I went to my doctor in July as I had had a 3inch lump in my neck for 8 weeks, which is still there. I was diagnosed with B-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, this week, but they think it is low grade, but need to do another biopsy to make sure. The doctor said that itching skin and night sweats are not part of the symptoms, but I have read so much that says it is. I feel tired all the time and generally feel unwell. I can't sleep due to pain in my hips and anxiety due to diagnosis. At the moment they are going to watch and wait.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago. It was the CT scan that picked up on the enlarged lymph nodes in my upper and lower abdomen retro- peritoneum . Biopsy shows B-Cell lymphoma. I’ve always been so healthy, no smoking or drinking, I exercise and stay active. I eat very healthy.
I was sorry to learn of your breast cancer diagnosis, and that you have also been diagnosed with lymphoma. I imagine that this may be a difficult time. Very often, why someone has developed lymphoma will be unknown, but we know that it won't be something that you've done, or not done, that has caused this; lifestyle factors are not generally linked to lymphoma. There can be risk factors that can mean someone may go on to develop lymphoma, but the risk is still very small. We have some information on what we do know about the causes of lymphoma, and this can be found here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-what-lymphoma/causes-and-risk-factors-lymphoma#otherfactors You'll see this gives details on cell changes that can happen in our bodies. It's really natural to think about what may have caused this, and I hope our information the causes may be of some help. We send our best wishes to you.

I've dealt with T-Cell Lymphoma for 18 years, diagnosed at the age of 28 and Im now 44 and it has gotten worse over the years and my skin is now longer responding to the UVB/UVA Photo Therapy. I had my first radiation treatment in May. There is nothing "LOW GRADE" about this cancer!!!
Was it Mycosis Fungoides by any chance?I have that at Stage 2B and yes it's very nasty and led to the amputation of my finger and very nearly my thumb.Nothing except radiation treatments work to stop it and I'm on Interferon Alpha now which as best I can tell isn't working.
HELLO MY FRIEND. MY HUSBAND HAD HIS FIRST CHEMO TODAY. ANND THE DR TOLD ME AFTER CHEMO HI WILL LIVE 10. TO. 15 YEARS. WHAT YOUR DR TOLD YOU ABT LIVING AFTER CHEMO.. HOW YOU FEELING NOW??
Three years after I was diagnosed with Sjorgrens in 2010, I got the low-grade lymphoma in my salivary gland. I needed 17 radiation treatments. Four or five years after my first diagnosis, I got it again in my salivary gland on the right side of my face. I only needed 2 radiation treatments. Now it's 2023, I'm about due for my third lymphoma journey. I'll be 73 years old. I had to get new health insurance, and now I have to pay $394 a month due to this low-grade damn lymphoma. The first time I had the biopsy and went to a cancer doctor, he told me I had the best cancer to have. I don't think any cancer Is the best to have. I've been cursed. Damn Sjorgrens. Everything with my body is very dry. I guess it's better than Lupus.
Pat Burton I'm sorry to hear about your cancer journey but so glad to know you're still with us today. If you don't mind me asking you said you have sjorgrens I know it makes you have dry skin but I noticed you said it makes everything dry. That's happened to me to everything about me is dry I noticed the change inside my ears as well they're super dry in my ear my nose all over. Is the inside of your nose and ears and eyes superdry to. I hope things are going well for you now and I thank you kindly for answering my question. God bless you
@@butterflies1675Yes, it's characterized by eyes and mouth dryness. You can get pain in your joints, itchy skin, and in some cases, it can make other parts of your body dry. If not treated, it can advance and affect other organs and it can also cause lymphoma. To diagnose, you need to consult a rheumatologist; some blood tests and a biopsy of your salivary glands may be done. Hope this info helps.

