Towards the Transcendent: St. Damian of Molokai and the Eucharist

In this episode of "Towards the Transcendent", Fr Luke DeMasi, Servant Priest of the Home of the Mother, reminds us, with the life of St Damian of Molokai, that the true and only source of all apostolate is the Eucharist.
Fr. Damian went voluntarily to Molokai out of love for the souls of the lepers. Nobody wanted to get close to them out of fear of being contaminated. But this priest, concerned for the spiritual life of these sick persons, assisted them to the point of giving up his own life. He drew his strength from a firm belief that the Eucharist is Jesus, the Son of God, who is present and alive.
