I would definitely live there! I honestly find smaller places like this to be more cozy than a bigger house. One good thing about smaller places is that all the rooms are nearby so it's more convenient getting from one room to the other whereas in a bigger place it can be a long walk from the living room to the bathroom lol. I used to think like everyone else that I needed to get a regular house but honestly I think all I need is just a tiny home like this one. Sometimes less is more imo.
This is all true that cozy feel. Less cleaning it ain't so bad.

Depending on your time/situation in life, this could be the answer to many prayers for some people. In today's economy for the young, it's great for starters, and maybe for retired people. I could live here, but I would need a small storage shed too lol.
2 sheds are still cheaper, so sure. I know what you mean. Interest rates just keep going up.
Or a series of sheds, like living in one, crafting/seeing in another. Processing and canning in another with basic food storage.

Tbh, depending on how big your mobile home is and how much you paid for it, you probably saved money and time buying one of those instead.. Everything is already built and ready to go in a mobile home. Most of the time with these sheds, you have to either hire someone to build everything or do it yourself. Most of them are just a shell. I’m assuming there are some companies in other parts of the country that will build everything on the inside and sell them. But I can imagine they probably cost about as much as a mobile home at that point. We have a 12x40 and are building everything on our own. It can be very frustrating and expensive at times. But eventually it will all be paid for and finished and that’s what we’re looking forward to. It even harder when you have kids to provide for on top of that. Though I love our tiny home and I’m grateful for a husband who knows how to literally do EVERYTHING, sometimes I wish we would have just went with a mobile home instead.

Hell yeah. My husband and I been trying to find out how to go about all of this now that it’s just he and I. I said well, we can just buy a much smaller home. Not in this market!! He replied. I couldn’t disagree, especially in the state we live in. It’s even more than most. But we’d love to do the tiny house thing- we just don’t have a clue where to start.
Decide what type of tiny home, find a contractor and show him your plans or ideas. Or look for a tiny home community.

how long do tiny shed houses last ?
@@user-kp6fp8ty9t I’ve only been living in mine full time for about a year and a half an I’ve not had any problems. I think if you build it out right and actually take care of it like you would any other it would last a long time. We have actually built on another 12x40 to ours in the back. That gave us a total of 1,100 sq feet. We couldn’t be any happier with our decision

Maybe shed houses are cheaper, but these built-from-scratch tiny homes are INCREDIBLY expensive on a $ per sq. ft. basis. Plus you have to own or rent land.
We just bought a cabin to convert into a tiny house on our hunting club and I can’t wait

I could.. and I do lol ours is 12x40 shed and we can fit 2 adults and 3 tweens/teens. Of course my oldest who is 15, usually stays with his dad and spends all his time with his gf now days. So it’s mostly just the 4 of us. But we make it work! What a lot of people who see these homes don’t realize is that just bc they are smaller doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to end up saving a ton of money.. I mean, yes, you will save some. And it will be paid for once you’re done, but if you’re like us and building everything on your own, just be prepared to spend some money. Eventually we plan to buy another smaller one to connect and turn it into full size rooms for our daughters. Having said all of that, I do love living in a tiny home 😁

I’m getting one delivered in 3 weeks, fyi most of the sellers and builders don’t do electrical work properly so just get the skeleton yourself and spend 3k in spray foam electrical plumbing and drywall so you can probably do it yourself.

The acoustics are terrible. It’s super thin even if insulated properly. Best for locations that are isolated, or quaint rather than in trailer parks, or near busy traffic routes.

This at my age would be heaven. You work all your life, then get forced to retire because of your health, it's smaller so easier to keep clean, añd honestly, much better than beiñg in a home if you can afford lot rent. Iteañs indepent for someone my age, but zaning makes it all but impossible...