I have to put pressure on too feel my nodes in neck they have normal characteristics just infection isn’t gone had it for 2 months they’re a little smaller
What about if I have Sjogren’s Syndrome?? I’ve been advised that I’m highly likely to get non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I suffer from night sweats and have no lumps although I have a bright red rash under my left arm that comes and goes? Can I have a blood test to confirm or what should I do?? I also suffer from weak legs and am extremely tired even after about 15 hours sleep. Please reply I would truly appreciate it.
Hi Caz, most people with autoimmune conditions do not develop lymphoma, however some types might increase your chance of developing lymphoma. Whilst the symptoms of lymphoma are general, and can often be caused by other more common conditions, we would suggest speaking to your doctor if you have concerns about new or changing symptoms. A blood test can offer information about general health, however in most cases is not able to diagnose lymphoma. If you would like to read more, you can find our information about the causes of lymphoma here lymphoma-action.org.uk/index.php/about-lymphoma-what-lymphoma/causes-and-risk-factors-lymphoma, and our information about symptoms here lymphoma-action.org.uk/index.php/symptoms-of-lymphoma We send our best wishes to you.
I've been on Prednisone (originally on 60mg) , for nearly 4 years for GCA and PMR I have now tapered down to 2mg . I've found a soft, painless lump, about 2 1/2 inchs in size above my left clavicle and similar lump on the inside of my right ankle. I noticed them about 2 weeks ago. I have no other symptoms. My concern in this time of covid (I'm in Southern California) , is finding someone who can help me. My rheumatologist has referred me to my primary care physician, who is very young and inexperienced. (I belong to an hmo called Kaiser) How do I get this young physician to help me? What kind of questions should I ask her to get help? I am also taking care of my husband who has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and is now on oxygen 24/7. I have no one to talk to.
@@OnPoint88 I still have the lump, but it's very soft and nothing was found on all of my scans. My husband passed away 7 weeks ago. Thank you for your kindness and concern.
@@wayneschenet5340 Thank you Wayne ❤ I've had several scans and tests at kaiser now., and nothing was found They are going to continue to monitor it, but a couple of physicians now just think it's a squishy, fatty lump left over from 4 years of prednisone. (I had a huge bullfrog neck and a Buffalo hump which have now disappeared. )
We're sorry to learn of your health concerns and can appreciate this is likely to be a worrying time. The symptoms of lymphoma are known as general symptoms, that can be linked to different conditions, and can occur for different reasons, and often may be something that isn't of concern - like an infection, for example, and symptoms may settle down over time. It's important though, to get any concerns checked out by a medical proffessional, and we would suggest seeking advice from your doctor. We do hope you will be able to speak with a doctor soon and hope that symptoms settle down for you.

I am really worried. The lymph node on my neck has been swelling for at least 4 months now, and I also had mononucleosis two years ago. Ever since then my health hasn’t been as good and I get tired a lot easily. My doctor did an ultrasound and a blood test. And according to him it is not lymphoma or hypothyroidism. The blood test shows that my blood platelet count and lymphocytes is pretty normal. And the ultrasound shows that my biggest lymph node in the area is only 6mm. But I would like to point out that I am less than 5 ft, so I think that 6mm is relatively big for my body size. I was wondering if I should insist on taking a biopsy even if my doctor said that the result from the blood test and ultrasound indicates that I don’t have lymphoma.
@@69birdboy I did mention it to my doctor, but he doesn’t really listen to me. Doctors here in Canada are usually not the best because of free health care. Everyone goes to the doctor even if it’s nothing serious and they probably think I’m exaggerating my symptoms like a lot of people do. But if it is chronic fatigue syndrome, there really isn’t any cure for it so it’s not like doctors can help with that.
Hi Doctor I have a lymphadenopathy shown by CT scan in bilateral cervical , bilateral axillary and mediastinum . I do not have any symptoms and all organs are good What does it mean?
Hi, sorry to learn that you're concerned about your health, and can appreciate this is likely a worrying time. Hello, Some people only find lumps, not everyone gets all the symptoms of Lymphoma at once. You can find out more about the signs and symptoms here - lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-what-lymphoma/symptoms-lymphoma
Mine is over and under my eyebrow and also have had a hemi thyroid operation, I now have to have the other side as it was carcinoma ,one consultant said the lymphoma was more important and the other one said the thyroid one is more important I'm really upset and worried I have letters saying what the diagnosis is one is right and one is wrong we can't seem to get an explanation
@lymphoma action I have had small knots on both sides of my they get or grow inside some and then they go back down smaller. If I rub my throat the knots will rub together and it sounds like rocks rubbing together. At times they are sore and sometimes painful. Had them for a long time and within the last year I've gotten a lump on the left side of the top of my head which will also grow in size some and then go back down smaller. My doctor just told me it's swollen lymph nodes I'm not so sure. One of the knots in my throat has edges around it. I'm curious if lymphoma follicular lymphoma is only lumps or can it be knots in a person's throat. I do have a lump on the top of the left side of my head that came up last year. So is it only lumps or can it be not too. I'm extremely weak and tired and after I eat I get even weaker. If you could please let me know if it's only lumps or can it be knots to I'd be so appreciative. Anyone that can help me with this I would appreciate it. God bless everyone
Hello - we are sorry to hear of the symptoms you are experiencing and appreciate that this may be a difficult time for you, and it feels understandable that you have questions. Although we are not medically trained and therefore unable to comment on your medical situation, we do know that lymphoma is an individual condition. While a swollen lymph node or nodes is the most common symptom of lymphoma, most people who have swollen lymph nodes do not have lymphoma. Lymph nodes can swell even when working as they should, and they often do this when fighting infection. We have information on the symptoms of lymphoma here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/symptoms-of-lymphoma . We also have information on follicular lymphoma here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/types-lymphoma-non-hodgkin-lymphoma/follicular-lymphoma#symptoms. We know that many people with follicular lymphoma will have few symptoms and some will have none at all. Typically lumps can develop in the neck or just above the collar bone but they can also develop in other places such as armpits or groin. If you are experiencing symptoms which are worrying you, our suggestion would be to have a conversation with your doctor. We send you our best wishes.
Hi, i have 5 enlarged lymph nodes on my right neck ,doctors did FNA for one of the lymph nodes,my question is ,do u think they could have missed out cancer in other 4 nodes which they didn't do biopsy on?? I worried the lumps is growing
Hi Kanageswari. Thank you for your message. If you have any concerns about the lymph nodes in your neck, we would suggest that you talk to your doctors about this. There can be many reasons for swollen lymph nodes, but only a doctor would be able to help further with finding out what is happening for you. Best wishes.
@@dileepjanghela2313 sorry to hear you are experiencing this too, and hope you will feel able to contact your doctor for advice. We send our best wishes to you.
IVE HAD LYMPH AND MONO BLOOD READINGS TOO HIGH FOR OVER 4 YEARS, BUT NO OTHER SYMPTOMS .... FINALLLY AN MRI FOUND SOME ABDOMINAL NODES THAT ARE SWOLLEN RECENTLY... BUT STILL NO OTHER SYMPTOMS. BUT NO OTHER LYMPH NODES ARE SWOLLEN..??... DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE A LOW GRADE LYMPHOMA? OR SOMETHING ELSE??
We are sorry to hear that you have swollen lymph nodes in your abdomen and high blood readings and that this is therefore likely to be a difficult time for you. Most people who have swollen lymph nodes do not have lymphoma -usually swollen lymph nodes are a sign of a less serious illness such as a minor infection. The fact that you were referred for an MRI scan also does not automatically mean that you will receive a lymphoma diagnosis. We are not medically trained so our suggestion would be to have a chat with your doctor. We send you our very best wishes.

