This channel has evolved to a superior american car documentary channel. Thanks.
Wow! Thank you for the compliment 👊 Gotta credit the team for the growth of the content being created
What a georgeous car - the painted bumpers and the gunmetal really make the car. An excellent example of a re-imagined 1960 Belair which still stays true to its roots
I agree Richard
Painted bumpers are not my thing. Would prefer original chrome or gunmetal to match the rest of the trim. We all have our preferences.
Great comment. I love this build especially after driving it
@@AutotopiaLA the car is a beautiful ride I like the front end with those lights and spoiler but with they would kept the original taillights but those don't look to bad and that's perfect power for a cruiser
@@AutotopiaLA Hay Shawn I would love to see you on a Saturday morning program on TV, has anyone ever talked to you about that,?
Love every kind of car in anyway so long as someone is enjoying it and making it part of them. Cars are like moods change them anytime any way. Just don’t get hurt or killed. Safety and respect. I have a car for every day of the week and a spare for the one having a bad day. I’m not rich just great at glueing rust together and driving it. 50 now and still driving my c10 to work. 30 years with the same truck and wife. She said there’s just something about a pickup man. She turns 50 today for her b-day she wanted to go racing. So I told a big one I am rich I just don’t have money!!!!!! Good day love your show and opinions
Awesome comment and congrats on 30 years of the truck and a successful marriage…you are rich my friend!!
They did a nice job on that car. My mom had a 59 Chevy 2-door 348 in it. I love that car wish I still had it.
How are you doing
This cars build quality is immaculate. While not particularly what id do, timeless killed it. Loved this vid.
Thanks Ian! I really like this one a lot. Not typically my style but this one…absolutely love it!
Probably one of the hardest cars to do a exhaust on with a stock frame and lowered props to him for taking it out the back
Yep. They just don’t let anything slide at TK
Oh wow, nice!!!!! 😍👍
Such a killer ride
Pops ride he had a blue Bel Air with 6 tail lights. As a kid I had to clean the white wall tires I used Brillo lol. We went to the drive-in movies with this car all the time. Thanks for sharing. 😎🇺🇸✌🏽
Glad you liked it. I really like this one a lot
Great car...light front end custom balanced by light rear end custom...small details...subtlety that speaks volumes. To each their own...i'd have maybe done a classic engine twisted up, like a 348 with FI, but can't go wrong with modern too. No doubt the owner is a very happy guy
I know what you mean on old school engine choice but I do love the reliability and ease of the LT1
This car is spot on...everything's perfect!!
Totally agree with you
Those old school cars pre 80s had so much character!
No doubt. A whole different time in automotive design
As a fellow old man, I hugely appreciate the quiet exhaust on this one. Normally I almost dread the driving half of these videos as I turn the volume way down.
Very cool way to do a car with sentimental value; modern power and suspension in an honest car you can take out and enjoy. Absolutely love the spirit of this car and would love to do the same to my grandfather's car someday.
Quiet exhaust ???..
Might as well drive an ev car then.
Nothing better than a vehicle that makes a good cruise. Safe driving in style is way cooler than driving fast and crashing.
Believe me when I say I agree all the way
So simple but so outrageous at the same time, that’s wild 🔥🔥🔥 very tasteful build. Honestly the best I’ve seen so far
Over the top yet still subtle. Truly an exceptional build
Thank you Shawn and Jason. Compliments to you both. Love the BelAir.
Really nicely built car that is done with restraint really tasteful and the fact that they have a formula for some of the key components in all their builds is very well thought out, if it works you stick with, great car! The exhaust note after the re-engineering sounds much raspier and a fuller tone. It’s the fine tuning once your cars done that makes all the difference keep up the great work Shawn!
Amazing build, all around.
It really is
Such a beautiful car! Absolutely love this thing.
Beautiful cruiser, nice build, love that paint job!
Nice Ride! The color combination works!!
