The new malls (we went to similar last month, near Ben Thanh Market) theyre a nice cool reprieve from the heat and busy streets, we walked everywhere, till exhausted, then taxi back to hotel (only $3!). Go on a day tour guide in a van down to My Tho, Mekong Delta, boat across to, coconut sweet factory, the rowboats, lunch at Nhà hàng sinh thái Việt Nhật, honey hives, large snake! then back to Vinh Trang Pagoda, and wonderful country drive back to Ho Chi Minh.. so much to see, a fun day, fine memories forever.
I'm literally just good home from going to the Aeon Mall in District 8 that just opened on Thursday. I guess you can say it's the Parc Mall that open 3 weeks ago but either way it has a great supermarket. I should have the video up this time tomorrow. Thank you so much for watching and hopefully subscribing.
This is a cool place to hang out for residents in district 8 since it is the 1st shopping mall ever opened in this part of the city. Make sure to check out AEON MALL which connected from the 2nd floor of this mall, tons of good stuff to shop & to eat :) 😊
my in-laws from Vietnam just visited the US earlier this year and were disappointed in malls in the US. When we told them that malls were dying in America, they were curious why. Another relative who lives in the US showed them videos of "teens" flash-mobs rampaging robbing stores in malls, and also fights, altercations, shootings... They shook their heads in disbelief, and they made an obvious, objective, empirical observation that Democrats will never acknowledge.
My Vietnamese in-laws visited us twice when we were still in the US and they loved it. Now this was years ago and the political environment was a lot different. The thing I remember the most that shocked them was the portion sizes especially when it came buying a drink at a convenience store. Now that I live in Vietnam full-time I understand why it was so new to them. Thank you for supporting the channel
@@usa2vietnam My in-laws still loved many things here, even as simple as a quiet walk in the neighborhood with fresh air, tree-lined streets with wildlife, clean ponds with waterfowls, etc. They had a very insightful economic observation: this is true prosperity. Vietnam has all kinds of fancy attractions from theme parks to luxury resorts, to modern venues, facilities, but they said that was not what the vast majority of people enjoyed on a daily basis. The true prosperity they realized is the daily quality of life including clean water, air, environment for the masses. This is remarkably more advanced than many other Vietnamese who believed that towers like Landmark, resorts like Bana Hills or Phu Quoc were proofs of Vietnam's prosperity.
