Hi Christina. A few questions. Is near the middle of the dash the best place for the device? Why not somewhere above the gauge cluster? Too distracting right in your line of sight?
Also, doesn’t it need some time to “learn” your car to know what it’s limits are? In other words, how does it know what the car’s limits are out of the box?
Love your content, even though I miss the E36 M3. Glad you’re nearly 100% back.

Great question! Center of the dash worked best for me, you can put the APEX Pro anywhere on your dash or car for best visibility of the lights. I have my car set up where I set super low and already just barely look over the top of my dash.

Christina Lam Ahhh. I see. Did you see the second set of questions I had? Sorry. It was kind of a long message.

@@apexfiend5015 it usually takes a couple of laps at a reasonable pace to get a good idea of the limits of the car! The closer you get to edge, the better it can define where the limit is!

@@apexfiend5015 yup, a few laps like Andrew said is a good way for the unit to learn the limits. The E36 was a great car and has a great owner now. I'm glad it is being driven! And it feels good to be back. Big things coming with the new car. :D

I have used an Apex Pro I was loaned at the track.
The metric is a percentage of what?
It’s an interesting tool, but I really don’t understand what it is comparing.

Me neither… based on what is the colouring? Previous laps of other driverss? What happens if there is a new track with zero history?

The do have an option that includes a budget friendly iPod touch, but agreed, an android app would be nice. Hope to see some options for that in the future.

Tough decision to make, but maintaining two extensive code bases is very costly. We had to pick one to create the best product we can with our current resources. Check out this article for more info: apextrackcoach.com/2019-apex-pro-android-plans/
