My next TINY HOME is FINISHED! A 12x24 (288 sq ft) Shed renovation, It was in BAD shape at the start. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/Ru6oApi-Xx4/видео.html
This is a beautiful home. I could live in it very happily indeed! Maybe with just one small add on room for spare bed/sewing machine etc/wardrobe. You are very talented and I look forward to watching more of your videos. 🤗
Jaded person here. Once most people realize this is an affordable way of housing, the companies will jack the prices up. So sad. You did a marvelous job.
I don't think that's jaded honestly. Look at tiny home living, companies charging 80k-300k for tiny homes, smaller than ~800 sqft when you can get a full sized home for cheaper. Pretty impressed though with this guys home, definitely looks nice overall and something I could find myself living in honestly just a shame I don't have the time (or help) like he did to make it more affordable to get started/finish up.
Exactly they're currently trying to find ways to make housing like these more accessable... I grew up in a single wide 12x75ft trailer, honestly brand new "mobile homes" are ridiculously over priced for no real reason... mass production makes it all so much less expensive for the manufacturer...
I disagree. The only thing you're really sourcing is a framed structure. There's still a lot of work to put in. Hardly qualifies as a pre fabricated home. You're bypassing a very small portion of the entire home building process (the framing).
This is how young people just starting out can leverage their way into home ownership. I am building a tinyhouse on wheels (my 3rd one) with my 16 year old son and teaching him all the steps from framing, insulation, electrical, plumbing, gas lines, and finish work. He will carry that knowledge with him throughout his life and it will serve him well throughout his life.
The best teachers are their parents that showed with love how to do things and create a home of their own sometime in the future. Good concept to provide to the public since younger generations are not being taught what is important in life and how to acquire the things they need. So thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Please start a RUclips channel so we can learn along with you. So many young men don't have father's to teach them trades. I've watched this video a few times over the last couple of years, and every time I watch it it makes me want to have a place like that some day. Maybe as a vacation house and or a retirement home up in the mountains or back in the woods somewhere, just me the wife and my dog, no neighbors, and miles from anyone.👍👍👍
People keep referring to this shed home as a tiny home, however, at 800 sq. ft. it's bigger than many two-bedroom apartments. By not breaking it up into many rooms, I see that you have not only a nice entertaining space but a really nice-sized master bedroom.
Yeah, I was about to comment to say the same thing! 800 square feet is a *small* home, but certainly not "tiny." And 16 x 50 is the footprint of the structure, so the 800 SF isn't even counting the loft space!
@@Bike_Lion In Powell, Wyoming, one of our cousins has a shed home similar to yours. We visited her this summer and were impressed with what a nice home her kids built for her. The area above the living and kitchen is lofted and they used metal siding for the ceiling. The area over the dining (front door) and the bedroom and bath are storage. It looks really nice.
My 1950s rancher is 950 ft2 and is 3 bedrooms. Every room is miniscule. Two of the bedrooms can only have a twin bed or bunk beds. The master can only have a queen size, but then room for one dresser. The bathroom has floor space for one human to stand. So, yeah. Historic houses are pretty small.
It's only 100 sq. ft. smaller than my first house and I was living there with two other people (girlfriend and a roommate). 800 sq ft for one person is definitely roomier than 900÷3.
I would love something like this where I live. But the issue is that I'm told I am required to have it on wheels. I really don't think that's financially feasible to do.

