I was looking at your Show More and I clicked on Sohaib's first ride. Oddly enough that came up in my feed a few days ago and I watched it then. LOL, small world. Thanks for linking my post!
Wow, Brian! I watched your older Downieville video and compared it to this one. You're flying! You got so much better...great! Keep it up! Your attitude always makes me wanna go ride! "Good shit, nobody is dead"... :D
BKXC your riding has certainly jumped up a notch especially on the dh stuff. Other than riding a a lot,is there one or two skills that you think made a big difference. I wanna shred like you!
Came here to say the same thing. If two years ago Brian saw this video with the sound turned off, I bet he would think there's no way that could be him shredding the trail that hard.
So cool to compare this vid to the Downieville vid from last season- PROGRESSION!! The "YEAHHHH!!" that you let out in the 10th minute sums up what this channel is all about. THX MAN!
Brian it was great to see your positivity and stoke level so high. Haven't seen that as much in your past several videos. I hope you keep that going. Awesome vid.
Mountain biking is always a progression of how far you can push your safety limits without getting hurt. Hitting the bike park tomorrow, hoping for a safe ride and heaps of fun. Cool group vid
"I used to think that was steep." This is one of the coolest things! I'm not nearly as advanced as you, but I've experienced the same thoughts as I've progressed. It's always rewarding to have confirmation that you're getting better!
Hi Brian. I just finnished watching all you upploads, one by one, in upload order. I'm on vacation in Sweden, having a great time watching you, spening time with my family and going on 4 to 5 hours bike rides where ever I happend to be at the time. Keep on doing what you do. You are doing well. Life is pain and pleasure for sure.
It's one of my favorite places to ride! Used to live in Quincy, lots of unmarked trails around and Downieville was close by. Great area, great biking. Man I miss those forests.
I probably rode that 8 times before I knew it was a cliff. The shuttle driver told us bikes have gone off there, I didn't ask about the riders, didn't want to know. Nice work in the rock garden by the way. I've cleaned it once on that left line; that's the most intimidating section of that whole run to me.
Ahh I can't get enough of your videos! You're videos are truly inspiring, and damn addicting. Good to see a fellow Bay Area native killing it! I could learn a trick or two from you.
Freakin loved this. Reminds me so much of my last trip there. This trail system is so epic, but can really jack you and your bike up if you aren't on your game. The group I was in last had so many mechanicals and injured bodies, it was insane. But awesome.
Looks like you had so much fun! I've been making an effort to spend less time watching MTB videos and riding my own instead. Did our local loop yesterday - and got PRs on every single segment of the trail! So great to be feeling I'm improving just like we can all see you are!
Yippee_Ki_Yay MF it's really really hard to get exposure just right on these trails that go in and out of the shadows, especially on bright sunny days like the one he had. It is basically going to be either over exposed in sunlight or it will turn any shadows in to straight blackness, you basically just have to choose which one you can live with
I bet! I watch your videos and get extremely motivated to go ride, when feeling lazy, but only because here in south texas temps are always above 100°F!
I always carry a Ziploc for the empties when I'm on a ride where I have to pack my own trash out. I can never quite get all of the gel out, even with the toothpaste tube-roll method. If I'm wearing a roadie style jersey, those back pockets hold a Ziploc of trash just fine. Great vid as usual, Brian. Downieville is my Holy Grail right now, trying to work up my fitness and rock confidence before I get there.
Definitely need to just carry a ziploc! I hope you get to downieville this year, don't build it up too much, you can always go slow or walk the tough stuff.
This was a lot of fun to watch. It was great to see you having such a good time and just being yourself. It's fun to see how far your overall confidence has come. By the way, I swear like a sailor when I'm flying down a hill.... Fuck Yeah!!
Dude! Anytime you have one of those syrup packets or a GU, just rub the eatin end in the dirt a few times. Covers anything sticky with dirt, and makes it WAY easier to put it in a pocket to pack it out!
