Was very odd to see Osorio sub in up top while Bair and Ugbo stayed on the bench. Imagine if Marsch pulled a little tactical switcheroo - making Argentina expect the 4-2-2-2 but then he fields a 4-2-3-1. Not that I really expect to see that, but I'd love to see Marsch using each and every trick he can to get a tactical advantage in that opening match.
Something that isn't discussed enough is that St. Clair is 6'3" tall & Crepeau is only 5'11. So you have to believe that St.Clair's wingspan is considerably longer than Crepeau's. If St. Clair is even close to being as flexible, technically sound, competent & as competitive as Crepeau & it looks like he is, then St.Clair's height & wingspan should be a deciding factor, as we head towards the 2026 World cup. It will be interesting to see how they both develop.. It is hard to replace Steven Vitirio's 6'5" height, when defending against corner kicks; but it is nice that Bombito is 6'3" & Cornelius is 6'1" & they are more athletic than Vitorio. Also, Kamal Miller is only 6' tall & Johnston is only 5'11" & I have seen them get beaten by tall opponents heading the ball on set pieces, so again it is nice to have these taller & faster young players coming up!
When did you guys film this? We already know that Ahmad and Russell Rowe have been added and Zator and Brym have been dropped. Marsch just needs to release one more by tomorrow (the 15th) to get to 26.
Promise David for Kalju in Estonia, yah I totally get it's Estonia. But he is ripping up that league in his 1st season. He is definitely one to look out for and should he go to a Belgium or Danish Team. I love the kids mentality (so confident). I encourage anyone to RUclips Promise David's goals, they are of the highest quality...And his physical profile even better, I think he is 6 ft 6
If one more player has to be dropped in addition to Brym and Zator, unfortunately with too many forwards in camp I would have to say Tani goes. For me, Nelson will be a future star but we would be better off getting minutes with his club team as we already have enough forwards and midfielders in camp. If Adekugbe available then Hiebert out.
I have questions of this team when things don't go our way. Can we fight together and persevere and overcome adversity? Or will we fold and point fingers 👉 at thr next guy.
I don't worry at all about the grit & perseverance of this team. They showed more grit & character than any team in Concacaf through the Qualifiers for the 2022 World cup & ended up #1. Unfortunately they ended up in the 'Group of Death' in that World cup; but still totally outplayed Belgium, the #2 ranked team in the world at that time. The other 2 teams, Croatia & Morocco, ended up being semi-finalists & Croatia was in the finals in 2018 & Canada only lost 2-1 to Morocco. Unfortunately Union issues & bad blood vs Canada soccer executives & John Herdman's departure, threw this team totally out of kilter throughout 2023; however, Canada still ended up being the finalist vs the U.S. in the 2023 Nations League, playing on the road. Now with new 'Soccer Canada' board members & a new dynamic CEO in Kevin Blue & with an enthusiastic Jesse Marsch at the helm, there is a renewed spirit on the team. Plus, Marsch's 'Press & Collapse' style is a terrific match with this speedy, talented young team. The established stars on this team (Davies, David, Buchanan, Eustaquio, Kone & Johnston) have all gained experience since 2022 & have all learned how to persevere from the old guard & they will be the leaders, along with a few veterans on the squad, plus the team has added some very athletic speedy talented young players to the roster (the average age of the starting 11 vs France was 25). This team's future is very bright & the 'Brotherhood' gritty attitude is back! Of course this team has only been playing under Jesse Marsch for a few weeks, so we should expect some hiccups & inconsistent play sometimes; but, they have already shown numerous times that they will overcome adversity, just as they did in the game vs France, after they were defeated by the Dutch. Any true Canadian fan has to be excited about the potential of this team.
The fact that Marsch started Larin both friendly games has me worried. It suggests that he expects to rely on him heavilly at Copa even though he seems like a poor fit. We need another striker in that spot or play David up top supported by a No.10.
@@gburbridge5966 david and larin havent played well together in big games for a while now, but i guess Marsch has to see it for himself. I'd rather just start David up top from beginning and then bring another striker next to him at 60th min if we need firepower.
Kone put on an absolute clinic - utterly brilliant! That performance against France alone surely secured his move to one of the top leagues.
Kids going to be the Best Canadian Midfielder of Alltime

Bair/Ugbo should get a start over Larin.
Agreed
The Bombito + Cornelious partnership was far better than I expected tbh

Johnston is shaky for me especially against fast competition. We need to play players against who we are playing. Not play who we got.
Lucas Pos should get a look at
Kone has improved
It’s time to call Jebbison !
I thought that Ali Ahmed and Jason Russel-Rowe have already been brought in for Copa?
Liam Fraser had a rough start vs France but got better as the game progressed

Probably yesterday (June 13th) and uploaded it today

Against Argentina first game? Absolutely NOT LOL

Let's not be like mexico. Let's reward European players. This making a MLS all Star team will end badly.
Brym was absolutely dreadful he was not useful
Harsh, he hardly played. None of our forwards have been scoring many goals since WC qualifying!
When have too many practice warriors. Look great at practice but average during the game. We need to get away from the practice warriors.
