    For everyone saying the take down is impossible. It’s much easier because once you unwrap the Marley hair the loc just slips off and you take out the braid. NO SCISSORS NEEDED. I usually don’t crochet the hair at the root tho. It’s not necessary but whatever works best for you

      I was coming to say this!!!! I do the exact same method that you described.no extra crocheting of the Marley hair and No scissors. :)

      @karlashathomas4697 I usually use 80 strand to one head and I use 1and half kinky depending on how the length of the hair

    I find this method causes the client to cut their own hair if they take it down themselves

      Thank you for the heads up. I was watching thinking I don't like the bending of the hair, it. It could create breakage tension over time.

      how so? if the natural hair is being folded over itself then they wouldnt be cutting that close to their head. if the natural hair is 6-7 inches they wouldnt cut 2 inches from the root yk?

    The way I do my locs are braid-less and doesn't require a crotchet needle. Very easy to take down too. I need my own RUclips channel so I can save lives.

    I do my faux locs without the crochet. Much easier. Just use the Marley Hair and go down, keep adding it to get longer until desired length. Much faster and easier to do by yourself

      I know this is old but ive seen people make a knot at the end or glue it. I'm thinking about doing this and just tying a knot.

    How do you get the wrapping hair to not unravel. How is it secured?

      That’s what I’m wondering too bc I tried that hand method before and it seems to unravel a bit. Maybe I should try a little bit of got to be glue

      The hair just…. Stays lol. I don’t know how to explain it but I wrap my faux locs with Marley type hair and it never unravels.

    what do yall be doing to cut yalls hair. its easy to take out and if you just unwrap the hair at the base which you should not be cutting just unwrapping and you can use the locs again cuz it will slide off

    JUST UNRAVEL THE HAIR THAT DOES THE WRAPPING & slip the loc out 😢 . It works so good for me and goes so last

    Done a method similar and it all depends on how you take it down I’ve never had any issues.

    Quick question
    What do you do to make the lock flexible at the root after you have wrapped it?
    When I try this technique, my locks are always stiff for days before they loosen up

      I like wash and condition my locs before and then I am done I soak a towel in hot water then apply near the root. Hope that helos

      You can buy hair glue at you local beauty store or online but if they try and sell you nail glue don’t get it they are lying use specifically hair glue
