Damn man your video made me change my whole concept of buying a camera, I was buying sony zv 1 but that cam has no wide angle , and the real scenerio you mentioned damn made me buy a action , though I won't buy this as it doesn't have screen ,I really need screen to see my self and be active on the cam , so I would be going with go pro 9 but thank you so much.
Glad it helped! The lack of the wide angle lens on the ZV 1 is the main issue that vloggers have had with it. If they make the next version a bit smaller and include a wider lens then I’d buy one but for now it’s not quite convenient enough for an every day vlog camera in my opinion
I mean I personally wouldn't choose a GoPro as a full time vlog camera for the reasons I outlined in this video and for the audio quality etc. It's great for the size and convenience but it does overheat and freeze often and it's not as easy to get a windmuff on the mics. The Sony x3000 is by far the best choice for general vlogs where you're filming yourself selfie style throughout your day. If your videos are going to be more set up where shots will be on a tripod or not selfie style then I'd look at the sony zv 1. Or if you don't need the camera to be compact then the canon m6 mark ii is a more professional option. Take a look at my kit page for different set ups www.kit.co/onitmedia
Bro watch videos of Bald And Bankrupt he has used sony fdr x 3000 in all of his videos. Actually repeatedly seeing at the screen during vlogging bring loss of concentration. So just point the fdr x 3000 towards your face and keep focusing on vlogs. Thereby not having a screen is a great advantage
Yeah I agree! I actually get so much more natural content when there's no screen. Another vlogger who has been very successful with the sony x3000 is Harold Baldr
Thank you! I’m due a new phone very soon and I’m thinking of getting the 12 pro max. If I do I’ll make sure to do a comparison. The iPhone 12 pro max also has optical image stabilisation So I expect it’ll be similar in daylight, although I very much doubt when the iPhone is on the wide lens setting it will be very good in lowlight conditions because the phone’s sensor size is small compared to the Sony x3000. But it’s standard lens should still do a good job
I wonder if you can help me. I have the X3000 and a while back it stopped recording trip data (GPS/Speedometer) which you used to be able to add as an overlay to your videos or for the live streaming options. I contacted Sony and they said it had something to do with them not having the proper contract with the providers for these services. Since then I changed computers and no longer have the Sony editing software. Does anyone know if these services are available now and if so what software I will need to access them?
I’m sorry but personally I’ve never used this feature because I’ve not used the Sony app or connected it to my phone at all. I’ve just used the camera on its own and edited the footage on Premiere Pro
I don't have a pocket 2 to compare but the reasons I would always choose the sony x3000 are because if you want to keep the pocket 2 in your pocket without damaging the gimbal then you need a case so you can't just pull it out and hit record. Also the pocket 2's lens isn't wide enough for vlogs unless you attach an additional lens which is magnetic so can easily fall off and get lost
I personally use 1080 50fps for most vlogging situations. Vivid colour and everything on auto. It adjust for light levels better than any other camera I own
I usually use Full HD at 50fps, it stops lights flickering in the footage (in the UK.. For USA a different fps might be needed) and then I either render the video at 25fps or 50fps. But I found filming at a higher frame rate is better on these cameras
As mentioned in the video I think this is a good thing because you don't focus on getting things perfect, you focus on whats actually going on infront of you. The lens is so wide that you always capture what you're pointing at. And also if you really wanted a screen there's a bluetooth screen that comes with the kit and I'm pretty sure you can also view it on the app
I personally have been filming in 1080 at 50fps. 4K is great but I haven’t thought it was necessary for vlog type content. I do upload at 4K though just to get the best out of RUclips’s compression settings
Unless the gopro starts using optical image stabilisation I'll always choose the sony x3000. The gopro 9 is amazing and can achieve some incredible footage in broad daylight but it still has issues with the touchscreen. Plus it overheats a lot. And freezes a lot, where you have to pull the battery out to turn it off and back on. The sony x3000 has never given me any issues and just works flawlessly

I own not one but 4 to make kayak fishing vídeos easy to synchronize with the control. Fully agree with you in fog or at night they are the best
Wow 4! I’m thinking of getting a 2nd to be honest!
I love my fdr x 3000. The best vlogging camera ever.
Yep, Im going to create a 1 year later update. Been vlogging with this for the last year and it’s pretty close to perfect for my needs.
Good idea! I've had my Sony x3000 around 7 months and still love it
I've shared this opinion for over a year. The Sony x3000 is king
If they ever make a newer version I'll be the 1st to buy lol
The sony x3000 along with my dji mini 2 is all I need
My thoughts exactly! I actually have avideo on the dji mini 2 if you want to check that out! ruclips.net/video/Mrd06xF8EZs/видео.html
Wow that stabilization at night is amazing!
It's one of the main things that sets this camera above the competitors!
Yes Optical image stabilization

@@ONITMedia so is go pro good if I am switching form my mobile or should I have other options too. For my vlog channel and main channel.

THE best vlogging camera. I've taken it to so many trips
I'm hoping one day they make an updated version!
I really enjoyed this video. You explained very well about the Sony x3000. Definitely will make a purchase. Thanks.
I'm glad it helped! It really is such a useful camera!
Nice content brooooo keep it up!
Thanks man. Appreciated!
Never heard of it.
It’s like your child. Don’t turn your back on your child man 😂

@Camera Conspiracies hahahaha 😅
What's her name? Going to buy ths cam
Great video! Subbed! How would you compare this to an iPhone 12 Pro Max? If possible, can you do a comparison?
Thank you! I’m due a new phone very soon and I’m thinking of getting the 12 pro max. If I do I’ll make sure to do a comparison. Couldn't agree more! That's why I just got a second X3000, just to have a different perspective while rideing my motorcycle.
They used them on the Long Way Up series for the motorcycle shots. It's great for this!
What settings do u use this Action Cam during Day and Night if I may ask? ))
I personally use 1080 50fps for most vlogging situations. Vivid colour and everything on auto. It adjust for light levels better than any other camera I own
Someone must give Sony marketing team a raise for endorsing you.
Unfortunately Sony haven't endorsed me but I love this product so much that I'd welcome any sponsorship from them!
What settings were you recording with the Sony for in the clips ?
I usually use Full HD at 50fps, it stops lights flickering in the footage (in the UK.. For USA a different fps might be needed) and then I either render the video at 25fps or 50fps. But I found filming at a higher frame rate is better on these cameras
how do u deal with having no screen to review your shots though ?
As mentioned in the video I think this is a good thing because you don't focus on getting things perfect, you focus on whats actually going on infront of you. The lens is so wide that you always capture what you're pointing at. In which resolution you're filming usually? HD or 4K?

@@ONITMedia `me too)) The beginning of the video is GREAT!!!
Can you get cinematic footage with the sony x3000
Yes you could follow this guide and apply the same principle to the sony x3000 ruclips.net/video/fNrKv45nEzQ/видео.html
You lied!!!!!
I thought the girls in the video were in the package when buying the camera
they're hidden on the last page of the manual haha
Super!!
What is the sound like
There's an example in the video. It's the best built in mic I've heard!
I know i know i know, i have the camera since 2015/12
Good One
Superb
😍😍
Can u try to give me a true review ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
even the gopro 9?