Hello Doctor, This was a wonderful video for my questions and medical conditions I am going through ! I hope you could suggest me some best solution. I am 33 years old , I have developed many lumps recently which is quite plainly under my armpit, I have been noticing them since couple of weeks. The changes I observed , sometimes one goes small ( still painful when pressed ) other lump develop in just nearby to the earlier. Some of other issues I’m going through Bloating , allergic to food , spasm , tightness breathing, I am not able to figure out what I am doing wrong ! Is there way I can discuss with you. Is this a temporary inflammation or something to pay attention ⚠️. Is the alarm to report to our medical consultant, if so , what specialist would probably handle such cases. Thank you I’m advance Ashwath

If you are outside of the UK, you may be able to find a lymphoma voluntary organisation in your country via the Lymphoma Coalition (here www.lymphomacoalition.org/members-area ).
Hi. I had pain in my right knee for about a year. I had fallen down stairs and thought I tore my ACL. The pain became unbearable making it very difficult to walk. Saw an orthopedic surgeon who requested get an MRI and X-ray. It showed a big lump inside my knee, not visible because it was so deep. Scan showed large B cell non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Shit, was I surprised. I was in the oncologists office within 2 days and immediately started aggressive chemo treatments for 7 months. I didn't lose my hair, but had all the other chemo symptoms. Still today, am suffering from them. During this I caught COVID, then pneumonia, so I was hospitalized for January of 2022. I'm in remission, but going through long term COVID symptoms. I am receiving antibody infusions to help with the COVID because I've had it 4 times now. Doing 4 rounds of that. Last one is next month. If I ever get a reoccurrence, I'm seriously going to consider chemo, or not. Feel better🙏

Hi! I was wondering how you are doing? I jus turned 24 (been diagnosed since 14) with CTCL and am doing NUVB treatments at the moment
Thank you. This has been very helpful.
Pat Burton
I'm sorry to hear about your cancer journey but so glad to know you're still with us today.
God bless you
hi, please watch Watchman on the Wall 88 on RUclips
@@butterflies1675Yes, it's characterized by eyes and mouth dryness. You can get pain in your joints, itchy skin, and in some cases, it can make other parts of your body dry. If not treated, it can advance and affect other organs and it can also cause lymphoma. To diagnose, you need to consult a rheumatologist; some blood tests and a biopsy of your salivary glands may be done. Hope this info helps.

I've found a soft, painless lump, about
2 1/2 inchs in size above my left clavicle and similar lump on the inside of my right ankle. I noticed them about 2 weeks ago.
I have no other symptoms.
My concern in this time of covid (I'm in Southern California) , is finding someone who can help me. My rheumatologist has referred me to my primary care physician, who is very young and inexperienced. (I belong to an hmo called Kaiser)
How do I get this young physician to help me? What kind of questions should I ask her to get help?
I am also taking care of my husband who has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and is now on oxygen 24/7.
I have no one to talk to.
I hope your and your husband are ok
@@OnPoint88 I still have the lump, but it's very soft and nothing was found on all of my scans.
My husband passed away 7 weeks ago. Thank you for your kindness and concern.

