Let's talk about slightly less popular future settings that the Assassin's creed franchise could go to. Of course, this is pure speculation, but its always fun to dive in and see what place and time would make a good ac game.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game is the thirteenth major instalment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

A few years ago for a university project, i came up with the concept for an AC game set in 1920s Chicago during the probation era, centered around two protagonists, two rookie mafia gangsters - born and raised as members of the american mafia - who are childhood friends turned lovers (similar to the stories of Bonnie and Clyde). One of them was named Elsa Cormac (the focus character who is most prominent in the narrative), while the other was called Samuel Fei (both born in 1902) The narrative is loosely similar to AC Unity's narrative, but altered to fit the period, as well as fix glaring issues that game had with its plot; with one eventually joining the american assassin brotherhood - formally known as colonial brotherhood - while the other joins the templars (Elsa and Samuel respectively)

One small but cool idea for the Aztec Game..
Assassins often collect feathers, some like Bayek and the Frye Twins even carry the tradition of wiping a feather in the blood of their target as convormation of the unliving.
And the Aztec liked to use feathers as fashion accessoires... right?
What if the Aztec Assassin places those feathers, somewhere on his outfit, everytime he takes out one of his targets.. trophy feathers on your gear would be sick.
You start out with no feathers, in the end you have them all over you. On your leather strap sandals below the knee, a couple around one side of the waist on your belt, some on one shoulder, maybe one near the heart if it was a specialy personal unliving, one on the hidden blade(maybe the first one) and the very last one gets you a new version of your hood with a bloddy white feather somewhere. Something like that😅

  • @amichalove
    @amichalove 6 месяцев назад +15

I’ve been wanting an Aztec game too, but my idea was that the Order of the Ancients spread from Vinland down to Mexico, and Montezuma is their leader. The main character could be either just a typical rebel at first, or a sect of the Hidden Ones could have formed from one of the inhabitants of Vinland seeing Eivor and her hidden blade. The main conflict comes from the arrival of Templars, including Hernan Cortes, with the Assassins, maybe with Panfilo de Narvaez in their ranks, following behind. I think the idea of colonialism being represented with the Templars taking over the Order of Ancients would be cool, plus Montezuma’s gold could easily be pieces of Eden

I haven't seen what new releases Ubisoft have for AC, but I've always wanted one set in Ancient Rome, where the protagonist is either Brutus or an acolyte of Brutus as we see a lot of hideouts in Valhalla of Roman assassin's before the purge.
I loved the idea of playing as the descendant of Frye in Syndicate, who could work with Churchill to bring down a sect of Nazi's that are Templars looking for pieces of Eden, as they were heavily influenced by mythical artefacts (as seen in Wolfenstein and Indiana Jones), and the only rule that I would make for it is that you cannot kill Hitler as that would be too much.
And then I'd want a game set in the English Civil War where it was Royalists vs Roundheads, or the War of the Roses between Richard of York and Henry Tudor, somewhere in the middle ages where we might encounter Kassandra again, or maybe a setting in Asia that works better than the Chronicals series.
Either way, I miss when Assassin's Creed was about actual assassin's and not people who work with them, as cool as it looks to be a Spartan/Viking, but I would like to see them retry making a trilogy of games again like the Ezio Collection or the Rebel Collection where you play as 1 or a family of characters who go through different areas searching for a piece of Eden, rather than pick up one character, fulfill their journey from start to finish including dlc, then get rid of them by the next installment.

    @7dfive105 6 месяцев назад +16

I’m not sure what happened with Rome in the AC Universe but I imagine that would be a great place to have a game.
Imagine that the Templars and the Assassins are both at equal power and influence, and keep tugging back and forth over the control of Rome, because of its huge amount of influence in the world. Rome offers a giant’s foothold for both of the young groups. So the power struggle goes up and down as the Templars one-up the Assassins, and the Assassins do the same, then back again.
The Pax Romana would be an Assassin victory for the few hundred years it lasted. But ends with the death of Marcus Aurelius, which could happen any number of ways. The following years the Templars and Assassins fight again. However, this eventually leads to the destruction of Rome, and both of the groups have a sort of reformation, where they rethink what their true code and purposes are.

