It is a family condition so we have heard. In fact, we were told his Father has something similar - and for those suggesting it is a doctored thumbnail, nothing fudged in photoshop But we agree it is a unique look for sure. We think it looks pretty powerful and perhaps it gives him extra deadlift power!!!!It looks like it should ! haha

No, that shouldn’t be your main takeaway from this video. Eddie did a max, equipped deadlift(a deadlift with suit).
This was just a regular strongman deadlift(straps, no sumo stance, lenient reffing) for reps. Rest assured Eddie wouldn’t have done much better if at all than J.F. and Konstantine, otherwise he would have banged out the record himself.

Conner Broeker are you telling somebody they’re wrong because they’re suggesting a different strategy to the strategy that failed? I would’ve thought using maximum energy to start emptying the gas tank an having nothing left for the last reps which are harder wouldnt be wise. He wasn’t suggesting take massive breaks between reps but in stead of smashing 3 in 12/14 seconds why not slow it down to 3 in 20 then have more energy in the tank to do 3 in 40. In those first 3 reps they’re probably taking maybe 4/5 breaths then we’re gasping for air before attempting the 4th . The more I think about it the more I think your comment “this is deadlift not a marathon” is a silly reply without thought behind it

The lump in the thumbnail is not from genetics lol. If you did heavy squats you would have one too. It's scar tissue that your body develops over years from the bar's weight sitting on that exact spot.
