I purchased my Samsung s22 in November for 39K. The phone feels premium, and I love its compact size. The phone was heating like hell in the first week, but over time it got better. The best part is the cameras on this device, it takes terrific photos and videos. The only issue I have with this phone is the battery. I recommend buying it if you can charge it 1-2 times daily.
This just tells how big of a upgrade was s23 over s22. Bought it for 64k. Stunning pictures and videos. Never heated, works for almost whole day from 7 am to 8 or 9pm for a college student. Amazing performance some software bugs because of unstable one UI 6.0

Problem with S22 series is battery life due to 8Gen1 manufactured by Samsung Semiconductors, Qualcomm then gave the manufacturing of 8Gen2 to TSMC which is why the S23 series has such a great battery life.
My advice would be to wait a month or two, cause S24 series is launching on Jan 17th and after 1 month of that the prices of S23 series may come down.
ofc it won't come down to same as S22 series but still.

Qualcomm moved the foundry process from Samsung’s 4nm (Snapdragon 8 Gen1) to TSMC’s 4nm (Snapdragon 8+ Gen1) to solve the thermal issues in 8 Gen1. Same applies to all the Gen1 like 7 Gen1 which suffer from thermal and battery drain issues.
So along with green line on display , this issue was also samsung manufacturing fault
Qualcomm moved due to step increase in samsung's prices.
Ain't no company in this world cares about their customer.
Apple also tried to gave of half their manufacturing load to LG for screens but currently only Samsung has the technology to produces AMOLED displays.
Aur yeah green screen the main reason, battery expansion, heat aur sabse important folded display/cables h.
Kisi bhi screen ka ek dead area hota h jo pehle bezels mein fit hoa jata tha par ab jab bezels zaara se bache h toh companies seemless design dikhane ke liye display panel ko hi fold kar deti h jisse dead area ab screen ke pichhe h.
Samay ke saath heat, mobiles phones ka girna(without damage), tight jeans mein phone rakhna, aur manufacturing ke samay bhi micro level pe damages rehte h jo time ke saath ubhar kar aate h.
Insab se samay ke saath, display aur cables ke kuchh part damage ya short-circuited ho jaate h isiliye patli si green line dikhti h.
Updates mein phones full energy use karta h jisse yeh micro damage full current load ke karan short circuit ho jaate h.
Yeh green line ki problem new phones mein samsung advance manufacturing se micro tears/damage minimize kar sakta h.
Par yeah problem khatam nahi hone waali atleast used/old phones mein.

I have this phone but the heating issues are VERY severe and the battery backup is really REALLY BAD...And yes OnePlus 11R and Nothing Phone 2 have 8+ Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1 has good thermals
Apart from these problems the phone is ABSOLUTELY GREAT and I'm loving it

Bought this on September 2023 at around 37k ..yes gonna accept heats a little bit and battery sucks but apart from that no other problems been using Samsung devices from last 5yrs and going on..I can say its a good compact phone with amazing camera and premiumness to it ...but yes to one's who are planning to get it you can buy this if u can deal with heating and battery otherwise I would strongly suggest to go for S23 or wait for its price to drop and get it ..!

I was using S10 for last 3years which also is 6.1" and has 3400may battery.
So for me this S22 is perfect.

I had an s22, it was an absolute beautiful phone but for heavy users i wouldn't recommend it as it heated up a lot and the battery was average. For me it lasted the whole day and the heating wasnt that bad as im a light user. Taking pictures outdoors really made it slow tho. Using an s23 now and every issue mentioned was fixed ;) no point in upgrading for some years to come. But i would recommend the s22 over any other phones he mentioned because vo premiumness ka competition nahi hai specially considering the camera.

bought the s22 for 33999 after card discount for my mom and I couldn't be happier. At this price it's a steal, initially thought of purchasing s23 as budget wasn't a concern but again considering her usage I don't think she would even utilise 60% power of the sd 8gen1 chip so went ahead with this phone.

Snapdragon 888 and 8 Gen 1 were manufactured by Samsung foundry. That's why the thermal throttling issue was there.

No. It doesn't matter. I have a Realme GT 2 Pro which has 8 Gen 1. When the temperature rises then it drains more battery. But if it stays cool then the battery drain is normal and I usually get 7-8hrs of SOT.
Battery drain can be compensated with low screen resolution and low refresh rate plus LTPO 2 also helps alot.

Apart from 888 and 8 Gen 1, all other chipsets were manufactured by TSMC. That's why they have less thermal throttling issues.
On point video. Using S22 from Sept22. Got it for 50k.
Absolutely amazing phone to use. Great camera. My personal fav features are haptic, smooth fingerprint sensor and gorgeous display.
But the battery and heating is not manageable at all.
I'm quite average user. No gaming. No longer camera or social media usage.
I charge it in morning before office. Sometimes need to charge it during office too and again charge with car charger on my way home.😅
Please review S23 FE because there are only few ones who have reviewed that smartphone and Please do a comparison of it with S21 FE. BTW I appreciate your work and love your videos. More up to you in future 🙌🏻🙇🏻♂️
Battery issues are being exagerrated. Im a college student and have been using this phone for almost a year now. Can easily use the phone from morning to night when you come back home without needing to charge again. The phone heats under prolonged usage but with a good case you dont feel it as much. Very happy with my purchase.