I require an antebellum South game set during 1858-1861. Following the prelude to the civil war and radicalism and in the eastern southern states like from Savannah to DC would be spectacular. 1860 election, bleeding Kansas, John Browns raid on Harpers Ferry, Slavery, plantations, abolitionists like Harriett Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and John Brown again, the battle of Fort Sumter. There’s so much to work with just including Harpers Ferry. Fighting off hordes of US marines and local militias and fighting in the brick house next to Brown and a shot of Robert E Lee in the background would be absolutely sick.

I think a country like India, which has centuries worth of documented history and a variety of cultures and time periods, is a wealth of content for Ubi to explore with AC which could easily lend to various styles of AC. The Indian British Struggle during the 1850s and 1860s can lend into a very classic experience. It's also the safest setting Ubi can go for without offending anyone in our country. If it is too close to Modern Day, then the Delhi Sultanate or the Mughal Empire can also work in favor of a traditional AC experience, perhaps have a game where you explore Delhi during the Sultanate, Mughal Architecture and Rajput Architecture is very beautiful and lends to a visually appealing aesthetic when doing parkour through the roofs of Delhi, Jaisalmer or any other major city in that region. You could also opt in for Rajendra Chola's empire, which spanned from Southern India, Sri Lanka to the Himalayas and all the way into the Malay Islands and Indonesia for a more open ended, perhaps RPG style experience or even a Black Flag type game where the protagonist has a ship and you could control the conflicts the Cholas had with the Sreevijayas through the naval battles.

You could easily place the Templars vs Assassins conflict in this period, Templars lead by the Spanish duke of Alva who was coming to the Netherlands to crush the rebellion and Assassins standing behind Willem of Oranje for a free Republic of the Netherlands, with a plot twist being that there are Templars among the calvinist protestants/republican Dutchmen or something like that. Not sure if this has already been talked about, but for a long while now, I've been thinking through how a game starring Robin Hood would play out. They could bring back the forest climbing from AC3, while also at the same time, focus on stealth. Robin could be a conflicted character, pulled between his loyalty to the brotherhood and his love for maid Marian, whose father just so happens to be a Templar and wants his daughter to join in the order. At the same time, Robin could be at odds with the Assassins, agreeing with their ideas of peace, yet at the same time being very much against killing unless absolutely neccesary.. I feel it could create a pretty interesting story and setting.

I have been talking to my mates about assassin's creed set in the Aztec Empire for years now! I would personally really love to see it because it is a lesser talked about topic in History (at least in Australia) and I would also find it interesting how it could be brought to life and how they would play the story without altering the storyline but keeping it somewhat true to history because the Aztecs will still have to lose to Spain otherwise how would Edward Kenway get introduced being on one of the Spanish's Treasure Fleet. Otherwise both the Assassins and Templars would have to be Spanish with Aztec connections/members that are new to the cause, but the Templars would be using their newly found friends to manipulate them for Templar profit and to backstab their communities.

Would love to see India and there is an extremely good reason for that. India was invaded or involved (Like alexander the great or mongols) with almost every big empire throughout its time. It was also the richest economy for centuries with kings having hundreds of thousands to millions of soldiers with some of the earliest huge navies. And also it expanded from Afghanistan to all the way to South east Asia, so it will be great to have all these settings. Not to say extremely huge amount of knowledge exchange from arguably the oldest university or institution Nalanda from all of the Asia. And a mix of culture of Natives, along with Afghan and Ottoman and also Eastern Asia. And it had some amazing lore with a lot of bad blood and nasty wars. I think Indian setting is quite underestimated due to lack of knowledge of how mighty ancient India was. And I will also love to have a proper game on China as it had great wars and settings to explore and amazing emperors and stories to explore. And Aztec will be really amazing to have too.

