    I stumbled upon these three videos today, started watching part 1 - "uploaded 9 months ago.. awesome he should be done by now".
    I'm so excited for part 4 now, I hope it's not far away!
    I love that your solution to this problem was to spend hundreds and hundreds of design hours on it instead of just buying something!

    Looking forward to part 4 of this project! I plan to do the same thing, and would like your impressions once you're done. I've been using track saw for ripping plywood, but it would be nice to have this panel sled instead of just extra support stands for my saw.

      Hey, thanks. Sorry for the pause in this series, over the summer I spend more time with my family (and less in the workshop). But this series will be continued, I already received new materials.

    Brilliant so far. Can't wait for the final episodes.
    Could you be persuaded to create a set of plans? I am assuming it does not make any difference where one buys those aluminium extrusions. Do you concur or do you have a Geheimtipp?

    I am afraid that by the time you are done the Bosch will be the weakest point of the saw :) Btw may I ask you about the drill stand you have? Looks like the Wabeco - I only just recently found out about it and it looks great, though I am not finding many 'honest reviews' on it :D So if you could perhaps share your experience with it.

    • @tims.2832
      @tims.2832  3 года назад

      Hi Kristof, ja, perhaps the Bosch will be the "attachment" at the end :) It´s a journey, let´s see. The drill stand is the Wabeco. I used the Wolfcraft stand (about 70,- Euros) previously and that thing did a pretty good job too. I upgraded for more reach, mainly. And for some more precision. The Wabeco is more rigid, more heavy. And it is more flexible, I can drill horizontally, which I allready used for drilling in long parts (along their long axis).

    I'm guessing it wound up a failure since after six months there is no follow up.
    Frankly he went about it wrong in my opinion. Don't take a benchtop saw and try to turn it into a panel saw. It's been to use a cabinet saw and build to a cast iron top and a trunion.
