[TL;DR: Balance is everything.] I've been fixing deeply rooted issues for many years, but I've noticed a problem a while back thats debilitating me now: The more I fix, the emptier I become. I recently started reverting back to substances, and I'm struggling hard with it. Sobriety is a living hell... I stare at nothing and feel nothing all day. It's gotten to the point that I barely eat or sleep, and I stopped talking to everybody. I'm feeling emotion for the first time in weeks rn, and that's hope. You reminded of something so simple: My issues are nothing more than pieces of a broken soul. If I remove them all and don't replace them, all I will have is emptiness.
I've been an addict since I was 20. I'm 27, now. I went to rehab for three months. I was addicted to Xanax & Percs. When I got out of rehab, I got back on Percs, because I had my wisdom teeth removed & my dentist prescribed them (& let's be honest, I wanted them). It is incredibly hard to get off of drugs. You have to "find yourself" again. Especially if you've been addicted through your crucial development years (teens - 20's) because you've based your entire life/personality around who you are when you're high (especially if it's habitual, like an every day, multiple times a day thing). Juice has helped me through so much throughout my addiction, especially during & after rehab. I'm actually getting a tattoo dedicated to him that says, "It don't hurt as bad as it Used To" with "999" underneath it. Fly high, King. Rest in paradise 🙏