Also, my ideal AC game is Connor and Arno hunting Shay during the war of 1812.
My ideal setting for an AC game is probably the mongol takeover of China- you play as a member of the order of ancients who was trained as an assasin by his/ her mother, but trained as a Templar by his/ her father. But he/she is a member of the order of ancients, trying to keep the song dynasty intact, and are just as caught off guard as the assasins are when the mongols attack. Hidden ones and Ancients are forced to work together in the struggle to free the empire they call home from Khan himself.
Another cool one would be British occupied India, the British are basically always templars, and historically there were uprisings against British control.
Berlin during the early Cold War- the game starts with our main character watching the construction of the Berlin Wall completely sever him from his family, and all of his belongings, leaving him penniless in western Berlin, completely helpless in protecting his family caught in the Soviet sector.
So he becomes an assasin to better sneak between the sectors, helping where he can, and ending soviets, ex nazis, and templars alike in his fight for the freedom of his family. Cmon we need an AC game in Germany.
Also yes, WWII, we should have that one in Belgium, there was a secret rebellion against the nazis there, and they were fully occupied, also you could have a mission where you fight in the battle of the bulge, and then maybe it reaches into France a little bit so you can fight on D-Day.
The Latin American revolutions in northern South America and Central America. Templars are “liberating” people from the creoles (under new management,) and you need to actually help them- or better yet, you play as a Templar, and think- the whole time that you’re actually liberating them, and then see that it’s just another tyrant, so you switch over to the assassins last minute to try to fix your mistake.
The end of apartheid in South Africa would be cool, but it’s waaay to recent, and all of that was done peacefully- that’s what it’s famous for, so though the weird sectioned off cities would be cool to traverse, and it’s a beautiful story of triumph over oppression, it probably wouldn’t work for AC.
Ooh here’s a good one, the fall of the Mali empire in Saharan Africa. That would be really cool, trying to protect the empire (which had a great deal of freedom) from its demise? That’s cool.
Also the Carthaginian wars- it would have a ton of naval battles, and Carthage is cool-
Hell, Dar Al Islam’s conquest in southeastern Europe,
    The nepolianic wars-
    So many good opportunities

I know this one will never happen, but I would love an AC game in the 12 year truce in the 80 Years War (Dutch war of independence vs Spain). During this period in the Netherlands there was a political back and forth about continuing the war and thus fight for freedom from the Spanish or stopping and finding a compromise. It could be an interesting exploration about how much the Assassins are willing to commit/sacrifice to freedom and the political background could be an interesting place for high stakes assassinations. Besides the cities could feel a bit like Venice in AC2, which was well liked. Unfortunately I dont think this will happen as not many people are interested in the 80 Years War so it wont sell as well, but we can dream!

I've been hoping for a Spanish Assassin's Creed for a while. Got three particular periods in mind. Chronologically first, 10th Century apex of the Caliphate of Cordoba. The city was the largest in Europe next to Constantinople.
Second and not too long after would be late 11th century Iberia. The Christian and Muslim kingdoms and the culture contrast would be reminiscent of AC1's Crusade backdrop.
Last would be 16th Century Spain, Siglo de Oro, Back to the Renaissance in the heart of the first global empire. Absolutely insane century and playing as an Assassin influencing history by cloak and dagger would be cool as hell.

Any game whos setting involves firearms should copy AC:3. Slow 3 second long reload that takes a moment requiring you find a quiet spot. Enemies that have to stand still and vulnerable as they reload. Perfect. If they want to, have a experimental Leonardo DaVinci style Lorenzoni repeater or Collier revolver hidden in a ancient assassin tomb.

I feel like Ubisoft should make a game set during the American Civil War. They can have the map be made up of several parts of states that were heavily involved in the war. It would definitely have to be more open world but the story could be interesting with the choice between assassins (male or female) from either northern or southern American brotherhoods. I believe there’s even some lore that was made about this time period in books or something.

I would want to see a game set in yemen, during the time of the kingdom of sheba, if you look at pictures of Old Sana’a in yemen, you could imagine how sick the parkour would be. The only issue is that some might think it’s too similar to Iraq. Regardless, i think yemen has one of the most underrated kingdoms in history, and the terrain would be amazing for parkour and stealth. I suggest you look into the history of you haven’t. It is contested whether the kingdom originated in Yemen or Ethiopia, but it included both regions. However, yemens more dense city structures make sense
Another setting I’d love to see is ancient or more recent eras of india, which would honestly be insane. There are plenty of cities that would be perfect for parkour. The diversity of weapons that indian soldiers used would also be amazing (i’m pretty sure they even had a weapon similar to the chain blades that kratos uses😂). Plus, we could see elephant battles

Another is 1880s-early 1900s south africa. Most people don't know the history and have no idea how intriguing and interesting that part of history on the tip of africa was.
African tribes like the Zulus at their peak, Dutch decendant boërs at war with the British empire over the vast gold and diamond resources that was discovered at the time. And soooo much more. And it all leads into WW1 eventually.
