These tool reviews you do are always great and seems like there is an endless amount of things to explain and teach. I appreciate every single one of these vids you produce. Hope your week is starting off perfect and the sun is shining
I have been a mason for 32 years and I have learned several things from different parts of my travels. I like the vids very much and love to see tricks other masons use I have combined bits from all over to do my work. Keep up the good work
Love those quickie saws but damn they are expensive! Just under 8 months into my 3.5 year apprenticeship program with the bricklayers and a big fan of you and your vids!!!
Thanks Mike, more questions answered. Don't do masonry professionally but have enough to do around the house that I'll get an inexpensive large grinder and blades at Ye Olde Harbor Freight ... they work for at least 1 job before breaking! ;-D
Tools help in demo, prep materials and some finish. Tools aren’t the brains. Tools aren’t experience. Tools don’t make the craftsman. Tools are little friends and helpers, Mike is a good spokesman.
I thought you were kidding about blowing out the breakers. For $20 on Craigslist I got a real old Blacken Decker 9inch. The thing is about 25lbs and when I flipped it on the lights in the basement dimmed. It looked like someone threw the switch on the electric chair.
Hey Mike, do you have a recommendation for cutting out joints for repointing a house? I was thinking a circular saw would work better for the straight cuts but all the videos online people use hand tools or angle grinders.
Check out my videos on. "Repointing brickwork" or " brickwork repair" I am not a fan of grinding out joints unless it absolutely necessary, thanks Mike
Hey mike thanks for the info as usual, good stuff. Sorry for the pitch, but would you know any local who would like to buy the old Mo-Ritz down the street in duryea? Ive been trying to sell it for a few years now and im asking next to nothing Thank you
I guess the 2011 flood really took it's toll. I bought it for super cheap a few years ago and was going to make it an indoor skatepark, but before I could move into the apartment, my wife got a job by West Chester. so we're living down here now. Thanks anyway though

Great video, Mike. You use many different brands of tools. Are there any brands you steer clear of? Thanks for posting.
Hi Brian, I think I’m pretty open minded, and I usually buy a good brand unless I’m only going to use it a couple times, thanks Mike
wow in the '70s labor was cheap & equipment expensive... now it's the other way round
Thanks Savio, very true, mike
