What kind of aliens are growing out of his back in the thumbnail? What the heck is that?
It is a family condition so we have heard. In fact, we were told his Father has something similar - and for those suggesting it is a doctored thumbnail, nothing fudged in photoshop But we agree it is a unique look for sure. We think it looks pretty powerful and perhaps it gives him extra deadlift power!!!!It looks like it should ! haha
@@GiantsLiveSTRONGMAN Interesting. If its some kind of genetic abnormality than it should be in medical books. Most likley is probably just what everyone suspects it is. Maybe not the same substance, but some kind of substance. These guys must be taking horse dosages. They are big guys.
From what we understand it is genetic and I think the large lump in the middle on his spine is the clear evidence that some kind of reckless vanity project aren’t what caused them. That isn’t really his style if you know him.
Those are synthol infusions. Nobody has round shoulder muscles like that, esp. not in the middle right above your spine
Buffalo hump. Sometimes caused by excess fat, or elevated cortisol levels. Genetics do play a part as well.
The Strongman Progression in The Deadlift is Crazy
There is also better recovery programmes which make a massive difference when in intense training for these events
It's all thanks to the advances in vegan diets and all natural supplements.
Strong Leftarm if by protein supplements you mean gear, then yes.
Straps
@@Sffker wow really? Who would have thought, strong Leftarm should have made a joke about it
"It's not possible to pull out you know" my man speaking the truth right there
He knows the struggle
Eddie is shorter than many of these guys, yet weighed around 80-90 pounds more than most of them when he competed. Kinda make sense that Eddie had health problems.
legend says eddie still holds that 500kg deadlift
@@hg_10sm68 he had signal "down" but he enjoyed that moment
@@amogusboy4395 Not legend, only salty Eddie fanboys lol
@@BigUriel cmon thor record is bs, we all know it, not to take merits of him at all tho
His health problems stem from the lack of being hydrated, also known as dehydration. It's a sad story really. A man who fights every day to stay hydrated. He hides his pain because crying would make him lose the delicate balance his life rests on between mortal dehydration and barely hydrated.
His traps have traps?
Synthol
Makes no sense for one of the worlds strongest men to find the need to inject synthol in him
@@taqiya.b5228 You're right, but whatever those lumps are, they aren't muscle. I'm guessing he had things put in for potential athletic performance (athletes do a lot of weird stuff, like cupping). Given that he's not from a super developed nation, it wouldn't surprise me if he had some weird surgery done that has no scientific backing.
@@RYANkMCCARTHY it's genetic, his father has it too
Wise Wigga his father use Synthol to😆
That's what drinking on the day job does 😂
Lool love how he says it right after Robert Oberst
Obie seems not to be the most popular one, huh?
@@dochnee1498 He just doesn't take it as seriously as the rest of them, so he gets a lot of flak. I personally like him but I don't think he will be WSM anytime soon unless he makes some serious changes.
@@austinhaynes6420 That's not why at all. He's disliked because he's incredibly arrogant and he can't back it up in contest or in any lift. He's rates himself as being up there with Z as the best log lifters in the world, but he 211kg pb has been beaten by plenty of top guys. 10+. Get it! Get it up! Lol
No
Seen brad castleberry do 15 reps in 30 seconds 🎈🎈🎈
That was curls. This is deadlift.
They don't have a barbell big enough for all the weight Brad Dingleberry could lift
He can do 30 reps in 15 seconds
Met Brad on mission beach before. He was pretty cool. He lifted fake weights but that dude is still more jacked than any of us will ever be.
@@colonelinfernal5004 maybe you should start lifting fake weights then 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😂😂😂
After watching this u see just how strong Eddie hall really is,it’s unbelievable, these guys struggling at 882,Eddie 1102
It's not totally clear that he locked out the half tonne deadlift. He should maybe have spent another 6 months leading up to it but got over-excited.
@@holliswilliams8426 He also had a Deadlift suit on and almost died. While his lift is still obviously very impressive, I still think Benedikts raw deadlift world record is more impressive.
No, that shouldn’t be your main takeaway from this video. Eddie did a max, equipped deadlift(a deadlift with suit).
This was just a regular strongman deadlift(straps, no sumo stance, lenient reffing) for reps. Rest assured Eddie wouldn’t have done much better if at all than J.F. and Konstantine, otherwise he would have banged out the record himself.
they did it for 5 reps.
I think JF Caron went way too fast...Maybe he could have made a sixth rep If he had a better pace
This is deadlift not a marathon
Nah man deadlift is not something you can take your time. You get in a rhythm you can bang out more reps keeping the same positioning instead of resetting yourself.
at this level of weight it take the same time to recover from a rep or from 4 rep, been quicker hed got a sixth
ItsxMagiicGaming it’s like your talking about average gym bro’s doing 150 up down touch straight back up that form is very dangerous when getting closer to your max weight it is crucial to semi reset it’s almost like you didn’t watch the video they go up they go down they roll the bar forward they adjust there hips an knees because there legs are to straight to start the lift again because they’re not controlling the weight down they roll the bar back an go again.
Conner Broeker are you telling somebody they’re wrong because they’re suggesting a different strategy to the strategy that failed? I would’ve thought using maximum energy to start emptying the gas tank an having nothing left for the last reps which are harder wouldnt be wise. He wasn’t suggesting take massive breaks between reps but in stead of smashing 3 in 12/14 seconds why not slow it down to 3 in 20 then have more energy in the tank to do 3 in 40. In those first 3 reps they’re probably taking maybe 4/5 breaths then we’re gasping for air before attempting the 4th . The more I think about it the more I think your comment “this is deadlift not a marathon” is a silly reply without thought behind it
0 reps by loads of strong men.... does that mean ive got a chance too?
If you can get it at least an inch off the floor, sure.
@@hautakleightontam771 easy
I had it written up, if i were to be one of the only Canadians to total 1000 kilos raw, id have to be 100/110 kg and squat 350, bench 250 and pull 400... i might have to lower my hopes from world champion level strength to national competitor level strength
Well I mean you would've tied them on this event so there's that I guess

