Man I’ve said it a million times on these videos I can’t believe it took till 98-99 before they thought hmmmmm 🤔maybe we outta put a cage on these wild ass machines?? Sure glad they did👍👍 thanks for the throwbacks 👊

Exactly what I said to myself. It would've rolled right over him. He would've been done for.

I was at that pull. Hutchinson MN. Never forget watching it happen. If I recall the driver of the tractor was back at the track before the pull ended. I said the same thing at the time, the cage saved his life. I believe this is the first time I seen a video. Glad to be able to watch it again knowing he survived.

Great video. I have a question though. Is the same company manufacturing the front spindles for Case, JD, International, etc. Because
there sure is a lot of breakage going on. Everybody is loosing their front tire/wheel assemblies. Maybe their is a recall?

The pulling tractors, are built as light as possible, to allow the operator to move the weight where they need it, based on the track. The front axles and wheels are not original, and all aftermarket parts. In addition, you will notice most of the pullers have a lot of weight on the front end, and ideally, during the pull, the front no is just off the ground, for maximum weight transfer to the drive wheels. When the front end gets too high, and drops suddenly, something has to give.

I guess it don't matter ,,, a lawn mower works ,,, long as it's got an engine that'll Roar ... I've been watching these things for a long time ... at 7:40 that driver saved those people's lives ... Cuz them fireman wouldn't want to been standing around ... When that runaway exploded ,,, he pulled the fuel lines off of it ... you got some good ones ,,, I haven't seen ... thanks ... D

It doesn't matter if yank the fuel lines off, don't you know how diesels work? They can start sucking their own oil up through the crankcase until they run out and either lock up or grenade and potentially kill someone, you have to smother the engine to stop a runaway, usually covering the turbo inlet with a brick, block of wood etc.

Seeing shitty front axle axle shitty front axle break off is getting stupid.
Seriously guys figure it out make the front axle stronger...
You can't be that naive either make it stronger or be a idiot break it off and crash.
    Its your decision
