@@johnnyparsnips7641 The point of such "obvious foreshadowing" is so the viewer has a different experience between the first watch and the subsequent viewings. The foreshadowing couldn't have possibly been obvious though, because the elements of time travel, 5th dimensional relay and black holes hadn't yet been introduced, and wouldn't be for another hour. Clearly though, you're so smart and humble that not only did you predict completely unpredictable plot elements with no context clues or substantial evidence, but you also forgot to mention that you invented foreshadowing, predictions, and the english language. Bravo!!

Another really cool note to make, (This movie was VERY accurate, scientifically) In the segment when they are attempting to dock while spinning, you will notice that Anne's character passes out after the spin is initiated, however Matthew's character remains conscious. This has to do with the gravitational force experienced at that high speed of a spin, and she was leaning into the pull of gravity. Blood was having trouble getting to her brain, so she passed out. However, Matthew's character is turning and leaning INTO the force of gravity, allowing for more normal bloodflow and he doesn't black out as a result.

When this movie came out it was the first ever movie where i saw completely full theatre. Not a single empty seat. Throughout the movie you could hear people woo-ing, aww-ing and sobbing at the emotional moments. When the credits rolled everyone was applauding for straight 30 seconds. We got out of the theatre, it was already 1AM and sat to finish up our popcorns (the theatre was in a local mall and the fast foods were closed with a lot of free empty seats). Pretty much everyone in my company couldn't grasp entirely the physics, so i started explaining it really simply, why the waves were that big, why Couper was 124 yo, how gravity affects time and so on. A good 5 minutes in, i turn back and there is a crowd of some 20 people listening to me like i was a physics professor. A girl asked what was the meaning of the tesseract at the end and i explained how "they" decided to represent time in 3 dimensions and all of a sudden you could hear everyone going "ahaaaaaa" and their light bulbs going on. Formed a really good core memory from that one, probably the best one yet.

Also when Christopher Nolan approached Hans Zimmer for the whole OST the only thing he told him this story was about it's the relationship between a Father and Daughter, Hans composed the whole thing with just that in mind, in the end all the scores match perfectly with the theme of the movie about space traveling.
