This guy is an accident looking for a place to happen. Failing to insulate the negative lead (big black wire) on the BMS after it was connected to the battery is unforgiveable. Then he made it worse by connecting the positive battery post to a loose cable with out insulating the loose end, so now he has a negative and positive cable hooked to the battery just swinging around with no insulation. Then even after the hooked the cables to the inverter he still had an uninsulated bolt/joint just swing around. Had he shorted the negative bms lead and the positive battery terminal/cable, all hell would have broke loose. Resulting in severe injury, fire, destroying the bms, maybe even death. 200 amps will hurt you bad. This guy came so close to shorting out that battery it sends shivers up my spine. Please find somebody else to learn from, this guy will get you hurt.
but the batteries are so pretty, It couldn't possibly hurt me, because anyone can buy it on amazon! They would be liable of they were dangerous. Or Amazon wouldn't allow it. I let my kids play around it in the living room. They would put stickers on it if they were dangerous. This is just a little science experiment for the kids.
How 200amp 24v can hurt you so bad? Explain. Other than big spark if short positive and negative. Human body resistance from one hand to other hand is over 500ko depend of moisture of skin. How 200amp can travel that 500Ko resistance? Ohm law.

I'm not even sure whether the BMS would even be able to disconnect at these currents or if the circuits would be fused closed 😅 The way he set it up in the middle part made me think he was trying to connect the neg to the pos on purpose xD
love the buss bars. id be curious if its possible to make them on that machine out of copper. aluminum is such a bad material for batteries in my honest opinion
Aluminum is quite common as a bus bar material. No clue what you are talking about. The only difference is the thickness but due to aluminums light weight it will end up weighing the same as a copper bar to get the same ampacity.

The big difference is that lithium iron phosphate cells like this can have 10 times the life of a car battery, and if you limit charge and discharge to 80% and 20% respectively and use the BMS to monitor and balance the cells, the lifespan can be even longer. Typically I would say that DIY, like this will be 2-3 times the price of an equivalent capacity car battery
that depends what one is gonna use it for , i have new cells 280ah 8s same bms , and for now i have a small dc-dc converter for 12v loads and a cheap puresinewave inverter labeled as 1500watt con( proberly will do no more than 500w) for 240v needs.. as a power storage unit from solar it is pretty good i usually use about 7-20 % of battery capasity overnight ,however my powercomsuption is very low.....

16 minute video with no audio just music made me feel like I was watching in ancient silent film in slow motion. Would have been better as a 2-minute video with audio. Even so they're not explaining how adding a little salt water and charging a motorcycle type battery for an hour can make it good again. I have fairly good luck adding fresh squeeze lemon juice because of it's acidic content it is somewhat effective breaking down solids on the lead plates in batteries.

LiFePo4 cells bought in Ogreen store nr 5729174 rated minimum 180 Ah, delivered cells 109 to 132 Ah. As a compensation the store offered a coupon for the next purchase.
They are pretty used up second hand cells. A 5A active balancer *might* keep them in line. It only costs $25. Chances are the capacity and internal resistance of your cells varies so much that you'll never be able to keep them perfectly in line with each other, you'd have to buy another set of 4 and then do some IR matching and capacity matching to build two 12V packs that are as similar as possible but thats not even a guarantee. No passive BMS has the ability to keep large cells above 25Ah in line with each other even if they are high quality cells with similar IR and capacity. Passive balancing BMS's usually have a balance current of 60mA at best.

I desperately need your advice! Everyone, feel free to advise me as well. I had 2 men working on the solar system in van. They replaced the batteries with a LiFePO4 12.8V 78Ah and a 12.8V 35Ah 448Wh. They installed a Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V Input, Power 2500W, Output 120V. I also have a Victron Smart Solar Charge Controller, MPPT 100/30. When the electrician hooked up everything sparks began flying, the system got hot, and he has given up trying to set it up. I have no solar power now in my van, which is my home. Please help! I can't waste any more money and I have no idea what I need. Thank you.
Better to post in a group of simular users of campers. Fb has a lot of groups that van help of look at posts on youtube like Will prowse. I think you need a balancer between your start and solarbattry. Also it is very low capacity for such big inverter?.. but i am not electrician.

Those cells test at 150 to 180Ah typically. Much more likely a 320Ah pack in the neighborhood of 3.8kwh
Mine tested over 200. Regardless, this pack is rated at 200ah not 400. It would have to be connected in parallel to be 400ah.

I think it's 3.2 volts for every cell, all hooked together gives 24 volts

That is a lot of power but also very expensive. You also need a powerful enough DC to AC inverter which makes it even more expensive

My Daly 200/12 volt won't pass 2 amps for 5 minutes.
I have those exact cells in my van right now it's a 3P 4S setup and they keep going out of balance I use the daly 200 amp BMS no fan

That inverter is too large but thats not your main issue. You likely have a wiring problem. Those two buffoons had no clue what they were doing