Love the ceiling fan and the green shower tile. After hearing your calming voice and refined humble narration throughout the video, I got a better idea of who you might be when I saw the musical instruments in your bedroom. You’ve made a nice home for yourself. Happy for you. Have a great life!
Color consultant here, paint the outside trim to match the white of your windows and doors. Makes them look more substantial and cohesive to the home. Dark colors absorb heat. Lighten up the outdoor color
That’s exactly what I want.. We just have so much empty space to heat and cool in our homes that we don’t even use.. This is just amazingly perfect.. Well done my friend
This is a nice balance between what we call regular homes and the tiny home. Not everyone is going to be a completely diy-er living in an off grid house they built with their bare hands. This is a good alternative for people.
The pocket door idea is an item I think regular homes should integrate. Much more practical and doesn’t take “swinging” space. Especially for bathrooms and closets.
Beautifully done man! I live in a MUCH smaller apartment and Im paying over 700 dollars a month! I been seriously considering getting one of these and your video inspires me! Im thinking about getting me one sometime soon!
Same friend. I'm looking at some cheap land couple hours away from where I am, and just starting. I'll probably have to build it, but I don't think I'll mind. Keep the dream alive!
I love the way you’ve sectioned the house up. Having the shower room separated from the bathroom is so awesome. And having it right by the bedroom is perfect.
The machine used at the positioning on the pad part is called a “ mule”. It’s really an amazing tool. They used one when delivering my shed and the guy was so incredibly skilled with it he got my shed perfectly positioned between two beautiful trees we wanted saved.❤️
I watch a man use a mule to place a mobile home on my neighbors property. It was operated by remote control too! He navigated the home up a narrow driveway with great skill.
I bet when the trees and grass are at their best, this house blends in so nicely. He can enjoy the green now, then when it’s time to touch up, go with black. My momma has a little mobile home she retired in, it’s just adorable. When she purchased it around 2007 it had cranberry colored shutters. She had a beautiful big deck attached. Over the years the deck faded, and the Duncanville filled the shutters that are some kind of vinyl. We came thru and painted the shutters and trim black, and the deck pure white. It looks like a little cottage out of a magazine, just beautiful. The design of her home has never looked like the typical, pitch down the middle of the roof home to start with, it’s really pretty. And I love that with the land and the cost of her home, her monthly out of pocket expense is a little under $300. She spends more on cigarettes 🚬 😣 then her home per month. That’s including utilities!
I absolutely LOVE that you separated the shower! Not only did it look really nice but I always hate having a toilet in the place I am supposed to be getting clean haha
Thanks to our well-run economy, I'm sure a lot of people would love to do this. I hope to God they stay affordable.... I would love to put one of these on our lot for my mom and dad. They are getting to where they need some assistance and this will be perfect.
Lovely little house. Perfect sized for a single person, or a couple, to live happily. You're lucky you seem to have awesome parents with a lot of property, that seemed to help you with this project a lot. Cherish them!
I’m thinking you’re blessed 😇 by god because of your parents who own the property you got to put and build your tiny house on all with all the guitars 🎸 you must have amazing musical talents god gave you and you could even enlarge your porch to make it have porch swings and chairs and tables and barbecue and they even sell tiny hot tubs so you could put and inclose part of area to be privacy and then have the porch swings on porch you have now open space you can do some cool things still you don’t have to pay for rent your parents owns the property you live on 👍😇👏👼🇺🇸🎸💯🙏✨✝️✝️✡️🇺🇸🙏✝️
The music was mesmerizing. Felt like I was watching and listening to ASMR. Your home came out so comfy looking and peaceful. I really like the pocket doors. GREAT JOB!!! 👍👍
I love that the door to the bedroom is missing the top trim piece. As someone who remodeled their home, I fully relate. Once you move in, it is so hard to finish the cosmetic last touches.
honestly, with the current housing market, cost of 'new homes'. These little cottage homes are a great option. You can get 16x50 or 800 square foot fully finished, with heater, washer, dryer, full kitchen, etc, for around 118k 2 bedroom, + loft. Where you don't need to do anything to them. so for 2 bedroom for under 120k new... turn key... the options are there for lower income families to actually get homes. On the flip side, this one always kind of bugs me. The bambi, 12x20, bathroom with shower, studio set up, kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge. about 35k total. Think about that with homeless... IF cities wanted to allow it... 35k +5-9k for land. cities could set up zones for little homes like this, and work with special financing. now elderly, singles... could get a home and the payments on a 40k total home?
@@ratherbfishing455 On 45k (so 35k +10k land which is overkill for a 10x20) 30-year fixed mortgage with a 3.5% interest rate, you would be looking at a $162 monthly payment. honestly, 162 a month + homeowners insurance+power... your likely to be able to cover that with "housing allowance" in most area's on unemployment or disability.
@@ratherbfishing455 in many towns and cities they have "lots" for sale for 4-9k each. The humor being, you could put 2 small or 1 large unit on a plot that size. And property tax on a 35-45k unit on a 5-10k plot... is cheep. and again, the small ones, well insulated, are really for 1 person or a couple. power usage on them is much lower then a full house since there is much less space to heat/cool. yes, some area's are well overpriced, but this would be an option for low income .
Love this video. So easy to watch, soothing music low enough to hear the dialogue easily. I enjoy watching you fixing your home up just the way you want it. So admirable.
What a great shed home. I love the large front room, and the shower room. The use of pocket doors in many places is a great space saver. Might want to look into some window coverings for warmth. Great job. You're so lucky your parents have a big enough property to have you there. A ten minutes walk away!! That's a big property. Enjoy, you've got a beautiful accomplishment under your (contractor) belt. Congratulations 🎉
Nice build over all but I do have to question a few things. The toilet choice makes me think this home doesn't have proper septic to it which in many areas would prevent it from being a legal permanent dwelling. And I also have to question if the ceiling meets proper coding for a permanent housing. Between the two things I have to question if proper permitting was done on it. Next is a minor complaint but is a legitimate one IMO. Your washer/dryer combination unit is going to be near impossible to get out of the space or even do maintenance on due to the L shaped room it is in. You would also have to remove the racks mounted on the walls to even get it out of the space. Assuming of course you can even reach the power and vent duck to disconnect so it can be pulled out.
In my area they build sheds pretty big that cost 7k CAD so if I buy 2 and connect them together I get a big house in no time. We also have pretty big rural lots for less.so building and living rural is still pretty cheap option. About legality .in such rural places people fr the municipalities act like family and nothing is so strict . Last summer went to visit a few properties and everything looked very promising . I have a house in the woods completely legal connected toward a good municipality and have almost the rural feel life but I also want to buy very rural property with a cabin for firewood
I like the location of the kitchen with this design. Usually people just put a table and chairs in that spot, which looks cramped. I think you made much better use of the space.
Than where do you eat your meals? At the computer desk? Does he sit at the writing desk, and his wife sit at the computer desk? ... No a lot of thought went into it. There are some glaring omissions here... But, it IS a work in progress, after all. (Perhaps A side deck off the sliding glass door for dining?)
@@rickcoona what's wrong with eating at a desk? It's still a table and chair. I don't think a formal dining table is necessary at all. But they totally have room to put a fold out table in the middle of the room if they wanted it. Just saying, I rather have space to make the food and stand to eat than no kitchen with a place to eat the food.
Omg this shed to tiny home is awesome looks fantastic, I just got my shed and making me a tiny house I'm so excited I'm working on getting the power on but my county as a lot of rules!!
tiny homes are on wheels for tax and permit relief. This is permanent land improvement subject to building permits and property tax for the value of the residence on the land.

