Burned to the ground and abandoned in the forest, let’s clean it up!

- This RV burned to the ground and was abandoned at a campsite right next to the Deschutes River. With winter coming this area will be inaccessible to bigger trucks until mid spring, and we don’t want the spring snow melt to wash all the ash and burn debris into the river. So the PLS Bend crew went down on the previous weekend to cut the top half off and haul away what they could in a dump trailer. Then I brought my @NRCIndustries rollback down to load up the main chassis and haul to our storage pit. By the time you see this video a few of the guys will have gone back down with the dump trailer again to load up and haul away all the ash and debris that was under the chassis to leave the camp site like it was before this fire happened. This was not a scheduled cleanup event, this was just something that needed to get done before winter so organizers of PLSBEND.ORG went down on their own and got it done. They are an awesome group of people who have a true passion for what they’re doing, and if you would like to support the organization you can click on the link above to get involved or donate.

Yes, there was definitely easier ways to do this, I’m well aware of that…. But as this was not a paying job, and no customer paying and hourly bill, it was a perfect time to get some experience with my new truck and see what I can make it do. It’s much better to spend the time playing around with something like this on a relaxed afternoon in the woods to gain some experience than trying to figure it out in the middle of the highway on an accident recovery call while traffic is being held up.
So those automatic chains only catch one tire and right?
Really enjoyed the banter between your old man and you
Enjoy all the time you two share, im a 36 year old man n I’m going on 15 years since I been able to talk to my old man, and you two talk’n ish brought back many good memories and makes me wish for just one more conversation with him
Thanks for sharing Casey
Ol men rule young bucks drool!
The day we don't learn something new is the day we realize where dead
....aaaaaand you forgot the thing at the truck stop... Again. lol
Your dad should be real proud of the son he raised and grateful he's the kind of man to raise a good son.
I was good to see your dad. It explains so much.
You guys took the words right out of my mouth Casey you are a definite blessing in this world.❤
You should have your dad with you on more recoveries, Casey. Seems like a cool guy and a good dad. Good commentary and camera work and professional ( though sometimes ignored ) advice. Enjoy every minute with him, it doesn’t last long enough. I really enjoy your videos - some of the best entertainment on RUclips. Down-to-earth and approachable. Keep up the great work.
You and your Dad are so good together. You are lucky to still have him.
Extremely inappropriate comment, but I do understand that you mean well.
@@Toffsen2525 nothing inappropriate meant in that comment at all. Especially if you understand what I meant.
Casey have you realized that the bigger your equipment is the more fun you have doing a job?
That’s what she said!
Sean take your brain out of the gutter there are kid's who watch Casey and the job's he does he doesn't need gutter trash in the comments
@@davidmeyers8594 try decaf. you might feel better tomorrow
You have seen it comming! The Zacklift is so much fun...
Hey Dad, nice to meet you, and thanks to you Casey for the effort and time to keep our forests green!
Great video Casey. Its so awesome to " meet" your Dad. He's definitely a good dude- after all, he had you !
This video was very enjoyable to watch. Personally speaking, I like the longer ones, but hey- they're all very good. I can't believe it was 32 minutes as time passed quickly.
Beautiful scenery in your area ! Wow !
My dad a Korean war veteran always said you when went into the forest you pack it in you pack it out. Never leave it behind.
Thank you for continuing to help clean up our forests!
Casey, you're at least half as good as you say you're not. Great job and really appreciate your Dad being along!
Casey LaDelle, you really seem to be an honorable man. Thank you from all of us other good guys for showing that we still exist.
Dude watching and listening to you and your dad go back and forth was awesome. enjoy how yall get along with each other. Fun video as usual and looking forward to the next one.
As a young fellow I learned to pay attention to my Dad's thoughts and suggestions. It has been beneficial and humbling when I realized Dad had twice as much experience than me.
Happy to watch the shenanigans in a beautiful part of the world, and glad it helps you do what you do
Y'all's "bickering" back-n-forth is hilarious. Between Dad,Ben and Grumpy you got a fabulous camera crew.
Thank you for caring for public land!
Hello to Dad!! As one father to another: you raised a good man there. He is inspirational to watch and listen to; and he’s just pretty darn good at doing things that he says “I never said I was good at this” about. Dad Win💪🙏
The accuracy of a pin drop depends on the scale of the map when the pin was dropped and the size of the finger doing it.
Now I think when Casey says, "I never said I was good at this." we can all 🙄!! Because we all know different!! 😂
Your Dad taught you Very Well ! 👍
Great Video Y'all 👍❤️
My Dad passed away and I wish I could spend just one more day with him 😢 😪
Silly I know, but I love the casual way you use appropriate safety kit. It’s so hard to persuade people to wear gloves when fueling!
Casey, you need a crew cab, so you can have a father, son, and Grumpy show. Sell tickets, you'll pay off the new truck, and likely have enough left over for that Tucker, or 6x6!