Good Morning Shawn,
I look forward to watching your video’s on a second screen while I am sitting at work. I especially liked this video as I am building a car based on the same principles. This time I want to make a nice driver that I can take on the Hot Rod Power Tour or even the Good Guys Road Tour. No crazy body mods, no crazy motors and heck I am even putting an automatic transmission in this one. I want something that I can just get in and drive and not worry about things failing. With that being said I really enjoy seeing this build and I do like the exhaust being just a little quieter especially since we know this car is going to be driven.
Sincerely, Marty-MJ AKA 2nd Chance Camaro ( yes it has a bike rack on the side )
In love with this build! What a cool color combo.
Same for me. Absolutely love the color combo
Very cool car because you can actually drive it! Top notch builders right here just wicked! And yes lovin the color. Fits the car. Thanks for vid my man!
Thats minding blowing!! Freaking rad rig! Outstanding
Absolutely Positively Beautiful Car,and for the brakes I’d Definitely like a power booster. Anybody who’s owned any of the bigger/wider rides know that there’s a lot of metal to slow down. And I’m Ole’School all the way,but I’m also 51 years old and since they’ve got the high tech powered brakes then I’d have to recommend installing them on this Beautiful 1960 Chevy Bel Air. Like a motor sometimes you can’t have to much power, thus the reason I’d go with power brakes as it’s a lot of car to stop and as Beautiful as it is I’d hate to see anything happen to it. There’s a lot of folk’s out there that darn near wreck you while they are looking 👀 at these beautiful rides. As for the Body/Paint She’s Absolutely Positively Beautiful & I’d Definitely 💯 Love To Own Such A Beauty. Thanks again, for sharing this with us we enjoy seeing all of these Beautiful cars and trucks as well. 💯👍🏻💯🇺🇸💯
Thanks for the comment here and I get it. As much as I love manual brakes it’s probably better to have some assist with a big heavy ride like this one
Its the actual brakes on each axle that do the stoping ,, not the booster ,,, I built a pick up a few years ago, installed a power brake system ,, driving it and pushing the brakes, they were soft , soft ,soft, then locked up ,zero pedal feel ... took of the booster , and the pedal felt great ,, and you could lock um up easily ,, it felt CORRECT and precise control could be felt while driving,,,,
Beautiful ride 🤘🏼
What a well-executed restomod. I would not have done it this way myself but its appeal is undeniable and the interior is a great blend of modern material but looks totally appropriate. The Bonneville taillights are the cherry on top. What a wonderful cruiser!
I LOVE the matte gray trim, instead of chrome. 🥵🥵. Looks so good! That body color is amazing!
I haven't even watched the entire video and I love this car already!
Like it even more after watching it all the way through.
It’s such a killer build! Man I dig this car
This is beautiful, the color combination is exceptional
Love the car hate the color.
I love the color. Seems like a love/hate for some but I think it’s really cool
He nailed the color 😍
🤮
Seems to be a love/hate thing. I love the color
This thing is sooooooo sweet! I wish it wasn’t yellow, but other than that, just wow.
Not usually a color I like but it fits on a 1960 Bel Air. Very nice car.
Believe It or Not Gold was a color a lot of cars came in throughout the 50's,60's and even the 70s.And I agree with you was never much of a fan of the color but this is one I actually do like👍
Nope, the color just isn’t my thing.
It wouldn’t be my thing either but it just fits this car imo
You always find the best cars, perfect cruiser 👍❤️
It really is a perfect cruiser with plenty of power to have fun
gorgeous build, a lot of thought went in this custom build. great job
I really like this one from TK. Perfect cruiser that still has plenty of power for some fun
Stunning!!!
Another slick rig🤩
Definitely a cool one
Color choice actually works really well with that body style. Very nice job.
Super super super cool build!! Love it!!
Same for me. Absolutely love this one!
Absolutely gorgeous.
Shawn the Right Man for this Job & he Honest.! He didnt hot rod or Raw Hide this Man’s Car..😎
Nice Chevy 👍👍
That’s a badass right there. Such a fun car to drive
Awesome looking car! The color is very unique, but I think it would look amazing in fire engine red! As always, your videos are spot on awesome!