We bought a 40’ x 11’ log cabin and added front porch and then 40’x8’ addition for a 2 bdrm1 1/2 bath. It’s a great vacation home for us and our family. Your home reminds me if it, set in the woods. Enjoy,
I’ve been living on a super budget ever since paying off my cars etc.. I will never go into a car payment or mortgage again if I can avoid it. This home is perfect for a couple or small family to live and enjoy. Far too many people want to emulate “Hollyweird “ and purchase homes that are waaay to large and waste needed space. My family have been living in a nice mid size to large log cabin and we save about $2000 a month on expenses. Excellent home you have here. It was a pleasure watching! 🤠
couldnt agree more, I only wish this realization had hit before I lost everything in 2020. I've got a cheap car thats paid off now, and looking to move to a cheaper place once my lease is up. Just saving all I can so I can buy a small place outright. no bills = dreamland!
@@bdb1052 you will be thankful that you made the decision to live frugally. It pays off in so many ways. For example .. No debt, no debt collectors calling, no unnecessary bills piling up. Just freedom to live well below your means. 🤠👍🏼
I'm a huge liver of craftsmanship and I would have to say you did a beautiful job. My heart aches to participate in this field of tiny homes, as well as carpentry and construction. Great job!
If anyone else builds a tiny home, try and keep water lines to inside walls, bathroom and washer backs up to kitchen wall where sink is. No lines on outside walls.