As for commenting on how to do things... To rephrase something you said in Matt's shop, "Your monkeys, your circus". 😀👍🇨🇦
Love the banter between you and your Dad❤ He raised a great son and now I see where your humor comes from 😂 Still catching up on your older videos 🎉 Stay safe out there!❤️🙏
The more I learn about you the more Impressed I am..... I suspect that you may have had inherited your Kindness towards Mother Nature from a Good Source....possibly....."The Best". ✌
You should receive the Congressional Medal of Honour for the public work you do, and the encouragement given to all folks of any age to look after the environment.
Thank you for cleaning up our natural resources!!
Listening to you and your dad’s banter reminded me of a lot of the good times my dad and I had before he last 3 years ago. Cherish the time you have with him as you never know from day to day who may never be with you anymore
Casey, I know I'm wayyyy late to this video but...
You & your Dad's banter is just like me & my Dad, especially while fishing on the boat! It's all love & that man had taught me more skills than what most men would teach their daughter. He's my best friend & my hero on earth. We both pretty much just have one another & i thank the Good Lord for many things & my Dad as one of them.
So happy for RUclips recommending your channel
Casey probably has THE best audio setup on RUclips, better than Hoovie for sure and better than many million sub channels
THANK YOU FOR CLEANING UP OTHERS TRASH TO KEEP OUR FOREST BEAUTIFUL!! BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!
Your dad still had something to teach you today. I’ve been working with my dad for nearly 25 years, he still gets me on something once in a while too.
thats so cool, glad ya got your dad involved, miss mine
The old dog still knows best!!!. Love the interaction
Great Time with your mentor & Dad, looks like very quality time, great video, thanks for sharing with us in Internetland :)
Casey, I'm old enough to be YOUR dad, and My dad and I had the same back- and- forth conversations as you two all the time. For all I know, my dad had the same type of conversations with his dad back in the 1940's. Love and respect going both ways, and having fun doing it. Life is good.
Good job Casey. It's great to see that there are people that clean up after the small number (hopefully) that make this sort of mess.
And thank you for doing it. That one was way beyond the call!
Some times we got to listen to parents as they know the best. 😊 Then we can change ourselves later as new way to do it.
I miss my dad.
Rock Crawler I miss mine to
Fun day cleaning up the woods and learning how to make the truck do what you want it to do. Better to learn while having fun and no one is in danger of being hurt.
Thanks Casey for cleaning up after Dirtheads!
Casey and Dad, cut from the same cloth, Enjoyed a lot, enjoy him as long as you can, He won’t be around forever
To see ur tow truck coming down that logging road it's never to early think about a fleet calendar.
We learned that "lucky" and "trained by the best" are not mutually exclusive.
Here’s a donation Casey towards the cause.
The sign of a good recovery artist is to recover the vehicle without causing any additional damage. Outstanding job!
Great reminder Dad! Lol can’t tell you how many times I give advice and don’t take it myself
Using the force again? " you will come to me "
And dad is Always right 🤣🤣🤙🖖
Nice Father and son relationship 👍🙏, , but u put a ding on that precious cargo 🤣🤣
You can hear that your Dad love you
Another job well done thank you for cleaning up the forest your a great person for doing this love the Chanel thanks for sharing
I see that roach coach damaged surrounding trees when it went up in flames- nice
That frame would make a great lumber mill. I wish I was closer. Well done and I like your heckler😂😂😂.
Casey, back in highschool my days, my girlfriends mom created a "turn your lights off" reminder.
It was a decorated plastic hoop that hung on the light switch of the car. When she turned on the lights she moved it to the door handle and it stayed there with some Velcro.
When she was parked and about to get out of the car, she had no way around this headlight reminder, as it blocked the actual handle.
Maybe you could make some kind of similar flag device that is stored on or near the air brake switch. Then transfer it to the lever box on the rollback. That way when you are about to drop the truck back to the ground you'll see the flag and take it back to the air brakes in the cab and secure those before dropping the wheels back down.
It may sound silly, but once you start using something like this, it's a game changer.
Helping to keep the forests clean is a noble cause, thank you for you efforts. It's bad enough that people would dump tree trash in the forest but to dump it in the middle of a road or trail is reprehensible.
Cleaning up public land and time with Dad. Can't get any better!
i really enjoyed the father and son interaction.
I don't know where you're at but it is very very beautiful it must be Oregon I think I used to live in a place called Newburgh 50 years ago I forgot how beautiful things really are in life being disabled and not be able to get around except for a power chair what you do makes me happy and to get to see all the beauty thank you thank you so much
Thanks for cleaning up someone's mess and also for introducing us to your dad. He seems to have a bit of the Grumpy vibe with the banter between you two!🙂
What a wonderful cheat for attaching chains......brilliant.
