      What did Rask do? He lost 3 Stanley Cups. He walked out on his team during the Covid Protocol (the only player in the NHL to do so) and in 2011 when the Bruins won, he had lost his starting job to Tim Thomas and never saw a second of ice time during the playoffs. Oh yeah, he also finished that year with about twice as many losses as wins. Rask is a playoff bum, a regular season superstar. He will never have his number retired, nor does he ever deserve to.

    Their Vezina-winning goalie, who leads their franchise in wins and took them to the Stanley Cup Finals twice, who only ever spoke good things about the city of Boston and its people, and explicitly stated that he doesn't want to play anywhere else.
    The last thing he got to hear while on the ice in his final NHL game was the Boston home crowd chanting "We want Swayman!"

    Hey there fellow Bruins fans... Been a Bruins fan for 60 of my soon to be 67 years ( started getting into watching ice hockey on TV and going to the old Cleveland Arena down on Euclid Avenue when the AHL Cleveland Barons were still around hereand playing games ) of my life back when my Favorite player #7 " Mr. Phil Esposito " started playing for the Bruins... However , i do agree with John L. 's comment about Toukka Raskes leaving the team to be with a daughter that had just the Sniffels & a Mild flu bug which resulted in the Bruins NOT winning the Stanley Cup during the year of the NHL fan lock out , they were sure to be Champions that year and his departure most definitely cost the Bruins that Stanley Cup !!! 😲 Oh Well , it was it was and how it happened and the Bruins " should " win it All this year... Fingers Crossed for sure... 🤗

      The fans aren't the ones his daughter needed when she was sick and I don't care if it was a boo-boo, a sniffle, or what else. If he felt that was his responsibility so be it and the hell with anything else. If you or anyone else puts a bunch of strangers' feelings and needs in front of your little girl's feelings and needs, then I'll tel you to your face you're not much of a man.

    • @russellgreco3720
      @russellgreco3720 2 года назад

      Hey a K. S. ~ uhm , Sorry to not agree with you , but that Bruins team was Kicking Ass all that season long and if i remember correctly , they had the Best Record too , were ranked # 1 going into the playoffs ( had the Best Record of All the other teams too ) and i do believe that they would have gone All the Way and won the Stanley Cup becuz Tuukka Rask was having an Awesome Season ! Granted the rest of team was also Very Solid in their play performance , but not the 2 backup goalies who were just Average... Looked how they ( the backup goalies) played after he left the team... They looked like a pair of Swiss Cheese players with so many holes in them by allowing the simple goals to get by them and i would have bet the Last Dollar in my pocket that Rask would not have let that many goals get past him ! You can't win games when they ( the backups ) were giving up more goals then the team could score ! Now as far as his family situation goes , again reports had it that the daughter Didn't have COVID - 19 , only a mild cold or flu bug that the wife could have taken care of and so he should have Stayed and helped his team to Win It All becuz the Bruins had not won The Cup since Tim Thomas had takened them All the Way prior and Rask was never again that Great since that season... Good , but not Great ! Also , i'm a Father & a Grandfather for Many Years ( of one sibling each ) and unless ethier one of these sibling were on their Death Beds , i would have stayed to play and help my team to get that Stanley Cup becuz the odds were on their favor to Win it All... In fact , my kid sister was dying from Stage 4 Cancer several years ago and she told to Stay Out on the road ( becuz i've been a tractor - tralier driver off and on for over 44 of my 66 years of being alive ) and not to be Hovering over her ( even though her & i were Very Close all of our lives ) due to the fact that she knew was Not going to be able to beat this Cancer this time around as she had 3 times prior over a 5 year period... Now before you go and make a Smart - Ass remark in regards to what i just printed , i was there to see her take her Last Breath of Life and also see a Single Tear roll out of her right eye too and it's Nothing like what you see in the movies when a person dies , NOTHING CLOSE TO IT !!! 😲😲😲 Will be 8 years coming up this August... Sighs ! 😭

      @@russellgreco3720 I'm not answering for anyone else and I didn't read all of your reply. I just wasnt you to be aware of something. The Boston Bruins are the reason the playoffs are seven game series in the NHL. The league was shocked they lost in a best of five, as they dominated the regular season. My point here is the regular season record means NOTHING in the playoffs. The only record that matters in the playoffs is 16 wins.