TOTALLY agree on the RS Guide Ultimate brakes! People swear by Shimano XT for value/performance, but they don't modulate anything like the ultimates. Dude another sick trail man! Yeahhh!..... I'm trying to recruit some of my biking buddy to go with me it's 4hr away from Fremont. Thanks for another great video B.
At time 10:50 is the natural spring where you can refill you bottles and packs. Thanks, Dane P. for the info. Oh and Greg at D-Ville Outfitters said he's been drinking the water in the creeks for 30yrs and never had a problem. 😎
What are your first impressions on the foam inserts? How did they feel on the trail? Any difference noted from just straight tubeless? Thanks for the great vids man, very motivating seeing your progression.
I'm retired Solano SO. Trying to get more riding in and managed to get one my best buds on a bike(18' trance)now if I could get my shoulder to fall in line.ill see you out there.
Brian, how are you liking your new GX Eagle? What drivetrain were you on before? I thought CC Bronsons had a pretty decent setup out of the box? I have GX 1X11 on my 16 Bronson C and was thinking about upgrading to GX Eagle down the road

BKXC hello, I like your videos because they're natural and fun. It's not boring to watch like 15 minutes. Keep up the good work!
Here's B1KER's story from that day: ruclips.net/video/HRcXXRz3Wcs/видео.html
I was looking at your Show More and I clicked on Sohaib's first ride. Oddly enough that came up in my feed a few days ago and I watched it then. LOL, small world. Thanks for linking my post!
This was one of the most fun rides no question. I appreciate the shout out! Can't wait for your videos on the IBIS!
Awesome dude, it was a ton of fun for me too!
BKXC let's ride local one you are back.
Glad to see your run go awesome! My group had the mechanical cloud follow us down the hill! At the end of the day it was still fun as hell!
It was a damn fun day AND night. Thanks for the invite!
Incredible trails, Brian. Thanks for sharing them!
Thanks Richard, this is a fun one if you ever make it to ride in California
Love being the 'guide' at local trails and seeing how others ride and supporting them. Keep up the great vids Brian
Thanks so much Ben!
that's an awesome sound when you have chunk hitting tires and parts then it goes silent...at that moment you realize the bike is airborne. love it!
Hahaha, so true, glad it comes through on video!
great video Brian! Downieville has always been on my bucket list, now I definitely need to do it.
Yeah man, you'd love it!
Wow, Brian! I watched your older Downieville video and compared it to this one. You're flying! You got so much better...great! Keep it up! Your attitude always makes me wanna go ride! "Good shit, nobody is dead"... :D
Nice!! Thanks man

Came here to say the same thing. If two years ago Brian saw this video with the sound turned off, I bet he would think there's no way that could be him shredding the trail that hard.
Dude Brian your riding skill has skyrocketed the past 6 months of riding! Great job and keep it up!
Thanks Christopher!! Glad you've stuck around to watch the journey!
Always fun to ride trails you've ridden ages ago just to see how far you've come
Yeah it's pretty cool!
So stoked to be able to share all those awesome trails with you Brian!
Thanks!!
10:45 I think that was the loudest scream yet hahaha
It was
So cool to compare this vid to the Downieville vid from last season- PROGRESSION!! The "YEAHHHH!!" that you let out in the 10th minute sums up what this channel is all about. THX MAN!
Nice!! Glad you're still here dude
Brian it was great to see your positivity and stoke level so high. Haven't seen that as much in your past several videos. I hope you keep that going. Awesome vid.
Thanks Alex!
Best place to ride and best video displaying the overall awesomeness of Downieville!
Glad you dug it!
Mountain biking is always a progression of how far you can push your safety limits without getting hurt. Hitting the bike park tomorrow, hoping for a safe ride and heaps of fun. Cool group vid
Nice!! Good stuff man
That was an amazing ride and the footage was awesome. Thanks Brian.
Thanks dude, seriously appreciate it
Awesome run BKXC, I really had fun watching it, I can imagine how fun it was running on that trail. NICEE
Glad you liked it! Hope you make it there some day!
I so love the sounds mountain bikes make when riding them.
Me too dude!
