour 11 min for my deathclaw to make it to my camp. Tamed it in the mire, camp is in the southernmost part of the mire. Felt like a lifetime lol.

Was looking for some recommended spawn locations.
My primary pet Was killed by other Player Camp, on full purpose. pacifist active, but Larry is still dead.
Now i try to get a New copy from my secondary camp, but is do not Transfer anymore. Dont wanne go for a New one. Also I Think about get an third Camp slot to have More savety.
Late to the party, but can you send your pets to a second camp to get the variant and then back to original camp or would it just reset the variant?
I think it's just one copy. Like you do the process for one camp, and that one you choose will have the unique variant. If you switch to other camps eventually the pet should be there too I believe but it will be a standard one. Would need to run again really its been about a year since I last did it!

When u create the variant deathclaw can u replace the old one, like with a mirelurk or something completely different without it affecting the new deathclaw variant you created, or do you have to keep both deathclaws

Hi, really insightful and informative video. I am just wondering is it actually possible to have a different tamed pet at each camp? I’m seeing a lot of stuff online that it’s only possibly to have one tamed animal, and even in game it says that it will replace any tamed pet if I tame a new one. Just wanted to clarify this before I lose my deathclaw. Thanks :)
Hi Sam! Glad you liked the video. So yeah it is possible to have multiple a lot of people do. How this works varies though - so technically if you have a Deathclaw at a camp slot switching to a second camp will copy it to the second camp most of the time, this won’t happen straight away though. They don’t actually travel between them. So assuming you have a Deathclaw at camp slot 1 then you could have a copied Deathclaw at camp slot 2 or a new pet.

I have a problem with my deathclaw, i tame it and i switch the camps because not see this video before, but now the deathclaw spawn all the time around the area where i tame him. soo now dont know what i need to do to make him go to my camp. And i try to copy him to my second camp but dindt work :(((
I’ve never seen one (that I’m aware of) but as I often hunt and do a circuit of random spawn points, I’m wondering how many potential pets I’ve unknowingly killed 🥺🥺
Haha it’s quite possible! They will be back 😁 they tend to spawn on lower levels though which is a shame!

So I'm kind of running into a glitch, it worked the first time no problem. I copied the deathclaw over to one of my camps, then the deathclaw randomly died by floating up into the air and falling.
The problem is, I tried to repeat the copy process to try and bring it back and now that initial deathclaw won't duplicate over to my other camp. Any idea as to why? Like, can that initial death cannot be duplicated more than once?
I think they can only be copied once per pet sadly. Like if the copy dies then you can't copy the original again - it will need to be a new deathclaw.

I have two camps, one in the Mire and one in the Savage Divide. I had a pet in my Mire Camp and I had a deathclaw at my Savage Divide Camp.
I let the pet in the Mire Camp die to enemies because I wanted to copy my Savage Divide Deathclaw to the Mire Camp to make it a glowing variant. I followed your steps of how to copy the pet but nothing shows up at my Mire Camp. Do you maybe know why its not copying?
Hi there! Thanks for checking the video. Just to clarify - was the Mire Camp pet also a Deathclaw? If you had a Deathclaw at both then its possible it was just travelling between them or if you had a different pet at the mire its possible it could have locked that slot. I would recommend maybe attempting the process again with no current pets or activate a third camp and find a new deathclaw sending it there first and then try copying it to the mire camp. I normally try to do the copying process with nothing else currently tamed. Let me know if you find a workaround!
@@UraniumFever76 Thanks for the reply. The Mire camp pet was a mirelurk king. I lured some enemies nearby to kill it, thinking it will reset my camps pet slot.
So after the Mirelurk king died I tried the copy method again, basically:
I activated my Savage Divide Camp.
Tamed a Deathclaw and waited for it to arrive at my Savage Divide Camp.
Then logged out the world.
I logged back in and changed camps to the Mire Camp with no pet now.
Logged back out and back in again and still nothing at my Mire Camp. Not sure if my camp slot is still taken on the Mire Camp and Im also not sure how to “reset” it.
I think I’ll take your advice and clear both my camps of pets and try the process again.
Update on my previous messages:
I cleared both camps and tamed a deathclaw again and sent it first to the Savage Divide Camp. I followed all the steps in the video and the copy worked! Me and my glowing deathclaw thanks you.

NOTHING complete radio silence. Not expecting us to get it at this point, but at the very least would love some improvements made to the existing taming system.

I'm really sorry but it sounds like you have the taming bug. I have it on one of my characters - they always get pacify not tame option. test and make sure you are very close to the animal but it doesn't sound good. I only have it on one of mine works on the other characters. They need to fix this, its been a problem for so long.

awsome video thanks only i have 1 question i wasted my full day or lets just say today i server hopped for 5 hours straigth and i wanted to look for a alpha deathclaw at ash heap i did find a few tamebles but didnt find a single aplha deathclaw i was realy disapointed but i would like to know if they even spawn there i got a few times normal deathclaws on other random encounters like the one near foundation but i didnt found a single unique one i did found like a milion times an encounter of supermutans fighting a alpha deathclaw but that one cant be tamed pls help
Hey mate! So what you need to do is find a standard Deathclaw at a taming location. You can’t tame the unique ones directly. This is the process - find a standard Deathclaw - send it to a camp slot which you DONT want it at - once it’s arrived switch to a second camp slot where you DO want it at - load out and load back in. For the alpha variant to spawn you need to have a camp in the ash heap too btw.
