He assembles team yell, gets Marnie her first pokemon, and in the postgame, he IMMEDIATELY panics that Marnie might be in trouble every time Sonia says a new dynamax issue popped up. Game Freak was worried about a dark type gym leader seeming evil, and ended up making a dark type gym leader that comes across as a doting, almost over-protective older brother that looks like he desperately needs a nap (seriously, he looks SO tired, all the time). Can we, as a community, just collectively give this man a hug? He deserves it.
I just love Marnie in this. She just looks completely oblivious, like she's busy trying to remember what's on her shopping list or debating if she needs to bring an umbrella, and is completely missing the awesomeness happening behind her.
This song, out of all the rival theme songs, is the most "heroic" sounding, its a total shame they didn't give Marnie more to do or a chance to be a badass in the main story. Like this song would have fit perfectly when the legendaries pop in for the fight against Eternatus, that would have been the perfect moment for her to shine
