In my honest opinion I think there is just too many things on pedestals in the middle of the room. One pedestal with a dynamic exhibit will suffice. I feel like the room needs to breathe a little bit in the middle so you can stand in the room and scan everything. That’s just my aesthetic though.
The reason you’re having issues and not know what to do, is because you’re trying to set up your collection exactly like a museum and not as a collector’s museum. They’re different. In a regular museum, people walk around to see each and every piece but it’s not set up where you can just sit and see each piece…you walk around, look at a piece, and go. A collector’s display is different. You set it up where you can be at a place where you can appreciate all the display in a certain place. The statues in the middle block a lot of the display. And the only way to appreciate most of them is to walk to it, like a regular museum. So the best you can do is to emulate to make it look like a museum, but at the same token, it should also be set up for a collector. I think you should put the desk along with a sofa, or swivel chair in the middle. Put the statues on pedestal in front of the wall with art. That way, when you’re on yours desk, you can see the art wall and the statues on pedestal, look you your left, right, behind you and see all the collections without anything blocking it, or having to walk to it to see and appreciate it. What may work in a regular museum will not work for a collector’s museum.
I think ya need a black leather couch in the room. Have the nice coffee table in the center you can place the Batman v. joker statue on. The bust need their own wall unfortunately. I’d line up the bust in the back bottom shelf with premium formate next to it.
No podiums at all, they take away from the view in the back and it will eliminate the potential of knocking one over. Batman sanity would go great in the center of your finch artwork
Seems like you’re trying to decide what the room wants to be when it grows up. Is it a museum space? Is is a studio/broadcast space? Is it a place for Chris to chill and unwind? My advice: Pick a principal purpose first and let that be the driver for space design and functionality. No matter which use you go with, collectors will continue to live vicariously with you and the environment. We do this to make us happier. Go with the choice that meets that end for you.
I think sanity would look really cool where you now have batman v joker. The wings of batman are so big it almost blocks out alot of the statues on your back wall
Where are all of the 1/3 tweeterhead's going? Lifesize Joker is too impressive to put on the back shelf. I would keep all of the busts together. The nice thing is you can always change it up later.
the batman v joker piece looked terrible on the shelf with it hanging over. I think a side dedicated to the life size bust centered with the movie pieces either side
Sanity blends into the wall but maybe will the color lights on it will pop. Ledger Joker is a must in the middle! I like the movie statues in the middle but you can change the ones around Ledger Joker out.
If you are going to do pedestals, I love the bust look on each side. The two busts give off a nice variety of pieces compared to the rest of your room and makes for a nice display. I highly suggest replacing your 3 cube pedestals and switch them out for the Better Home and Garden's 2 or 3 cube organizers. They are heavier at the base and have much more depth and width ontop to fit bigger pieces. I am currently using that technique with the Better Home and Gardens. Also, I would eliminate the middle pedestal and go with maybe a coffee table in the middle surrounded by the pedestals. It would give the display a much more even look and you could do a huge piece in the center on the coffee table to fit where it would scale better. I would find a specific spot for the black and white statue void of color by itself or find a way to put it as a centerpiece near your black and white art prints. Keep playing with things!
I don’t like how that middle statue is too big for the pedestal. I DO love these updates. Haha. I tried to move my statue collection around in the basement and put it right back. It’s work to move stuff around, but it’s fun work.
Hey buddy, need to do a 6’-8’ square in the middle of the room. Have it layered to 2-3 heights. 1/4 on the bottom row. 1/3 scale on the middle. Bust on the top. Need to have electronic rotating bases in this. The Joker 1/2 scale goes in the middle for sure. Put the pieces you love seeing 360degrees of. Collection is great! Keep up the great work.
From the outside looking in it seems like you are trying to set up the room as a art gallery or museum. I agree with some of the comments about removing the pedestals from the middle. For me a room like that would be my place of Zen. With the room I am room I have everything along the walls and seats in the middle and that gives me the chance to come down and just sit and relax, admire all of the collection. If you put it everything along the walls it give you an opportunity to come and sit down after a long day, decompress, have a drink, read or just watch tv in peace.
I've suggest lower displays in the middle before, large style coffee tables were talked about on Rogues Gallery at some point and I still think four of those are the answer for the middle of the room, It will allow for 1/3rd scales to be displayed without blocking everything else. Batman Sanity should be on a podium next to the Finch art they go hand and hand in black and white.
