it is honestly kind of insane IS hasn't given any Askr trio exclusive buffs. A lot of other gachas have ways to improve strictly F2P options, but IS actively sabotages the trios viability to the point the all time bonus in all the modes just isnt worth it.

It's always amazing to see players getting incredibly creative with older units, especially the Askr trio.
It’s a fun challenge. Anna might be the hardest because of her low attack.
Alfonse is definitely my favorite of the trio, I consider him to be the main hero of FEH. The books seem to alternate between making him or the summoner 'that guy', but Alfonse gets my vote because he actually DOES things, thinks tacticly, sees the big picture and considers his enemies moves. Whereas the summoner stories just tend to be some variation of 'you are the chosen one because reasons'.
...Although boy do I hope Lif shows up again sometime. Him and Thrasir appearing at the end of Book 4 showing that they weren't just one and dones was the coolest shit to me. Strike down them gods, son.
Ngl i hope they can make Sharena "that girl" lol for just ONE book.
@cam-cam1527 Feel like Book 4 should have been her moment to shine at least a little bit. It was cool to see her relationships with Peony and the other fairies, and you did get some nice character moments and reveals with her questioning if she even is the person she thinks she is. But it unfortunately ends up feeling like a B plot because other than Sharena figuring it out, she doesn't really do much in the story itself. Not to mention by the end of it, none of it actually 'happens' to anyone except the summoner, the fairies, and maybe Veronica? I kinda wish she was the one stuck in the dream instead of the summoner, it would be a nice narrative thread to have her be a part of the team that saved everyone from Freyja, echoing how she was originally going to be part of the crew that fought Giggungagap as children. At least break convention and make her part of the TT involving the Book 4 lineup.
I did find it kinda neat that even the summoner seems to think of Alfonse as 'that guy' in Book 4, given that they dream themselves to be Alfonse to find a way out of the nightmare. It's also basically the only instance of us 'hearing' the summoner's thoughts when he's speaking through Alfonse as he figures out that he's actually the summoner.
Looks like Anna is next 😁I'll be honest, I only use them on modes where they should appear to get orbs and that's it. This won't be the case until now to those players who want to invest on them thanks to you.

I love your dedication to trio I myself only use them for the quests I myself can’t afford to give such them all these strong skills when they could be more useful on someone else.

Max investing in the Askr Trio is a necessity. They are the ones that you should give the most recent skills purely because they appear in every monthly quest and can even score higher than the free bonus unit depending on their BST.
I gave Duel Infantry 4 to all my askrans and it helped immensely. No regrets whatsoever.

Nice vid, I actually built my Sharena with VA as he special, PNFU, SS4, DC, and Nabata Lance+, spd refined and I gave her a floret, summoner supported her and gave her some flowers.
Someday IS will give us missions to +10 the Askr trio and legendary versions of each of them as well, maybe if Henriette dies...
Question: does Henriette make it out of this story chapter, and does that mean we get Fallen Henriette?
@@FEH I think she most likely will survive, but fallen Henriette would be an amazing idea, even though, there's still no fallen Bruno yet. IS seems to dismiss FEH's OCs in favor of the one thousenth Tiki's or Lyn's alt.
@@FEHI’m kinda in between with Book 8. If that happens, Alfonse would probably be crowned king at the end (I’d love if that was the end cinematic) and it would probably make for a good reason for the story behind his brave alt.

I do find hard to justify investing in the Askr Trio since, even tho they're constantly bonus unit, you still need to swap blessings with 'em. If IS just made them omniblessable, I'd actually find some value in it.
Alternatively, they could stop being SO DANG STINGY WITH BLESSINGS!!! That makes no sense to me.

What do you think about Wyvern Katana instead of Brave Sword? Considering you run some kind of Special Cooldown acceleration from outside like Young MInerva, Pledge eff, etc.
I think that would work great. I’m always a little reluctant to give up speed, but in this case, it’s not his best stat.
Can't wait for brave Alfonse. Really hope he got Gustav outfit while being a cav axe unit just like his father.

