Soft and wet has always been scary, the idea of being able to steal anything from anything or anyone just scares me. And that’s not even mentioning it’s bubbles acting like a god damn void that just deletes everything that come in contact with it. it’s one of the reasons on why it’s one of my personal favourite stands aswell.

Soft & Wet also has gotten an upgrade. Apparently the bubbles aren't bubbles...they're strands of thread moving so fast they're not even really there. Yes, it has the power of the Spin. He actually beats Wonder of U using a special bubble from his birthmark directed by the Paisley park stand...fired through the INTERNET.

Something interesting to note with the new info is that while Tusk is a stand that gains power from Spin, Soft and Wet is a stand that *is* Spin, without any knowledge necessary. Well, that's not entirely correct. As long as Josuke knows that the stand uses Spin, he can amplify the Spin that the stand typically applies.

i used to think this but i’ve been rereading part 8 and his bubbles/plunder are used quite often in such creative ways. there are a bunch that i completely forgot about

he stole heat from the air near jobin during the beetle fight, and popped the bubble near a thermometer to find out speed kings ability
he also just uses his bubbles in general super creatively (as a shield, to steal pepper from soup (josefumi), contain poison gas and dolomites tooth, to fly over doremifasolati do)

The limits of the "Plunder" ability have no bounds so far. So technically, it is possible to steal someone's "life", making them an instant corpse.

Counterpoint: Josefumi's fourth character reference is to Joseph, not Okuyasu. The most obvious connection is their names; Joseph spoken in Japanese sounds like Josefu. Then you just add a 'mi' at the end and you have the new name. He's also (technically) the second protagonist in this universe, thus matching the two up in their order of appearances in the two chronologies.
More that that, now that we know more about how Go Beyond works, that it's a spin ability that almost reaches the heights of Johnny's, this means that just like Joseph in Part 2, Josefumi is carrying on the technique of the previous protagonist and evolving it.

!!!! the song choice is ABSOLUTELY thematically relevant. Rock humans are an anomaly walking in human skin. They seem timeless, inorganic, and indifferent to creating meaningful relationships with others. I don't want to sound like I have a PhD here, but rocks are hard, and often times dry. Then we have our man Gappy! Freshly born, wet and mushy, more human than anyone else (because of the four balls). Soft and wet is *at least* a thematic choice to how ultra human Gappy is in contrast to the rock people.

The spin, at its best, was able to travel through universes with Tusk Act 4 and warp Johnny with Tusk Act 3. These abilities fit in with Soft and Wet’s abilities.
The plunder ability is the ability to redirect stuff in Tusk Act 3, except the somewhere else is inside the bubble. However, the spin being parallel-dimension-spanning (and therefore not localized to the Jojolion universe) is what causes it to be acausal and therefore be unaffected by Wonder of U.
I would say that it still has the plunder ability but I don’t know why he prefers its explosive abilities or the spin part of his stand. The ability to steal anything is still overpowered and unless this is meant to parallel how this Yoshikage Kira’s Killer Queen is a more offensive power in that he is more heroic and therefore uses his powers more directly, I don’t know why he stopped using the plunder ability.
@@iantaakalla8180 Maybe because the story has been focused so much on the joestar and higashikata family that's why he didn't use it that much but now with hopefully the introduction of plunder we can get a better understanding of josefumi kujo family that we never touch before i mean ever, like i don't even sure that his mother has a name.
From the latest chapter (105) of jojolion it seems as though Yasuhos sight has been taken by plunder, since her eyes are completely black in the last pages.

Your death's quite infamous! Opponent resets you to zero? How do you reset something that doesn't exist!? In short, being able to summon something that isn't real yet can still kill someone is like taking TA4's Golden Rotation and hitting it with the Requim Arrow

Honestly though Soft and Wet is my favorite stand and the fact that his ability is pretty much a complete opposite of Crazy Diamond is just a really nice parallel that I thought was neat when I realized it
Well, I mean....it’s pretty obvious that the NEW rokakaka doesn’t just fuse Josefumi and Kira bodies, it creates a completely new person, thus a new soul that is its own thing.
Most importantly, it can use the SPIIIIIIN.
If he does manage to defeat Wonder of U he'll probably be up there with being one of the most powerful JoJo's in the series