I think the whole display would look better without any statues in the middle. They clash with the pieces behind them and invoke a feeling of clutter (to me at least) Instead, I would but a small coffee table with some seating (maybe a sofa that can swivel so you can turn to see all of your display) because that would fall below the line of sight of the statues and wouldn’t clash. Plus it would be functional. Provide a comfortable spot to just sit back and enjoy the collection.
I like the idea of Sanity centered in the shelf. Do you still have that thick city scape background piece you used to have behind your PF’s? That would look good behind Sanity to give it a color background.
You could put a small table in the center of the room so that piece sits lower than the rest and still have the pedestals on the sides. Do a small round table a little bigger than the base of the joker and Batman, could look cool. Then maybe put the busts on the under parts of your side displays.
The Batman vs Joker works in the middle but I would go with a table that is lower. Also, unless Sanity is stand alone, I personally just think it is not working with your other larger pieces.
Acid pit will prob look better when you have a bigger podium. If you did wanna go 1/3 in middle instead of the bust, I’d put “say cheese” joker where joker bust is and then the funky leg/marilyn manroe bman on right side. They are huge and take away from viewing the back, but in person, I think that’s the point of a CENTERPIECE. It’ll stand out. And when you walk around em, you’ll notice the others. As another idea, maybe move bust to the front podiums 🤔 As an alternative option, you could also make shorter podiums. This way you won’t obstruct the view as much of the back if that’s the way you wanted to go as well. But that Batman’s wings are giant so might as well just let him stand out prob cuz he’s gonna prob even with lower podium If you put up movie stuff, def would swap all statues on podiums with all movie stuff
I do think you dont need all those pedestal pieces, at least right now. I feel like Ledger Bust middle room, with 1/3 Bale Batman and 1/3 Ledger Joker on the podiums behind him. Then the rest of the room just focus on filling out the tops and bottoms before doing anymore podiums in the middle of the room.
I honestly think no pedestals in the middle is the way to go. You can tell in your videos that you have to carefully move around the middle. I’m still a big fan of having a tv in the front and a small couch in the middle. I think you’ll be able to move around more.
I think it's almost time for you to decide which statue should be on the bottom shelf, although I'm not happy with statues on the bottom shelf, but I don't think you'll be happy to have the big figures in the middle, I mean the ones with a big base the other 1/3 as catwoman and the others seem fine as you had it before and can understand the other 1/4 loses a bit by being in the back when the room is so big but I don't think it will look good in the side either
I liked your movie piece setup…I know you talked about villains in the middle. What about sanity in the middle with villains around it? That way it won’t be lost
It looks good in the middle as it ties the room together with Batman and Joker in the center. Maybe the movie pieces in the corners or along one side. But all variations look cool either way.
If it were my space, I would put my nine favorite 1:3 scale pieces on nine pedestals in the middle of the room. They would comprise my "Center Pieces" and be the main attraction of the room for me. Maximize the "WOW!" factor.
Maybe Sanity in the center podium on a new podium that's a little taller to further emphasize it (and some mutlticolor LEDs around it to gove it thag color). Then Batman v Joker on the podium behind to the right, Batman vs Croc on the podium to the left, then maybe Batman vs Joker who laughs in the front left? I think you said you were planning on getting the vs pieces. But my point is, sanity should be center. Color or not, that's the idea of the room. So putting it center works, then surrounding it by VS's would be cool.
The collector’s endless cycle of anticipation and discontentment. If it was my space I would get rid of everything in the middle and make the room more usable so you can enjoy the collection more. Maybe a couch, card table, football table, etc. Two loveseats facing each other with a coffee table in the middle for a center piece would be cool. As for the current setup, adding bigger pieces in the middle makes it look more cluttered. I would stick with the busts and/or movie pieces.
I have posted this before, I would do dio's in the middle. I would keep Batman vs Joker in the middle. Move batman from the Finch wall to the left of batman vs joker and pair him up with penguin. Middle right put joker and punchline. Keep the batman and joker bust's on pedestals up front, or behind. As much as I would hate to see you sell the Heath Ledger joker I think he out of place in the collection. The Heath Ledger Joker could look good on a pedestal between the double doors, you do have art there. I have also posted this before...Building an island in the middle of your room the size of the rug with a riser in the middle for Batman vs Joker would be a solution to your problem. You would have four sides for statues. one to Four different themes. Movie statues on one for two sides.
