@@toddkorolphoto I hear that a lot, and I feel the same way. I think for editing consistently, the M10 is probably more reliable. For editing less, I think the M240 is preferable. I'm glad the M10 is more like the M240 than not, though. Eventually getting M240 won't be possible!
Todd, your videos are masterful. The photography, your choice of music, your restful pace, and your soothing voice, make for superb videos. They are so comforting, that I play them in the evening to fall asleep to. Thank you for all you do. 👍
The picture cycle has brought back many memories, as I have visited Istanbul repeatedly over the years since 1987 (Leica M6 on Film) and photographed a lot (Leica M.2 140). Istanbul has changed a lot in this time, the natural, original has fallen by the wayside due to the mainly commercial orientation. But Istanbul is still a fascinating city that offers photographers an inexhaustible range of motifs.
I bet, I wish I would have visited as well back in the 80's, I saw some photography from back then by a photographer, it looked like a great place to make photos.
Absolutely agree with everything you mentioned about the city and the people and how it should be at the top of every photographer's list of places to visit. I was there about 15 years ago and it's definitely on my list of places to return to.
It's interesting that you got the idea of visiting Istanbul from the Bond movie of From Russia with Love. My impression with this city had to be with another movie - Midnight Express.
It's funny you say that, my wife never wanted to go to Turkey because of that movie. She finally gave in when we had friends there, she is glad she did.
@@toddkorolphoto For my case, I saw Midnight Express before seeing From Russia with Love in a rerun. Sort of an irony, the Four Seasons Sultanahmet today was exactly that detention center Billy Hayes put under custody. We're there in the early 2010's and have been looking to go again.
Hang on, is this a Nat Geo/Discovery Doco????????? Todd, when is the 12 episode series being released? I always admire your content. Your work is very inspirational. Cheers from Australia.
Hello… cool Shots and a thank for this video… i have a question and am curious what kind of camera bag you had with you... it looks small and nice..!!?
Spent a month in the Kadikoy neighborhood, on the Asian side. Loved Istanbul! We were there for their 100 year celebration of the republic. It is clean, except for the cigarette butts.
Dude, it's Istanbul not petty crime cesspools like Malaga or Madrid. I just left Istanbul, grudgingly. I can't wait to go back. I'm NEVER going back to Spain...
Pas du tout. J'utilise un Leica depuis 30 ans, je les aime car ils sont légers et simples à utiliser, et ont de superbes objectifs. Mais toutes les caméras sont bonnes de nos jours.
It's a good day when there's a new Todd Korol video!
@@MrCodyswanson Thanks! 🙏
FANTASTIC video Todd. Beautiful images and music 🎶 and thank you for channeling the great Ara Guler❤️❤️
Oh cool, so glad you liked it and are following along, more to come!
M240 remains a gem. Love the color science in that old beast. Really nice set of photos✌
The 240 is a great camera, I really love the colour out of it, in some ways more than the M10.

Great stuff Todd, just enough to inspire nascent thoughts of a photo expedition to Istanbul!
Do it! You won't regret it.
Todd has a way of making me like places I wouldn't dare going!
Do it, you won't regret it.
Thank you. Convinced and putting it high on the list.
So much great potential for photos.
STUNNING todd, absolutely amazing images. thanks so much for sharing this wonderful city with us . zen billings
Thanks so much Zenon, as always!
Great postcard Todd! You captured the experience of being in Istanbul so well. Fantastic memories for me.
We thought about you guys all last night, such a great trip there. Hope the new adventure is going great!

I'm sure it's changed since then as most big cities are growing so fast now. But worth a trip back.
Nice shots. I just finished ny Turkey trip. Bring me lots of memories
Gorgeous images!
Thank you for watching.
Great video. Stunning images.
@@carbonejack Thanks very much!
First time I’ve seen one your videos Todd. Istanbul looks like nirvana for photography. Great shots.
Thanks, yes it's a great place to be a photographer.
Great video, really appreciate the Istanbul photographs
Thank you very much.
Nice photographs & I had a great time watching this video :)
Wonderful, thank you.
My last visit was over 50 years ago. It was a memorable place then as well.
Wow that must have been amazing!

Well trying something a little different, from this is just the camera I use. Thanks for watching, would love to do 12 shows ;-)
Beautiful images of one of my favorite cities to visit. You captured is so well. Thanks!

Hello… cool Shots and a thank for this video… i have a question and am curious what kind of camera bag you had with you... it looks small and nice..!!?
Thanks, It's the Dome F-5XB shoulder bag.
These are awesome photos ❤
Which 28.35.50 lens do you have I.e summicron , lux or APO? Would you add in 21mm?
Thank you. I use a 28 F/2.8, 35 F/2 ASPH, and the 50 F/2. I like the 21 but it is very wide for the type of work I do.

We loved the Asian side, my wife and chatted that if we go back we would probably stay on that side for a few days for sure.
I recently used 35mm to take some photos. Can you give me some guidance? Thank you very much!
@@RickyStreetphotography keep your kit small and light. Look for great light on the street and look for real moments.

I heard someone once say "take photos about things not of things," and that stuck with me.
@@SourPlanet I like that.
I fully agree. But I did it with my Lumix GX 80 Micro 4/3.
I actually love those little micro 4/3 cameras.
Hi Todd. Did you shoot the video with the M240 or something else?

Is it secure ? I mean no body will steal your gears? Specially, when it’s Leica equipment ?