Bruhhh. That thumbnail. That guy has an extra trapezius. He's like those guys that have 8 pack abs
Probably synthol or implants...definitely doesn't look natural
I believe it is actually tumors or growths caused by irritation from squatting or just heavy objects resting on his back, I remember reading smth like that

"It's not possible to pull out, you know"
Someone implanted a giant PS4 controller on their back.
I wonder if some guys like Shaw, Björnsson and of course Eddie Hall who was in his prime here in 2017, could have beaten this record?
This is all new to me, I started powerlifting back in the 80's when Mark Chaillet was one of the best, Ed Coan & of course Kaz. Using straps for a competition is just weird for me as you could not use devices back then. Strongs men for sure.

People saying "synthol" don't realize this isn't feckin bodybuilding they're looking at. This man just lifted 400kg for 5 reps. He doesn't need to cheat. He has multiple familial lipomatosis. I know because it runs in my family too.
@Todd M you wouldn't inject synthol at the top of the spine for bigger traps. His condition is naturally occurring.
That dude's back is literally boiling
Its crazy how Jamal Browner at 110KG could compete with these strongmen. Crazy how strong people can become
sumo isn't allowed in strongman

Something feels wrong with the back in that thumbnail
I randomly klicked this video, never seen this guy before, not actively into Dead lifting competition but when he was on rep 3 i sat there like "come on!!! you can do it!!! DO IT!! you can make it!!"
Dude from the thumbnail: It's not a tumor!
Plenty of synthol on that back 😂😂
Could you imagine if he was like “you have to pick this bar up” and just whipped that shit up like it was nothing on accident
3:15 When Karen becomes Caron
Once I did 19 reps with 400 kg, could not complete 20 reps because my alarm went off.
Mark my words, in 15 years from now it's going to be 500 for reps and 4+ people will manage to pull more than 2.

Iron Biby reminds me of Viscera from WWF back in the days.
You would think that Thor would have beaten this after the 501kg, if he had cared
He was invited and accepted to come to this contest but pulled out injured beforehand - so he did have a chance to do it. Sadly injury stoped our chance to see him go for it.

The lump in the thumbnail is not from genetics lol. If you did heavy squats you would have one too. It's scar tissue that your body develops over years from the bar's weight sitting on that exact spot.
According to some videos shown in past few months one guy from one remote island will deadlift 400 kg for 10 reps, easy...will he?