A good change for the Askr Trio will be to get them +1 every time you finish a book.
So is the Engage Ring + no quarter that makes the difference or is just no quarter fine? I unfortunately missed the Engaged Marth but I rly want to invest in Alfonse or in general the askr trio. Would u like to do these guides for the other askr members as well? :D
Emblem marth grants accelerated specials. Add that to an arcane weapon and No Quarter is on 1 cooldown. It can make a huge difference in certain situations
No Quarter makes the biggest difference, but Marth certainly helps. The thing is, you can get special cooldown reduction in a lot of ways right now.

@@FEH ok so he gets off the beach like two times a month. Once for monthly orbs and then again for bound hero battle orbs.
I always try to use the Askr trio to clear new story maps, but it's gotten much more difficult recently.
I know Alfonse gets some shit for his refine, and obviously triangle adept ain't great even for Gen 1, but I do kind of think the narrative aspect of it is neat. He gets a pretty steep advantage against the first 5 final bosses of each book. It really drives home that he is 'the hero' who beats them. Heck even to this day I don't think there has been a story boss that outright has WTA over Alfonse, at best, they are neutral. The only exception to that that comes to mind is Bruno, and given his relationship with Alfonse as arguably his weak point and a 'rival' friend of sorts, I think that works narratively too. Just a neat little bit of story-gameplay synergy that I thought was really cool.
I’m not in the crazy high tiers but using my favorite units I’m still consistently scoring in 19-20 Arena and 27-28 in AR I’m willing to take that hit to use my beloved base seliph

My favorite Askr rn is Anna, Axe of Devotion Anna is just insane even on budget.
Anna!! I’ve been playing with Arcane thrima on her. That one is a lot of fun too.
@FEH Yeah, luckily, we got Thrima in the codes(no devourer tho, thankfully we got the other two melee arcanes), still I do think Axe of Devotion is quite unique for Anna since it patches her damage output weakness, it's hard to say no to free precombat damage(inb4 they nerf it) and with Marth's ring it's about as good as an arcane weapon.
If IS let us merge up the Askr trio, I'd use them a lot more for various game modes. For now I just use them for quests.
What builds do you use?
@@FEH If he's a bonus unit in AR and I have to use him, I give him Null Blade+ (for NFU), Galeforce (Engaged), Atk/Spd Ideal 3, Wings of Mercy 3, Infantry Pulse 3, Quickened Pulse . With Askr support, his GF will be down to 3 turns; if I pair him up with B!Rafiel, it will be 2 turns. That's usually enough to make him a competent follow up unit.

I don't understand why they don't automatically consider the askr trio as if they were +10 for arena, since they CAN'T be +10d
How to build the ultimate Alfonse: just don’t
No seriously, yeah they are always bonus units and this could be interesting if you are really, really, really competitive and always wants the highest amount of rewards. But usually the rewards between highest tiers isn’t that big of a difference - so I don’t see the point to put the same stuff on units you can merge, are probably newer and with that doing the job a million times better, with same or less investment and probably also be able to score higher or as high without having to rely on a bad A-Skill (Arena).
And even without going into to heavy investment Arena tier 19,5 or going up and down between VoH in AR and well not VoH is also easy without any heavy investments in general, for just a little bit smaller of a reward.
That said, I probably would invest into Alfonse and Sharena tho, cause I like them, but IS giving them nothing and not even the option to merge at that point… nah totally not worth it imo.

Is it weird that the 30 dragon flowers are the toughest sell on these units? They really need to give us more of those.
@@FEH absolutely. The opportunity cost on infantry dragonflowers specifically is just MASSIVE. If I'm giving Alfonse 30 dragonflowers that's 2-5 units (depending on generation) I also like that are now not going to get an upgrade. Whereas if you randomly pulled an arcane lif, you can make a good portion of the build happen fairly easily with that + pitybreaks (except no quarter of course)
