I have both and have used both, with the Ultrasonics obviously being my newer custom set. I have to say that the 2x Pros seemed to slide better for me and also seemed to just weigh less - maybe it was just differently balanced given the larger outer calf you highlighted. From your review, did you notice any difference in weight? I’m trying to figure out why the stabilislide and updated calf wedge are sliding less for me or if I’m just loosing my mind 😂
So, Supreme will always weight more than Vapor since the shin and boot area are thicker than Vapor are. There is just more material there. I noticed the sliding to be not as good as my 2X Pro... But I never got to try them on the same ice back to back to each other so had it chalked up to the terrible ice I've been playing on. The knee block material feels more slippery on my 2X Pro compared to Ultrasonic... Not sure why as it feels like it should be the same material.

The only thing holding me back from getting a set of Bauer pads Is their stiffness,I love the performance of them but I like mine flexible than what they can offer.
I have a pair of new 2X’s I’ll finally get to use this Friday. As far as modding goes...if I modded the knee block lacing to tighten that and modded a calf pillow into the wrap....what difference do you think that would make?
@@zacharygeoffroy8533 Ah, yeah they are the same. The 2 lines are really blurred together now... This set will be one notch stiffer than stock Ultrasonic. My next set will be the stiffest they come.
@@zacharygeoffroy8533 It is personal preference. I like my pads straight and don't need the flex above the thigh so I am experimenting going as stiff as possible. I like the bigger rebounds and technically better seal as people can't jam the thigh rise as easy since it is so stiff.

I completely agree and I've been saying that since the 1X! Both of their lines are too similar and stiff and I feel like one has to deviate.
Is it worth it to pay up for the ultrasonic or should I stick with 3S
I think Ultrasonic as the 3S doesn't have the Stabilislide

The calf pillow would probably help the most to drive calf part into the ice quicker.

Purely personal preference. I did like a 30+ minute video on how I can't choose just one set 😂
