I miss the early and mid 90's SO MUCH. Remember when you went to the mall you and your friends and you decide to go to the arcade. The floor carpets, the Neon, the techno music blasting. You have $10, and you play street fighter or Mortal Kombat for the whole day and in the evening you went to grab a pizza or a Big mac. Great times.
The shift came about because taupe was deemed soothing to those with anxiety. Rather than actually reduce stress in life, folks thought to make the cosmetic changes - which is why few people know how to manage stress these days. Just my thinking, tho - I'm wrong a lot.
Omfg the skating rinks in the 90s and early 2000s!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 We had the SKATE ZONE in my town back in the day and it stood there for years even after we grew up... They just demolished it a few years back and I'm still not over it....🤦🏻
Watching the homemaker shows while I wait for my car at the shop, they always make the houses' interiors a blinding white in all rooms with some light shades of grey to change it up a bit.
I've been modifying all of my current gen video game consoles by swapping their shells to bright 90s style transparent colors. Lol My PS5 looks like the Atomic Purple N64.
Idk definitely better than the brown of the 70s, but I do miss the colors occasionally. I like the modern color schemes, but there’s little variety. 80s and 90s may have been too much variety lol
She’s right and I think it’s because the 80’s were so dark. In the 80’s the atmosphere was dark blues & etc colors, dark contrast on tv. Chuck E. Cheese was like cave. The 90’s had a lot of vibrancy.

The beige apocalypse has reached Christmas decorations now if ya go into a Walmart or a target it's all neutral tones like brown tan beige make colors cool again!