That's bad choice of music/sound, I sounds like something terrible is going to happen. Also the narrator's tone is grim. It should be happy thing, right?
It's nice, but I wouldn't call it a *tiny* house. The house's footprint is 16 x 50 feet, or 800 square feet, which is larger than many two bedroom apartments, and that square footage isn't even counting the loft space. It's a *small* house, to be sure, but not really tiny. "Tiny" I would consider 400 SF or less, maybe 500 at the most!
I would love to live in that area with all the Peace and Quiet, Nothing but nature! I also would love for my family to come visit me 3 times every other Month, But definitely on Holidays 😀👍🏾👍🏾

This is a nice balance between what we call regular homes and the tiny home. Not everyone is going to be a completely diy-er living in an off grid house they built with their bare hands. This is a good alternative for people.
The tile work in the shower is amazing
The pocket door idea is an item I think regular homes should integrate. Much more practical and doesn’t take “swinging” space. Especially for bathrooms and closets.
Beautifully done man! I live in a MUCH smaller apartment and Im paying over 700 dollars a month! I been seriously considering getting one of these and your video inspires me! Im thinking about getting me one sometime soon!
Awesome man, good luck! It'll be worth it! ✌♥️
DO IT! JUST GO FOR IT! IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Same friend. I'm looking at some cheap land couple hours away from where I am, and just starting. I'll probably have to build it, but I don't think I'll mind.

@@geod3589 dude was sick with the sticks
I always wondered how they got te homes in position. It was cool watching it.
ABSELUTELY BEAUTIFUL ❤
For what it's worth I like the green trim.
I don’t normally like green but it’s very...mossy. Good choice imo.
So do I.
The porch railings need to be green also to tie it all together.
@@CarrieJo5916 Agreed.
I absolutely LOVE that you separated the shower! Not only did it look really nice but I always hate having a toilet in the place I am supposed to be getting clean haha
Also nifty if a friend or partner's over, and one person's showering and the other needs to use the toilet. Agree that was a very slick design choice.
@@thecognitiverambler8911 Oh I didn't even think of that advantage! Yeah good point
What happens if you want to poop before the shower?
@@wrenchrat Then you... go poop in the toilet. I'm sorry I don't think I understand the question.
Its a home that has all the necessities that's a good way to live and it's a cheaper way to live
Thanks to our well-run economy, I'm sure a lot of people would love to do this.
I hope to God they stay affordable.... I would love to put one of these on our lot for my mom and dad. They are getting to where they need some assistance and this will be perfect.
I Love the property and how the home is tucked away in a beautiful space, one with nature!
Very beautiful home!❤
Ive been a carpenter and contractor for 50 years it took you a long time but Kudos to you
Lovely little house. Perfect sized for a single person, or a couple, to live happily. You're lucky you seem to have awesome parents with a lot of property, that seemed to help you with this project a lot. Cherish them!
That's a big leg up
I’m thinking you’re blessed 😇 by god because of your parents who own the property you got to put and build your tiny house on all with all the guitars 🎸 you must have amazing musical talents god gave you and you could even enlarge your porch to make it have porch swings and chairs and tables and barbecue and they even sell tiny hot tubs so you could put and inclose part of area to be privacy and then have the porch swings on porch you have now open space you can do some cool things still you don’t have to pay for rent your parents owns the property you live on 👍😇👏👼🇺🇸🎸💯🙏✨✝️✝️✡️🇺🇸🙏✝️