Dads lucky or smart “I’ll hold the camera, you chain up” lol
Might hafta do something with the shiny side rails sooner than later. Sounds like the chains were rubbing a bit. Thanks for all the great videos!
You were definitely having fun with your dad.
How gr8 for you to have your Dad with you. These are special times. I do enjoy your videos 🙂
Casey, I really appreciate what you do on your excursions especially the environment part of the clean up work. It's not fun but when completed very very rewarding. I was a camper, hunter and fisherman from southern California and went out of state to do the same and always packed my/our trash out and brought it home or to a proper disposal container. In the 70'S I started recycling before recycling was cool, computer paper, cardboard, chipboard, foam, glass, aluminum cans by myself and found recycling centers to sell it to and made a few bucks for beer $$. I didn't need the money I did it for the environment and helped to keep valuable resources from going into landfill areas. I now live in northern Idaho and still do the same thing. I recently joined a rc model aircraft flying club close by. One day I was there went for a short walk and found a folded up aluminum can and got pissed, why is this here? Picked it up and put it in my truck and brought home. It's so easy to do. So all you campers, hunters, fishermen the ones that don't pack your trash out stop camping, hunting and fishing!!!
Hey Casey, another great video. The banter between everyone you work with is what makes it enjoyable.
Just curious, could you put a brake relief valve back by your bed controls? Then you could set/release from that point if/when you want.
Thanks again for the interesting video.
Keep up the Good Work and nice to meet your Father.
You gotta include your Dad more in your feed. Man I'm luvn this. Coop from NW Ga.
I would, but he lives 500 miles away
This is a great video and for a good cause and when you pulled that chain trick - awesome! Thank you Casey!
Enjoyed the banter between you and your dad. You are a chip off the old block for sure. See where you get your pleasant sense of humor.
@ 13:51 That's ok, Dad. He never listens to the camera, either. LOL We could have saved him SO much time! 😀
Thanks Casey and glad to see you get some time with your dad.
Love to hear the banter between you and your dad
Love you Dad need to have him on your more often
I enjoyed watching you get creative with the winch, pulley, and flat bed/under-reach
Thats a cool trick to lift the back of the truck! Awesome Job!
I thoroughly enjoy you and your dads back and forth about the best way to get that on the truck. 😂😂😂
Just a thank you. Most people would not care. I know how much it is needed. I try to help in southern Oregon.
I'm glad your Dad was there to help you. This is one of the best videos ever
I love when your dad makes a cameo ❤️
The banter between you and your father was quite entertaining!
Casey we need grumpy and pop's both on a rescue, it would be amazing content. Well for us, you may lose your mind. But Holy hell it would be some amazing content.
From a fellow driver, it's a whole lot easier to chain up before you get in trouble lol. And I wish I could have raised my drives of the ground like that! Much better. That was a great one, the interplay with your Dad had me laughing lol. Reminds me and my Dad together.
I've always wondered how you know so much about rigging, snatch blocks, winching, etc. at your age. It took me longer than you to get almost as good, but I didn't have my dad teaching me the tricks of the trade either. Your dad definitely knows what he's doing, as do you. There's nothing like towing a burnt vehicle to your gloves every time
Great job, as usual.
HEY! Hello Casey and thumbs UP!
Best office job ever great scenery glad guys like you take the time to clean up someone’s unnecessary mess thanks you and all that take the time to care ❤your videos
Always fun to watch dad and son banter.
I kept expecting you dad to say you got that stubborn trait from your mom.
Don't forget to grab that fifth wheel puller for your chains on the way to washing up!
Thanks for doing this for our lands. I've never been out west, but I appreciate that people like you are helping take care of them.
Thanks for sharing your time
It’s always a good day when you’re dad can heckle you wile your working. Thanks.
Dad knows best Casey😃! Your dad seems like good guy
Great video! And for such a good cause!
Even though I was flunking high school geometry, I took my geometry teacher duck hunting. As fate would have it, we got really bad stuck. We had trees very close to the truck. I had a winch on the front, and was able to move the truck using snatch blocks and cable extentions in just such a way that we got out of the situation and didn't even scratch the truck. I didn't get an A, but I did pass the class I guess because he realized that I knew enough about geometry as it relates to real world situations. (Or, maybe it was because I took him hunting). Who knows, I passed that class!!
Trial and error brother, it will teach all of us how to be good enough!
Love your videos Casey, I wish could be in Oregon again!
Some people are thinkers and some people are doers and sometimes the two are not to meet.
Thanks for what you are doing.
your dad is way cool and he loves busting your chops 🤣
Thank You for all the community support work that You do. Your are the best.
Thank you for doing this.
Good job on the clean up removal of the burnt out motor home chassis. Enjoyed seeing "pop" along swinging the camera too!!
Casey you do a great job and that is just an absolutely cool tow truck you were correct when you said you don't see too many of these around and I don't believe I've ever seen one like that I'm here in California so keep up the great work 😎
