I don't think it's hard when you see your boys take a weird back yard game and turn in to an actual league with people watching from all over the world (watching from Israel myself) and I'm sure he loves baseball too
Szerlag’s batting average literally doubled after this series. Also my 2 teams that I predicted to miss the playoffs was the mallards and the magic. Mallards are out. Will the magic sneak in again?
The league has matured. Last year we found out that you needed more than one good pitcher. This year, especially for the Eagles and Mallards, we found out that if your team can't hit, it doesn't matter how good the pitching is.
I mean if it was against the magic lol or something then,maybe....But it's the gators the champs of the league. So... I see now the missed the playoffs lmao, so yeah that's rough. Tommy is currently not a top tier player anymore.

Well, the last 2 series, yeah. But the first 2 series he kinda sucked. Still might win it, especially if he keeps it up and gators end up making some noise
The mallards are just like the Mets. Fantastic start, even though their star (coughlin, lindor) wasn’t getting on base too often. Then it fell apart. They stopped winning games and both are likely out of the playoffs
The Gators were just locked in all day! Szerlag was hitting everything, Cheetam was bring the HRs and Jorgensen was painting the corners of the plate with his pitches. Great performance!
Tommy “ imma hit a ground ball and try & beat it out but didn’t and I’m 0-6!” Coughlin III. Szerlag got a nice swing. He has really come along way! Kid gonna be 6’5! Haha keep up these great videos!
Putting it in play is the name of the game. Look at Irwin's swing and how big of a cut he takes. He will strike out the overwhelming majority of the time with that swing. Same goes for guys like Brennan Russell. Watch Cheetham's swing. Small, quick cut through the zone and let the pitcher's velocity provide the power.
Kyle does such an amazing job with the production. If you watch some of the other channels out there, they are very cheap and cringey...trying way too hard. I'm 38 and I don't miss a series lol
Couple things: 1. I think you guys could stand to move the fence out a little. It seems like most of the well hit balls in this park are home runs. It would be more exciting to see more doubles and triples instead. 2. I think the speed limit is still too high. Some of these pitches that aren’t getting speed warnings look almost impossible to hit. Even reducing the speed limit to 70 would help a lot. You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.
I agree with 2 but 1… it’s hard enough to make contact with these insane pitches and when u do it has to be almost perfect for it to go anywhere. Wiffle balls do not fly if it isn’t hit squared.
Hilarious. I’m almost 43 and my wife overheard me watching this. Half way through explaining why it’s great (from the competition to production quality) I told her to leave me alone and go watch her stupid makeup tutorials. She knows she married a child 🤦♂️

Even when they put balls into play it wasn't quite enough - Stranded runners KILLED them. Even though it was a sweep, they easily could have won 2 of 3. 1-run loss in game 1 and then they had 2 runners on and down 2 in Game 3. - Crazy that this team was 3-1 at one point this season with wins against the Cats and Preds.. - Even with the elimination, I still feel like this is a solid team. NL is stacked and they caught some bad breaks. Trevor was an early MVP candidate, even if he struggled at the plate today. Cade has tons of potential as well. I wonder where the Mallards go from here. Any thoughts?
Tommy needs to relearn his pitching expertise, that was always the best part of his game (especially since he came back), then I think they’ll be solid. Their hitting is the weakest in the league imo. Caden hasn’t found it yet but looks to have pop, tommy sometimes makes solid contact but that’s about it, and bonham has fallen off since the wildcats series at the plate. I think they are the weakest NL team so let’s hope they get a huge bat in the draft next year.
@@icommentsometimes Yeah I think the killer was that Tommy had a very off year. I know he was hurt earlier in the year as well. The fact that he hasn't pitched much lately at all is concerning. I agree on their hitting though, it was bad. They were shut out in 6 of their 9 losses. big yikes. Bonham was hot at first and Cade is just a rookie still. Tommy by far puts the best bat on ball but it doesn't always equal a hit. I agree though, if they can kill the draft then I don't see why they can't rebound next year
Great job Gators! Someone needs to check Szerlag for PEDs. Cheetam is starting to come around to his playoff form. And Jorgensen pitching as good as he ever has. Going to make an interesting push towards the playoffs! Hang in there Tommy. Mallards are just one good power hitting draft pick from turning it around. Great job by Trevor pitching. Just need to get him some run support.
Power hitting? They just need somebody who can get on base. Tommy and Trevor are horrible batters. Their rookie gets an obvious pass this year but he needs to step up next season.
Really? I can't confirm this but if this is true that's crazy. He struggled this year for sure, hope he can turn it around unless he wants to step back for more administrative/marketing/podcast duties. Whatever he wants to do I will support 100%, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see him keep playing and lock in next year! Tc3 yessiree
Several big problems with the Mallards this year: no decent second arm, hitting was bad, and Tommy being very stubborn in his line-ups. I would've liked to see more of Brenden Davenport, he looks good in the field and good at the plate. I think in this upcoming draft they need to look for a consistent hitter or a good enough arm to get a solid #2 pitcher. Also Tommy needs to bench himself when he's injured.
That first out of the last inning, should have been called for obstruction. Cheetham is blocking first base and preventing Trevor from running thru the bag
I think Brendan's simply coming into his own. Practically every player during intro's for the past two years are in college - he was one of the few still in high school. It's not much different than when we see a minor league star at the age of 20 or so promoted to MLB. He may struggle for a season or two before he becomes one of the better players in the league. I think Szerlag will be a top-performer on offense in another 2-3 years since he'll have so much experience from a young age and will still be one of the younger players in the league.
Go Gators! They really put it together. Jorgenson’s pitching was fire 🔥 and slugfest for Chattum and Zorlag! Way to go! Thanks for the coverage and that’s the only mic’d up i’ve listened to in entirety haha great stuff