"I used to think that was steep." This is one of the coolest things! I'm not nearly as advanced as you, but I've experienced the same thoughts as I've progressed. It's always rewarding to have confirmation that you're getting better!
Yeah, it's pretty funny how things change!
Always fun to see rides from multiple angles!
Yeah man!
Wow, that's awesome, thanks for checking out what I'm doing!!
Nice to see you clean the gorge! I was remembering to your videos from last year and actually cheering you on from my desk.
Hahah that's so damn awesome! Glad I could make it this time!
Brian looks like he is having so much fun, you are riding like a champ👍😁
Thanks Dick, it was a blast!
Good shit Brain! Your progression with mountain biking is really showing! Keep up the great content!
Thanks Eric, I appreciate it!
I had to wait a day to watch this as I was working too hard. Well worth the wait!! its like rocky flow.. perfect!
Nice!! Glad it was worth the wait
"Good shit, nobody's dead!"
Sums up my group rised pretty well =D
Good to see you riding in Downieville again.
Hahaha, quote of the year
Brian u were frikkin pinning it out there man! Awesome to see how far youve come brother. Keep on climbing!
Thanks Cameron!
such amazing trails again! Your videos are just getting better and better Brian!
Thanks Wend!!
It's one of my favorite places to ride! Used to live in Quincy, lots of unmarked trails around and Downieville was close by. Great area, great biking. Man I miss those forests.
Yeah, so much more to explore!
just like a kid enjoying his xmas presents xD
Making me feel happier
Hahaha, definitely!
"Good shit...nobody's dead".... epic quote. 😄
Haha, it's not always a guarantee!
So so AWESOME! Loved the hootin and hallering. I need to get there and ride.
Thanks man! Get out there and ride!
Good meeting y'all up there!
Yeah buddy!
Probably my favorite video from you ever!!! Keep it up!!
Wow, that's saying something! Thanks John
BKXC No problem!! Thank you so much for the reply!! Made my day!
Don't look down at 15:06 - straight drop to the river!
Love Downieville!
Man, that spot is quite nasty!
With every video i feel your skills are only getting better and better, keep it up!
Thanks Harry, I feel like I'm getting there!
I must ride there! B1ker is the epitome of why I enjoy YT vids - "real people doing real sh!t"
Yep, he's a cool dude!
Dude! No one knows why your videos are so damn good! Keep this amazing work up. You are on the up and up.
Thanks dude!!
Good to see you finally letting loose! YEOW!
Hahaha, let out a big loose on this one!
Just bought my very first mountain bike! GT avalanche comp. Keep up the great work!
NICE! Go have some fun
That was an awesome day. Still have a nice bruise from my OTB. Damn you guys were flying up front! Goals!
Hahaha, BATTLE SCARS! Glad you came out dude, it was a blast!
Bummer I missed this trip but watching the videos *almost* makes up for it.
Haha ALMOST
One of my favorite vids so far!
Thanks!!
Such a good video! It flew by I didn't realize it was 15 minutes!
Haha, that's good!
This video was one of your best! Keep up the shredding!
Thanks dude!
You give me inspiration to push myself on the trails!
Love hearing that!
Awesome trail bro , nice ! The Evil bike looks sweet Bri , safe riding man 👍🏽👍🏽🌲🌲
🤘🎅🤘
Great trip man! I always get a kick out of seeing snow in some of these videos.
Thanks so much Gene!
Ahh I can't get enough of your videos! You're videos are truly inspiring, and damn addicting. Good to see a fellow Bay Area native killing it! I could learn a trick or two from you.
Wow, thanks so much Nicole!! Getting people outside and riding is what it's all about
those trails look awesome! Nice job @BKXC
Thanks Joshua!
Awesome man. You've become a hell of a rider.
Thanks Zach, glad you've stuck around to watch the evolution!
Downieville looks so awesome. I can tell you're getting better, too (and you're definitely better than me, ha)!
Thanks so much Jordan! It's a blast, man, put it on the list!
riding like a pro Brian! thanks for the vid.