The music was mesmerizing. Felt like I was watching and listening to ASMR. Your home came out so comfy looking and peaceful. I really like the pocket doors. GREAT JOB!!! 👍👍
It is obvious that you knwee what you were doing throughout the build. Thank you for sharing the possibilities of a tiny house from a shed.
I love that the door to the bedroom is missing the top trim piece. As someone who remodeled their home, I fully relate. Once you move in, it is so hard to finish the cosmetic last touches.
I would love living off grid someday. I see so many people's doing it. I would love being away from the public eye. Good job on the remodeling 👍👍👍.
Your house is real nice
The way you built the house is so professional that the house can be moved very easily
Your home is beautiful and I love that there's no traffic or loud noises just a peaceful area. Great job !
Absolutely beautiful! This is really a perfect sized home, not to large, not to small!
So beautiful! Practical and spacious too! 😍 It's wonderful that you knew how to do all of that!
honestly, with the current housing market, cost of 'new homes'.
How long will it last?
How long will it last. Will it be like a mobile home and need a lot of repairs.
@@ratherbfishing455
On 45k (so 35k +10k land which is overkill for a 10x20) 30-year fixed mortgage with a 3.5% interest rate, you would be looking at a $162 monthly payment.
honestly, 162 a month + homeowners insurance+power... your likely to be able to cover that with "housing allowance" in most area's on unemployment or disability.
@@jenniferstewarts4851 Damn it must be nice to live in the states... Ontario Canada, 1/4 acre outside my town (in the middle of no where), $300,000!
You are so blessed with the talent to be able to build your own home. May GOD bless your home and his spirit abides in your home always!
I like this shed
Absolutely fantastic video. This is exactly how i want to live
Love this video. So easy to watch, soothing music low enough to hear the dialogue easily. I enjoy watching you fixing your home up just the way you want it. So admirable.
Beautiful finish. I laughed when I saw the Roomba rolling around on the floor.
I love the whole layout I would want a place exactly like that nothing changed. Genius I love that. I'm now a fan.❤
Beautiful. And amazing. Though tiny? Not! Congratulations. Impressive !!!
Omg this shed to tiny home is awesome looks fantastic, I just got my shed and making me a tiny house I'm so excited I'm working on getting the power on but my county as a lot of rules!!
Good luck! It's a lot of work but it's totally worth it!
tiny homes are on wheels for tax and permit relief. This is permanent land improvement subject to building permits and property tax for the value of the residence on the land.
I love it especially the shower and two lofts that’s really a bonus. !!

Now this is my kind of tiny house. No feeling of being cramped. I've seen a lot of tiny home videos and this one is definitely my favorite. Good job.
@D12 Raging An 800 sq. ft. shed is a tiny home when you think about it.

Then get a second one for party events or guests if you got extra scratch like that. Ya know?
@@bdb1052 you will be thankful that you made the decision to live frugally. It pays off in so many ways. For example .. Sure you and I don’t drive the newest “look at me “ car of the bunch and don’t own a 3000sq foot home but as long as our needs are met and you acquire that piece of mind knowing that all that extra money is going into savings it’s a freedom like nothing else. No debt, no debt collectors calling, no unnecessary bills piling up. Just freedom to live well below your means. 🤠👍🏼

If anyone else builds a tiny home, try and keep water lines to inside walls, bathroom and washer backs up to kitchen wall where sink is. No lines on outside walls.
I love the green it ties the house into the surrounding scenery.

I have been dreaming of this style of tiny house project for nearly a decade now. It's lovely seeing someone making it happen. Excellent work. Well done! P.S. Love the style and taste in basses!!! 😎🤙🏻