I would put the Joker and Batman busts in the middle. They look the same size, and would compliment each other. It would be a good balance with the Joker looking like he's the center of attention. And Batman like he's all serious. With your current Batman statue in the middle, his cape looks like he's blocking the view from what's behind him. I'd place your Heath Ledger bust next too a Margo Robbie bust of Harley Quinn, (if you have one). Partner's in crime. Lol
The two sideshow busts are keepers and look great where they are. Heath doesn’t fit there in my opinion. The Batman/Joker in middle looks great, but I agree the cape will block a lot of the back. Idk my friend, all I can say is play around with it and whatever makes YOU the happiest go for it.
Personally I would do Sanity in the middle and then Hush Poison ivy/Blitzway Catwoman on the back left and right and then the favorite 1/3rd Batman/Joker statues on the front two.
Me personally I feel that Sanity gets lost in the back wall. I think that it deserve a more viewable place. The Batman/ Joker in the middle does work if the podium would be bigger offocurse. But to be honest, it hurts to see that Ledger bust on the floor. I think that he still deserves a prominent place in the middle. With LBS coming I would sell Arkham Freeze and Croc to make space. If this was my cave I would have all 1/4 at the back wall. Prime 1 all on the left high and bottom shelf . LBS all on the right. And in the future the TH busts between them.
Your family won't see Batman the way you do. (See Mr. X's Balrog nightlight) ... I mean Batman is a pretty dark franchise. That statue really is a impactful piece; deserves better than back shelf. And the 1/3rd should be back where it was for sure, but those podiums make me nervous man. lol. I have said before, look into Gladiator work benches. May not be ideal, but you they are pretty, and you will never knock anything over. You could line 2 up and gain a huge amount of space to keep things top shelf. Would never worry about anyone knocking a podium over.
No one likes statues down low… but when space is a premium, you have to. Of course after the fact… I feel book / comics need to go eye level or higher. No love way down low. Figure a way to show some more art on the walls… you have some great commissions! Still… great collection Chris!!
Who looks across a room that size at a single statue anyway. If each statue looks good where it is, next to what it is, when standing in front of it, thats all that matter. All those podium in the middle freak me out though. You meed one larger podium in the middle. You could design it like a Gotham rooftop.
Batman vs Joker doesn’t work in the middle imo. The shape/silhouette doesn’t scream centerpiece to me. It blocks too much in the wrong way. Of course, anything in the middle will block something, but this blocks different. If that even makes sense. Hahaha
Sorry but it's starting to look cluttered. Your Batman and Joker piece in the centre, although a terrific piece, just covers up way too much of the back wall. I think your podiums are giving your space an overly cluttered feeling. Everything is getting lost in the overwhelming chaos of colours and shapes.
You should put insanity batman with all them black and white art prints..get your self that christian bale batman bust to go with ledger joker and put the busts with thier 1/3 side by side together
It was a good try, but not quite feelin' that Batman/Joker in the middle. If anything, that spot feels like it's Sanity's for the takin' & then surrounded by your busts/movie pieces. That's my 2 cents.
Pieces (statues / busts) should appear in the middle ONLY when you may struggle with space. If you filled all the empty spots you have near the walls ..there will not be any statue / bust in the middle of the frickin room. For me your display often Iooks cIuttered and is because of the things in the middle (that blocks views to what is near the walls).
Don’t like that Batman vs joker in the middle to big blocking way to much. Would love as someone else said throw in a couch in the middle with a table and the Batman cs joker to lower it
All bust need to go. Start there first and then arrange from there. Oh and the video game pieces as well with the all the busts. The sideshow premium formats also don't hit. They seem off. Xm insanity belongs in the t middle for sure.
Run it by us? No man, it's your collection. 😂 Build it as your collection and not a display for the livestreams. Any quarter scales and busts would look way better than big 1/3rds in the middle. And you have wide third pieces so none of them would look good midroom. Honestly the LBS DC pieces would be a better fit mid because they're not that wide.
Not a Fan of the Pedestals and all the big Pieces in the Middle - especially Batman v Joker Piece is way too big an blocks everything. Instead make one bigger Display in a U-Form in the Middle and put the Movie-Pieces or the 1/4-Scale Pieces on it. Also Sanity should be displayed in Front of the Wall with all the Finch-Art - they belong together.
In my honest opinion I think there is just too many things on pedestals in the middle of the room. One pedestal with a dynamic exhibit will suffice. I feel like the room needs to breathe a little bit in the middle so you can stand in the room and scan everything. That’s just my aesthetic though.
Agree remove few pedistools
That batman statue in the middle and the life size busts surrounding it. My opinion. Great display and set up nonetheless brother. Keep it up!
The reason you’re having issues and not know what to do, is because you’re trying to set up your collection exactly like a museum and not as a collector’s museum. They’re different.