Thanks dude!!
Freakin loved this. Reminds me so much of my last trip there. This trail system is so epic, but can really jack you and your bike up if you aren't on your game. The group I was in last had so many mechanicals and injured bodies, it was insane. But awesome.
Hahaha, it can be a war zone!
"good shit, nobody is dead" . LOL Thats how we roll👍
Haha so true
Big hello from Spain , great videos, keep it up!!!
Gracias amigo!
Looks like you had so much fun! I've been making an effort to spend less time watching MTB videos and riding my own instead. Did our local loop yesterday - and got PRs on every single segment of the trail! So great to be feeling I'm improving just like we can all see you are!
Good stuff man, I really hope people do more riding than watching!
BKXC definitely! You've got it so right, only issue with riding more is "the upgrade and tweak list" - us bikers are a fickle bunch!
Glad to see the Bronson back in action!
Yeah buddy!
Nice to see your own weapon "Bronson" on the trail again. Good job Brian.
It was a great weapon for that trail!
Absolutely! Keep it up...
Hey man. Another great video. What EC setting you using? This seemed a little overexposed in the sunlight? Or am I tripping?
He probably set it like the because the trail is mostly woods
Yippee_Ki_Yay MF it's really really hard to get exposure just right on these trails that go in and out of the shadows, especially on bright sunny days like the one he had. It is basically going to be either over exposed in sunlight or it will turn any shadows in to straight blackness, you basically just have to choose which one you can live with
I do -1. I know there are ND filters and such but it weighs the camera with the gimbal
Yeah I experience the same when trying to film my local in Bright. Haha. First world problems.
Nice ride....Downieville is so close to where I live and for some reason me and my buddies havent gone.....bucket list for sure
Do it!!
Just enough time to watch this, then go riding. keep up the good stuff :)
Haha love it!
What a great place to ride! Looking forward to the second part. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! ;-)
Thanks dude!!
Hot damn Brian! Riding with Zac and Dane has rubbed off on you big time. So damn fast now!
Gotta get better!
I bet! I watch your videos and get extremely motivated to go ride, when feeling lazy, but only because here in south texas temps are always above 100°F!
Whew!! Stay safe
great vid Brian, thank you for the motivation!...can't wait to hit doewnesville in a few weeks together w Tahoe.
AWESOME! Love hearing that Gus
Nice I went to the downeiville classic 3 years ago and it was sick. It's a tough one ☝️
Nice!!
Nice. good to see the Bronson back in action.
😁👍
Oh man I'm so tired from my ride yesterday, but this video is making me wishing to be right there riding that now! 👌🚵♂️🤘
Haha, that's the best thing I can hear
Dammmn that looks fun af.
You've gotten really fast bryan keep it up!
It was a ton of fun! Thanks Esteban
Love riding in Downieville!
It's the spot!
I always carry a Ziploc for the empties when I'm on a ride where I have to pack my own trash out. I can never quite get all of the gel out, even with the toothpaste tube-roll method. If I'm wearing a roadie style jersey, those back pockets hold a Ziploc of trash just fine.

Thanks Samantha, it was a blast!!
Great video Brian! 👏👏👏
Thanks dude!
NOOOO!!! Not to be continued again 😂 great video Brian
Hahaha, it's always to be continued if you think about it!
Yes that's true 👍 love the bike it's looking good
yet another awesome video from bkxc
Thanks Jamie, glad you liked it!
that trail looks awesome!
It rode even better!
Downieville... So Epic!!!
Such a great place!
Great video! I hope this question isn't too technical: Do you prefer the new Shimano XT brakes or the Sram brakes from this video?
I've only had the SRAM Ultimates on for a little while, so it's really not fair yet. That said, the ultimates feel awesome
BKXC Thanks for answering so many comments! We keep up your motivation with good comments and you keep ours up with replying so often.
Dude! Anytime you have one of those syrup packets or a GU, just rub the eatin end in the dirt a few times. Covers anything sticky with dirt, and makes it WAY easier to put it in a pocket to pack it out!
