With physical it usually doesn't come with the day one censor update or the outfit/blood update since the physical disc was made prior. And in most cases you can roll back an update you don't like in a number of ways. With digital they can just keep censoring the crap out of it in updates and you cant rollback to a previous version of the game, physical you can ignore it or just stay offline and never get the prompt. However we don't know what version is being put on physical, the later you wait the more likely the patch will be added to the base physical game as they make more copies. We'll see I guess.

People are blowing this wildly out of proportion. The background graffiti is randomly generated. This particular instance just happened to randomly occur. Most people never even saw it because it didn't exist in their play through. All the "censoring" did was remove the possibility of this graffiti alignment happening again. People were dug in and prepared to hate this game only it turned out to be pretty good so now they have to aim their special hate guns at something so they've jumped on this. It's a nothing burger issue.

Shift Up should’ve expected this as I did, they made a game for a woke platform, so the moment they were going to release the game they should’ve paused its release until it was allowed to be sold uncensored. Pre-ordered mine. Picked it up from GameStop today. Only played about 10 minutes. Make sure your ps5 is not connected to the Internet before you insert the disc and load. Also, turn off automatic updates for both system and games. You can manually update each game and the system later

Literally met a black soldier by the name of Raul within my first few hours of playing. Absolutely loving this game. One of the most non frustrating fun experience in a video game in a VERY LONG time. Solid game design.

When it comes to 3rd party titles ( even if they have exclusive rights), they are a lot more strict. There are dozens of RPGS on PSN that are censored on PS, but the Switch version is uncensored. Omega Labyrinth is a good example of this. People have been complaining about Sony censorship for years now.

I bought the physical copy once I learned about this. I'm too cynical to believe the "this is the version we intended to show you" line anymore in this day and age. I think Sony forced Shift Up to censor parts of the game, and they bent the knee in spite of their promises of an uncensored version. If we can't even depend on Korean, Japanese or Chinese companies to deliver good games that don't subscribe to this PC woke nonsense, then the industry is truly done. I will be buying all my games on disc from now on and only installing patches/updates if I know they're not packaged with any sort of censorship.