What may work in a regular museum will not work for a collector’s museum.
We all do this on a regular basis. You should remove the center pedestal so the back wall can be viewed.
I think ya need a black leather couch in the room. Have the nice coffee table in the center you can place the Batman v. joker statue on. The bust need their own wall unfortunately. I’d line up the bust in the back bottom shelf with premium formate next to it.

I tried it there but was really small.
I think that you dont know how use your space.... each week share with us a video about changes in your display.
Where are all of the 1/3 tweeterhead's going? Lifesize Joker is too impressive to put on the back shelf. I would keep all of the busts together. The nice thing is you can always change it up later.
lose the pedestals and have a large table display for the bigger 1/3 diorama pieces

that b&w sanity should go with the b&w original arts! try it on that wall. that's a no brainer to display it anywhere else!
I'd recommend the centre plinths should be varying heights depending on which piece you want to display so as not to obscure the edge display pieces.
The Batman vs Joker is definitely a center piece. The center of the room is absolutely the place for it in my opinion. 👍
I don’t like how that middle statue is too big for the pedestal. I DO love these updates. Haha. I tried to move my statue collection around in the basement and put it right back. It’s work to move stuff around, but it’s fun work.

Collection is great! Keep up the great work.
Chris this just my opinion, I think it’s time to hang it up on the Arkham line.Use the money for original art or new statues ,comic based
I like the Ledger bust in the middle personally. Very nice centerpiece.
From the outside looking in it seems like you are trying to set up the room as a art gallery or museum. I agree with some of the comments about removing the pedestals from the middle. that center pillar could be a good "rotating" spot. where intentionally you change what is there every month or so

I actually think the pedestals block a lot of the back wall. So I'd either switch it back or eliminate the pedestals and utilize the bottoms.
Acid pit will prob look better when you have a bigger podium.

I like the diorama as a centerpiece, but I'm not really a movie statue guy.
Thanks for your thoughts
I liked your movie piece setup…I know you talked about villains in the middle. What about sanity in the middle with villains around it? That way it won’t be lost

batman joker in the middle is a good idea, but you need to use lower podium so it won't obstruct the white knight behind

Hey Chris. Like I mentioned last time. Think it works best if you had movie pieces in the middle and comic styled pieces along the side.
I’d like to see you sitting at the computer with Batman vs Joker in middle. Maybe it would be cooler from that angle
Instead of multiple separate pedestals, why not an island in the middle with several pieces on it displayed at different elevations?
I like the movie stuff in the middle. I'd put sanity on your desk and keep 1/4 in the back and 1/3 comics on the sides
Awesome Room do you still have your Superman hush statue thanks
Where are your Finch portraits gonna go? Sanity would probably look great in the center of those.
Personally I would do Sanity in the middle and then Hush Poison ivy/Blitzway Catwoman on the back left and right and then the favorite 1/3rd Batman/Joker statues on the front two.
Sanity blends into the wall unfortunately Chris, I think the movie pieces should go back in the middle with the Joker bust.
Where are you going to put the Ledger Joker if Sanity is in the middle now?
No one likes statues down low… but when space is a premium, you have to. Of course after the fact… I feel book / comics need to go eye level or higher. No love way down low. Figure a way to show some more art on the walls… you have some great commissions! Still… great collection Chris!!
Sanity might look great under your art wall, like right under batman art but there is no space
I thought you were going to knock that off as you walked between the podiums.
Maybe lower the height of the Batman vs Joker podium. BUT KEEP THE LIFE SIZE BUSTS!
Imo one statue in the middle and be done and just rotate it out every month since you have so many
Who looks across a room that size at a single statue anyway. If each statue looks good where it is, next to what it is, when standing in front of it, thats all that matter. All those podium in the middle freak me out though. You meed one larger podium in the middle. You could design it like a Gotham rooftop.
Maybe put all your favorite Batman and Joker pieces in the middle, on pedestals.
Put your desk in the middle of the room and utilise the wall at the back. Too many statues in the middle. IMO
I don’t understand the stuff in the middle and loads of empty shelves, the things in the middle just block the view
Remove all the pedestal
Stick to the movie pieces in the middle, the original set up looks best.
👍
Noooò bust cant go they part your channel .move as long you not sell them
❤🎉🎉😢😮
You almost need two long, podiums with the length of the room. Not a fan of the disjointed podiums tbh. My two cents 🪙 🪙 🦇
