I've been struggling with video stats lately all over my social media platforms and I was met with the truth, (I agree with your point) no matter how high quality info your content has, if it's not engaging enough, the info is not getting to where you want it to get. 6:54 literally unsubbed from quite a few big name "filmmaker/content creators" because 95% of their content was this time wasting, obvious ploy to extend for ad breaks. I respect ad breaks for content creators and usually try and watch all the way through - but when it's 4 videos in a row of someone shopping, doing push ups, talking with their baby and making coffee - before even addressing the usually click baity and misleading title, it's just an instant turn off for me. Anyway loved this video dude haha keep em coming!
It's a definitely a line we've got to walk as creators. I personally believe adding 1 minute of nonsense just to get another ad in is never worth it in the long run. I'm far from perfect, but I try not to blabber on if it doesn't actually add to the video.
Hi Josh, I find your videos very helpful. I am just start to learn a photography and buy a new gear hence I’m very confused which camera and lens is good. I look over some of like canon RP, Fuji xt3, Fuji xt30 and Nikon z5 on internet. would you suggest me a camera and lens good for me at start.
The good news is, EVERY camera is pretty amazing these days and really it just comes down to personal preference and budget. I've been a Canon shooter for a while now so I'm a bit biased and would recommend something like a Canon RP, R7, or R10. I'm sure the Fuji or Nikon are fine as well, I just don't know enough about them.