Maaan so amazed watching this thank you autotopia
Beautiful ride
Siiiiiccckkkk !! Love the colors like you said "would I have a car in this color" I dont know but still admire it
Unreal! Jason saying stuff like it's mostly stock with bolt on's and I am like OMFG that is so freaking custom looking I would be scared to drive it.
Right?! Jason goes so much further with most of his builds so this one seems mild to him lol! Great build
Love love love the colour……very cool!
Top notch Chevy Bel Air built by timeless kustomes ..... beautiful 😍😍 well done buddy 😎🤠🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸
The gun metal trim and rims look sweet. Very clean I like that front end
Yeah, it’s just such a cool car. Some people don’t like the color but I love it on this
@AutotopiaLA well color grew on me. It really shows off the grey and the lines. It's pretty cool you can find all these cars to review. Channel has become my go to for car entertainment and just good presentations
That is beautifully built well done that man .keep well guys ..love the wheels on this .
It’s such a great build
The color reminds me of a gold top Gibson Les Paul , I dig it!
Yes!! Perfect comparison of colors!
I love the taillight lenses on this car. Go Pontiac!! Wonderful restomod!! Exhaust note change is just right!!
Yeah, they nailed it on this one
Carro perfeito! Muito bem restaurado.
Sweet ride for sure Crisp body nice color. I tell ya you guys really do make this channel awesome.
Thank you. It’s such a beautiful build
Wow shawn, that is an awesome car! Great work!
Isn’t that thing bitchin!? Really love this build
That’s a beautiful car
I agree with you on the color Shawn. Perfect as is. Any deviation and it could have gone horribly wrong LOL.
I love those Pontiac tail lights! I put 62 Buick Le Sabre lights on my 62 Impala.
Awesome! The choice for tail lights was slick
Love the new shooting/editing style
Thanks for noticing. Always trying to make our content better here
I actually preferred the old format
It seemed more real
Like i was actually there with you guys
Color matches the terrain, what's it called Agriculture Yellow with a Green tint, I'm joking of course but it seems to really fit in with it's seasonal surroundings,
The brakes I don't know... did it stop,
Power assist or not whatever you and the builder decide, no overcrowding the powerplant, the clean look and less maintenance with huge drilled and slotted rotors and grabby pads works well,
Sound is doable especially when you're wanting to roll in stealth mode, plus you can listen to some chill music on low volume and save your ears on those long trips without getting that ringing ear headache from cranking the stereo, and it isn't a Cop magnet, who needs that when out all alone on the hwy just you and Johnny Law out to make his quota,
The engine is Kickass and it probably gets good mileage!
All in all... Hell yeah!!! 🇺🇸👍😉👍
It is a great build. One of my favorites from TK
Great car and build
Simply amazing car!!!
No question about it
@@AutotopiaLA you have the best fun ever getting to drive these beautiful cars!
Beautiful car
Love it!!
You got the sound mixing much better. Also this is the first time I actually watched the sponsor segment of the video. Alas, I already have a super affordable local go-to coffee bean for my daily fix. Also RIP Ken Block..
Still hard to believe he’s gone. Such a massive loss
@@AutotopiaLA Definitely. I regularly watched all of his content. He was really an interesting person.
For a stock chassis it sits nice. Looks planted. I like the chrome accents turned to matt, darker silver.. Very nice color
Cleanest one I’ve seen
I've always been more of the odd GM guy, Pontiac,Buick,Oldsmobile and two of my dream cars to customize are the 60 Oldsmobile Super 88 or 98 which has a similar body styling to this car. But there are some Chevys that I do like. And the early sixties Bel-Airs are one of those cars👍. The only thing I would have done differently with this car is I would have bumped up the horsepower a bit to get it to 500. Other than that, this car is perfect in my opinion.
It’s such a well done build. A little more power wouldn’t suck but it still does fine and overall drives great!