LOVE that tip dude!
TOTALLY agree on the RS Guide Ultimate brakes! People swear by Shimano XT for value/performance, but they don't modulate anything like the ultimates. I have XT and Ultimates, and it's not contest for me. The XT's are either on, or off, and I don't like that.
I rode some demo bikes recently with Eagle, and while I thought I'd never say that's something I would like, I did like have a total "relief" gear at times when my legs were wrecked. I think running it with a 34T would be a great mix of low end and top end. The 30T that was on the bike I demo'd was WAY to easy to top out on the descents.
Nice riding. You're going off things blind now, that you would have poked down even after sighting it first, just a few months ago. Sooo cool to see your riding progress by leaps and bounds. Hate the mottled lighting, but that's lfe....and we don't get to order up overcast days! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks man!! The ibis I'm riding now has some bad brakes, need my Ultimates!
What did you think of your time on the Intense Recluse. We had a demo day here recently, and the feedback on it was that it was amazing on the descents, but didn't pedal quite as well as expected. Word was that it behaved like a 160mm bike on the downs, but didn't climb like expected as an All Mountain/Trail bike. What was your takeaway from it? (For the record, their brand new Carbine long travel 29'er is VERY nice!)
Back at it again with the Bronson 👊
Yeah buddy!
Of all the bikes you've been on of late your riding seems so at home on the trusty Bronson, the things shreds!
It's a fast flat trail, perfect weapon for it!
I wanna ride that trail looks like so much fun. My favorite you've done is Downieville, Comfortably numb and Spain.
Nice!! Love hearing that you've got your favorites list. I hope you get out and do them!
BKXC. Well living in KS and won't fly gonna be tough but still inspire me to ride.
Glad you chose Spain as the best trail, makes me feel proud. I recommend you to go to Ainsa near to the Pyrenees, beautiful place, or Asturias.
I was there!
"I've fu%ed it up... oh no, wait a second... it's like... it's all of the above"))
😁👍
Great video, beginning to end.
Thanks man!!
Great day of riding Good idea keeping yours about 15 minutes. My edit turned out to be 26 minutes long. I should have cut it up into two parts like you did.
Haha yeah, you gotta cut to the bone!
I got couple cuts in my edit riding behind you. At the 18:30 mark is where you almost wiped out from trying to shut off your camera. If you find time in your busy schedule you should give it a quick look. I am pretty happy how it all came out.
damn...if i wasnt in Boise..i'd joined y'all... but will hit up Dville hopefully in a week or two. As always, i enjoy all your videos. Ride On bro!!!!!!
Nice, it's a great one!
Nice ride with some nice dudes and what a place:)
It was a great time!
Keep it up with the great content!!
Thanks Eli!
Dude another sick trail man! Yeahhh!..... I'm trying to recruit some of my biking buddy to go with me it's 4hr away from Fremont. Thanks for another great video B.
Do it!! Way worth it
At time 10:50 is the natural spring where you can refill you bottles and packs. Thanks, Dane P. for the info. Oh and Greg at D-Ville Outfitters said he's been drinking the water in the creeks for 30yrs and never had a problem. 😎
Oh wow, interesting!!
What are your first impressions on the foam inserts? How did they feel on the trail? Any difference noted from just straight tubeless? Thanks for the great vids man, very motivating seeing your progression.
I had a few hard hits on the wheels but they felt good!
This was awesome!
Thanks man!
I'm retired Solano SO. Trying to get more riding in and managed to get one my best buds on a bike(18' trance)now if I could get my shoulder to fall in line.ill see you out there.
That's awesome man, hope I do!
Wish I could've joined but I was in Tahoe that weekend, Shredding the tahoe rim trail. What a bummer right ;)
Haha, sounds like you did just fine!
Brian, how are you liking your new GX Eagle?
What drivetrain were you on before? I thought CC Bronsons had a pretty decent setup out of the box?
I have GX 1X11 on my 16 Bronson C and was thinking about upgrading to GX Eagle down the road
So far so good with GX! Need more time to test