Brother I would suggest S21 FE.... It has the same problem of battery as s22 but it gives more battery backup than s22 and infact the battery performance has improved after one ui 6.0

@@firework2158 it heats only when charging with the 25 watts brick or when I push for longer gaming periods. Battery might be an issue for you, it lasts 5 hrs approx on a single charge and I'm a heavy user, I keep 5G and 120hz on all the time, you might get like 30 more minutes there.

I have had my S22 since launch day and still love it the same with no plans on upgrading yet. The S22 gets so many updates and the UI is very aesthetically pleasing & smooth. I've also never had any issues with my battery life although it seems to be such a common issue. I actually think the opposite and feel that my phone holds up really well throughout the day & I really only end up having to charge it once, twice at max if I'm using it more heavily.
Some tips, I always make sure to optimize my phone, free up space and be mindful of anything that may be unknowingly draining my battery like bluetooth or certain apps/settings I'll disable them. Turning off wifi when you're outside/in a vehicle when it's not available since that could also be causing your phone to be using power to roam for networks. Turning on battery saver for certain games when you're on data. & Low power mode in general always goes a long way when you reach 50%

I got it during the Diwali sale. It heats up a lot and the battery life is horrible. The cameras (which is the same case with S23 series) boosts red tones a lot in pictures and oversharpens as well.

Samsung should've changed the chip from 8 gen 1 to 8 + gen1 on an updated version of s22, they should've have given same battery to s22 as s23, I know it sounds weird, but I have same thoughts on Nothing and iphone also, they should've kept the name of phone (2) as phone (1.1). I think smartphone brands should refrain from launching new model unless it's a new design altogether.
i bought S22 for my father, he has been a long Samsung user from TV's, Fridge, Microwave and Mobiles. He has used Samsung Ace, S3, Grand, A8 (2015) and A50, He upgraded from A50 to S22, which i think is the massive upgrade but he wasn't satisfied as the battery mah was lesser than A50's but didn't faced Heating Issues as such maybe because of smartphone case. Slowly he liked that phone, it recently got One UI 6 too so i hope it also got better in battery optimization and Heating. I am not an Samsung user as i use Redmi's Note 9 Pro Max, but my parents are samsung user and my brother is an Apple user. in my opinion, i liked the phone, its compact and fast, speakers are awesome, screen is damn good, battery can be issue but it charges fast so it isn't an issue but can be for travellers.

OP 11R and NP 2 have 8+gen1, not 8 gen1. 8+gen1 had fixed all the flaws of 8 gen1. S22 is not that great of a deal because of poor battery and inferior processor, but you'll get a great camera though.

I have S22+. Very good phone but heats up during summer and battery does not last one day even without music and bluetooth. I also have M51. It has bigger battery but its performance is also i think more enhanced. Mid range phone are better than flagships 😢

Recently bought this photo for 40000₹. Easy to handle, powerful to do heavy task, had heating issue in starting but after one ui 6 update heating has become low. Yep have to charge twice a day but on Normal usage can expect a day. Overall worth it.

BBD pe liya. Small hands hain, use karne mein bohot comfortable lagta hain. Recently Kashmir trip pe gaya tha, camera k saath phone ka telephoto lens bohot kaam aya. Aur android 14 aane k baad battery backup thoda better feel ho raha hain. 1 advice, agar koi heavy usage nahi kar raha to power saving mode on kar sakte hain.

(Thoda samajh k use karna hota hain bass, 1 din to chal hi jata hain. Mere case mein unwanted background apps nahi chalta, extra apps jo use nahi hota ya rarely use hota hain woh nahi installed rehta, auto brightness off rehta hain, dark mode, bt/mobile data/wifi use nahi ho raha to off rehta hain etc.)

Samsung still has the best software support along future updates. Unfortunately the battery life can be a deal breaker for many. Even my S22+ has a below average battery life at best and gaming drains the battery super fast and the charging speed is also slow.
I'm a user of S22+ after the update of 6.0 the phone feels really stable & good , before the update it was laggy & overheating issue were also coming but the update !!!! Wow totally changed🎉🎉🎉

Even the S22 Ultra after Android 14 update has battery issues, it drains pretty fast even with minimal usage.