Very very nice car thanks again shawn
I really like this one a lot! Thanks for being here and watching as we roll out something very unique and beautiful
The 7, 8, inch bore provides a lot of pressure ,I have the 15 sixteenths Master on my 69 firebird and it weighs 3,300 stop's great, the wheel combo is perfect for the Chevy
I thought the color looked familiar. Looks so good on this car
I love this color on this car with the trim color to dress it down slightly
@@AutotopiaLA yeah man it is perfect! That gun metal trim is gorgeous
I LOVE that BAD ASS car, love the color combo & manual brakes makes it close to perfect...& I gotta try that coffee you were saying about. (I'm a big time coffee guy)
I absolutely love this build and…if you like coffee like I do you’ll love Jack’s! It’s such killer coffee!!
Love it! Would definitely enjoy driving it. Love the sound improvement. All the upgrades are spot on. Only issue is the X frame which gets real ugly in a crash
I love it especially on that year of car !
Me too! This isn’t one you see too often especially done like this
@@AutotopiaLA Agree
Wooov, awesome man, what a firing sound 😎?
Such a cool one
One of the straightest '60 Chevrolets you'll see.
No doubt. Such a clean build
I love it.
Beautiful work! So much of the car is absolute perfection. But you gotta paint that radiator core support black so you don't see body color through the grille.
I really love what they did with this build
I'm glad they went with a gun metal grat trim, really tones down the color. I believeif it was chrome, the color of the car would be more vibrant. Love the car scheme. My love for these type of cars has been growing. I would usually go for the "typical" classic/muscle car, but now that I'm 25 & wise, I truly appreciate these cars more.
Beautiful beast 🔧👍
Definitely
Nice. You see a lot a 59s but rarely a 60. Those rear taillights would fool a lot of people. My parents had a 59 Biscayne. The Pontiac taillights give it a nice twist. That color is sick. I dont like manual brakes or anything manual. Perfect cruiser. Laid back. Bitchin!🔥🔥😘😎♥♠😍😁
The tail lights they used are such a cool touch. I really love this build
This car is super great
Definitely a badass build
Love it! And you know I'm all about the goooold! ;-)
That gold is so badass! What a killer build
Fantastic Car!!! Solid 10
It’s really a great build
@@AutotopiaLA That would look good as a 1/18 diecast on a shelf also. You know theres always certain cars that also check every box, thats one of them.
She's a beauty!!!
Super-clean build! Impeccable details 👌 subtleties and the shear restraint of not over-doing it shows that these guys are mature in their artistry, BRAVO!
Edit: BTW, Shawn... your hair does look nice @9:00 😆
Agreed all the way. Artistic restraint all the way. And thanks on the hair comment…thought it looked a little better than usual 😎
One of the hardest parts of a build is restraint, plus the color has to reflect the original design. This car hits the nail on the head on both points!
That engine note 😮
So nice.
It really is a great build
Subtle, conservative, beautiful 👍👍
I love the car
Very cool 😁😊
9:04 😆😆 Love the Elvis cut man. 😆😆
Nice car! From here ! Sounds great’ from here again! The color suit the car! I prefer good power ( elastic)breaks!
I like the car a lot. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing on it. I might go back to a three tail light configuration. Just because I think it would fit the car better. Other than that I dig it. Thanks man for shooting this car.
It has the look that will get the looks and the respect for what it is and I love the color and what's been done, I'm back and forth with the color match on the bumpers but maybe they would be to much with the satin silver? And as far as the burnout stuff if the owner wants a race car he would have, thank God he didn't do it to classic body style and the comfort of hearing you self think.
Between this one and the GTO that the Asian guy has makes me rethink the power train to something that you can drive and go somewhere like other than around the block.
Великолепный круизер. И если нужно,можно чуть ускориться с дымом из под колёс. А потом дальше спокойно ехать 60 км/ч под приятную музыку. Круть!
I like powered brakes that is a nice build
_A polarizing look..._ You're old, bruh. Nothing wrong with that. I initially hated the color and while watching the video came to understand and appreciate the choice and love it. This is art in motion.