Your Dr at Kaiser can refer you to “The City of Hope”, which have very knowledgeable Oncologists
@@wayneschenet5340 Thank you Wayne ❤ I've had several scans and tests at kaiser now., and nothing was found They are going to continue to monitor it, but a couple of physicians now just think it's a squishy, fatty lump left over from 4 years of prednisone. (I had a huge bullfrog neck and a Buffalo hump which have now disappeared. )
I really believe I have some sort of lymphoma issues. I have so many symptoms, but yet I can't find anyone to help
I have just been diagnosed at 38 and doctors said usually it happens at 60-70

Hi , Just wanted to spread the word that there are many families who have suffered with NHL due to carcinogenic product's and are entitled for a significant compensation , just let me know if you are intreasted to know more ..
Biopsy.
Have you been assessed for chronic fatigue syndrome?
@@69birdboy I did mention it to my doctor, but he doesn’t really listen to me. Doctors here in Canada are usually not the best because of free health care. Everyone goes to the doctor even if it’s nothing serious and they probably think I’m exaggerating my symptoms like a lot of people do.
But if it is chronic fatigue syndrome, there really isn’t any cure for it so it’s not like doctors can help with that.
Only a biopsy is 100 % test for lymphoma!

Hi, sorry to learn that you're concerned about your health, and can appreciate this is likely a worrying time. As we're not medically trained, we would suggest speaking with a doctor about your concerns as soon as possible, for advice. The symptoms of lymphoma are more commonly linked to other, less serious conditions, but we'd suggest just checking this with them. We send our best wishes to you.
The only thing she found was lumps? Did she feel the usual symptoms like night sweats, fever, extreme fatigue, etc??
Hello,
Some people only find lumps, not everyone gets all the symptoms of Lymphoma at once. You can find out more about the signs and symptoms here - lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-what-lymphoma/symptoms-lymphoma
I have had night sweats and extreme fatigue
HOW MANY YEARS YOU LIVE AFTER CHEMO. WITH LOW GRADE LYMPHOMA????
Mine is over and under my eyebrow and also have had a hemi thyroid operation, I now have to have the other side as it was carcinoma ,one consultant said the lymphoma was more important and the other one said the thyroid one is more important I'm really upset and worried I have letters saying what the diagnosis is one is right and one is wrong we can't seem to get an explanation
@lymphoma action
I have had small knots on both sides of my they get or grow inside some and then they go back down smaller.

Our website www.lymphoma-action.org.uk has a lot of information about lymphoma on it, including this page lymphoma-action.org.uk/types-lymphoma-non-hodgkin-lymphoma/splenic-marginal-zone-lymphoma - about lymphoma in the spleen. We are however a UK based charity, and although I do not know of any Bangladeshi organisations that might be able to help you, maybe you could have a look at vcarecancer.org/ who operate in India and might be able to give you some more information relevant to your part of the world.

Can anyone tell me, what is the lumps like? Is a lump that is small (invisible) and moveable in many parts of the body considered cancer?
Hi, thanks for your message. There are many reasons by lymph nodes may become swollen, and are more commonly linked with other less serious conditions. Does a pet scan show low grade non hodgkin's? I have all the symptoms of nhl but pet scan came back clear. I'm so confused! !
Hello
PET scans can help doctors identify areas in the body, where there may be ‘hot spots’, that could be disease, such as cancerous cells. You can read more about PET scans here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-tests-diagnosis-and-staging/scans-x-ray-ct-pet-and-mri
If you are continuing to experience symptoms, we would encourage you to discuss this with your medical team.

This seems to be more common with older people? How about those who took the polio "sugar cube". They are at higher risk. What's worse, they knew this was a potential from the R. monkey cells used.

Some of other issues I’m going through
Bloating , allergic to food , spasm , tightness breathing, I am not able to figure out what I am doing wrong ! Is there way I can discuss with you.
Is this a temporary inflammation or something to pay attention ⚠️.
Is the alarm to report to our medical consultant, if so , what specialist would probably handle such cases.

What is the cost of low graded lymphoma treatment cost in India??

Red man syndrome typically is a reaction to vancomycin an antibiotic
Red Man Syndrome is a nickname for a very serious Lymphoma called Sezery's Syndrome also called SS.It is possibly a leukemic form of another lymphoma called Mycosis Fungoides but nobody really knows. Both of these ailments are types of Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma and MF starts as an indolent Lymphoma and if you are lucky stays that way but in about 30 percent of cases it progresses to Stage 2b and beyond forming tumours and skin infections are common. Both MF and SS make the skin go red hence the nickname.