I used it for six months and now my wife using it. We never faced any hard issue about heating and battery drain.
We are not hard users, just using for daily routine work without any gaming with one or two hours of screen time. S22 is very good phone with versatile camera and look.
Nowadays all tech youtubers focused on 40,000 just normal price (notice this) it's like they are forced it to do by companies so they can sell this ranges phones easily because now 40,000 is new mid range (despite in past 15,000-25, 000 was mid range)

Samsung wants to push Ultra model so badly that it purposely undermines the other iteration of Galaxy models irrespective of the year they were launched in for more profit hopes. The battery being the biggest con of these iterations. I would love to have a monster battery too for this price and it should not affect profit margins of Samsung in this price range at all. The under 10K budget phones now a days do not shy away in offering 5000mAH battery upfront or they will have one closer to it in the form of 4800mAH or 4900mAH. Samsung seriously needs to get their priorities right else other Android players gonna snatch the crown again. If they want to beat Apple then they have to first kill competition in Android premium segment by a huge margin. And these cheap moves of keeping low capacity battery in such a high price model will not help in any way no matter now they spend on their marketing. The other con being using their buggy Exynos chipset. If they really want to give best offering then either create a new chipset from ground up or adopt SD permanently though that will hamper their profit margins to some extent but whatever they need to do for their Galaxy series they need to do it fast.

I had ordered this phone, but after I checked the memory (which no one talks about) = 128GB, that itself was no go area, I don't know how people work with 128 (105 GB) in this age. Also battery capacity is low 3700mAh (3470mAh actual)

The problem with buying older phones is software updates. This phone is already almost 2 years old and therefore will only receive 2 more android updates. For someone who bought it around launch would have been able to benefit from 4 years of android updates and 5 of security, but buying it now , I don’t think is worth it. S23 fe is probably a better option

@@dronnlodhi7 S22 came with android 12 initially not 13. Anyways my point was that someone buying it now will only be covered for 2 to 3 years of software update. After that even if your phone is in top condition including the battery , it wont be advisable to keep using it due to lack of security updates. For someone who bought it around launch would have enjoyed updates for 5 years and by that time the battery is usually degraded and getting a new phone wont hurt as much.

I got the S21 FE 256GB SD 888 edition at discount in 34,000 Rupees and chose it over S22 because of :
1. Identical cameras if not better (Shockingly S21 FE has OIS, S22 doesn't)
2. Larger Display. ( I didn't want such a small display as I consume content in my phone).
3. Almost 10,000 cheaper in price (256 GB Variant as I needed more space).
4. Did not need SD Gen 1 as my use case is more than enough to be covered by SD 888.
5. Better Battery (Bad battery backup but still better than S22)
S22 also have ois in main and telephoto lens

Yes S22 have heating and battery issue. I purchased S22 plus. Very good battery backup and no heating issue.
So this is how I bought S22
1) Price drop will get it you for 38000 in any random sale.
2) spend 1800 on Samsung Power bank with 25W fast charging.
3) buy decent wireless earphones, I prefer neckband to let them hang arround neck all the time to avoid using phone for calls. Let's keep a budget of 1800 fir them.
4) Buy a good cover and use Matt Screen membrane. Put you down about 400.
Thus, whole package will cost you about 42000/-
You'll have to charge 3 times a day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

It is good that the battery life is small. People get a little free and sit on the phone. They watch the reel in Instagram and waste time. Apart from social media, the phone is ok for other work during the day.

I bought S22 it is a flagship phone and kills it's competition in camera and compactness and premiumness but the issues are it gets warm in normal tasks but it doesn't heates untill u play video or start gaming and start taking 4k video but when we tested it in Rajasthan for a trip it was getting warm but didn't heat unting capturing video and the battery life is 4:45 hr for continuous usage and we do charge our all phone 2 times a day so it is a perfect choise for us
Been using the s22 for almost an year now, my only and only complain is the battery life 4 h 30 m of screen on time on an average with 85% battery with all basic battery saving features on, which can do if you re not a phone addict like me.The phone does heats up on any heavy task but that rarely affects the performance on the phone so not really an issue for me(not for gamers).And if you re wondering if the camera is better on iphone 13, i have personally compared both the phones, the quality difference is minimal with s22 being better as it has the telephoto lens which changes the game, sharper 3x videos,photos.You may argue the color science to be better on 13 but thats it and u can always shoot raw on samsung and post edit and the amount of flexibility : pro video mode, potrait depth adj in video and dozens of modes just makes it the better option for camera specifically.

I pre-ordered s22 one on release . I was using note 10 plus at the time but due to the small size I ordered this. It has very very poor battery which drained like my salary . Also the screen was inferior in quality than my older note 10 plus. But performance and photography was top notch

S22 is a good device. I am using it for 15 days. I haven't faced any over heating specially after 14 update. Yes battery is only a down side of this flagship. But it's a beasts

Correction :::: 02:00 Its 8+ gen1 on OP11r and NP2. Which was manafactured by TSMC way better than 8Gen 1 running on S22 which has thermal issues and battery drain issues

Video is onpoint, but still i will recommend s22 to normal office going people who like to take photos,i have been using it and yes it has both the issues as per the video but for people who doesn't play games and want a phone which has good camera and other flagship features in this range. This is the best phone with it's own flaws.