Ive always thought that soft and wet looks dumb but after reading part 8 it quickly become one of my favourite stands
I hope the Part 9 mc gets another long range stand like Tusk or maybe even a wearable stand would actually really cool like White Album or Oasis. If it was a suit that would be pretty interesting if it was sentient and could speak to the mc or communicate with them somehow while they're wearing them and can fight within it

The use of the song Soft & Wet is a parallel to Gold Experience, in that if Gold Experience is the experience of having money, then Soft & Wet is the experience of having coochie. Then if you compare Gappy and Giorno you'll find that both are a fusion of two pre-existing characters and both are looking for a balanced new identity as a new being (it's insanely subtle with Giorno).
Also it's extremely fitting for both Giorno and Gappy to have Prince songs since both are in a way future kings; Giorno dethrones the crimson king and Gappy is about to evolve his stand into one that will belong with the rest of the Higashikatas, as such the naming scheme calls for a name featuring the word 'King'. I T ' S A L L C O N N E C T E D. Not to mention Gappy's overlap with the Elvis Presley song, "King Creole" which basically confirms it all.
Josuke is actually the closest thing in existence to Jotaro and has even been spotted doing the Jotaro pose on a few occasions. He's literally the son of both Holy and Sadafumi Kujo (the alternative to Sadao, Jotaro's father).
AALLLSoo Gappy using the spin is a thematic thing since the Spin technique comes all the way back from Jonny; Gappy using the Spin without ever learning it separately is a testament to how he has sorted his identity out and how all the bits and pieces of it are falling into place, including his family's legacy, which is what the Spin has always represented. This is especially reinforced by the imagery of the special bubble coming out of his birth mark. And yeah also just keep in mind that the bubbles have actually always used the Spin.
This basically means that josuke (gappy) is the ultimate JoJo

Sale tries to punch a guy with so much kinetic energy that his heart shouldve bursted out of his body through the back. Sadly the guy's stand ability is to reflect back damage so Sale is the one who gets his heart launched out.

The reason Josefumi and Kira "fully" fused was a combination between the new rokakaka fruit and the soil by the higashikata's estate which can fuse things as shown with the lemon and orange in chapter 17.

It sure turns out you were right with the newer bubbles. Looking back on this video it's remarkable how much you got right, with the climax since then explaining how Soft & Wet Go Beyond utilizes the SPIN against Wonder of U.
The rokakaka didn't affect the stands, it was the wall eyes that made them fuse. Remember the demosntration kyo gave with the two fruits.
Josuke(8) being made up of four people makes sense.

Base soft & wet is much much stronger than base gold experience.
What makes Giorno stronger is the arrow which gives him powers he seeks not only reset to 0. Reset to 0 was a power created to beat King Crimson.
The arrow itself isnt a stand ability. Its a power up which means the owner of the arrow can counter all stands he fights against. In this case the owner would be Giorno. The question would be can GER reset something that doesnt exist. Something that doesnt exist cant be resetted. Which means either Josuke oneshots him or he doesnt make it in time and GER would kill him.
But thats only if Giorno would keep the reset ability. Fighting Josuke would probably mean the arrow gives Gold Experience a diffrent ability to counter Soft & Wet Go Beyond.

I think that it was not just the locacaca fruit's power but also the wall eyes where Kira and Josefumi were buried. The locacaca exchanged the damaged body parts while the wall eyes mixed them up even further. This can be seen in Josuke's eyes and is why he also has an extra set of balls. It is probably also why their stand powers mixed
Because the fusion happened with both the Rokakaka and the special ground of the Higashikata estate (possibly because of the corpse), I’d say that the physical fusion was due to the fruit, but the spiritual fusion was from the ground

The reason why I'm saying this is because CD can heal/fix/restore things for whatever it touches, but here S&W destroys or takes things, while KQ on the other hand can detonate bombs like SHA or by touching someone/something and detonate it by pressing down his thumb but S&W can throw bubble moms at people and store stuff in them, or touch the person and place bubbles on them to explode the person.
It's such cool writing and I just learnt this while writing this comment, so that's good writing and convenient names for the characters.
